The rest on your list are fair game to be sold on IMO! Maybe with the exception of Kisnorbo none of the players I mentioned should be sold for anything less than £3m plus add on! Nationwider Posted 27 April 2006 Share Posted 27 April 2006 With only 20 pros on the books at the moment, ideally we'd only be getting rid of the weakest links - Hamill, Sylla or possibly De Vries - to clear the way for midfield replacements. If we have to sell, I'd go down the Connolly route and make a quick profit on a striker, as they always fetch more than defenders (Stearman wouldn't fetch a million, unless he went on to play for England etc) - £2M+ for Fryatt would be hard to say no to. If you think that selling one of our top players can get us two new first team players its also difficult to argue with. As for Weso he may well be class but at that age we're not a club that can really take chances. If he was proven then of course but a youngster whose played hardly any games and had two serious injuries (both unlucky and not linked) we'd have to let him go if a bigger club came in for him with the promise of future rewards if/when he suceeds. Weso definetly won't command much of a fee either. Maybes for half a million? And where are you going to find someone to buy Sylla that can afford anything more than 100k? Fryatt's an asset, I agree. Some others I have toned down I think you priced highly purely on potential, weso for instance has been injured most of the season so this will obviously have a baring on a transfer fee, williams is high because of quality which like it or not has more baring on fee's then workrate, hume and fryatt I think are both good players but have still barely had a short time in this division and is the highest level they have played at.
