However you then decide that actually, you dont want Micheal Carrick playing a holding role, as he can't win the ball. You'd rather play your 4th choice center half out of postion there instead. So what was the point in taking Micheal Carrick instead of Jermaine Defoe? He's lost it I tell you. We don't stand a chance, Too many injureis and it's just one dodgy tatical descion after another.

It's still only media specualtion but if it is true I agree it is abit silly and i think Ericcson will lose the respect of the supporters and put further doubts on out worlc cup campaign!!!

Pundits to argue whether Rooney will be fit enough 3. Pundits to mention (seven times) that including Crouch in the squad gives Sven different opportunities 4. Gary Neville to caress himself intimately on the half-way line 5. The FA to issue postcards with Owen Hargreaves picture on so that people will recognise him 6. Five camera sweeps hunting out Walcotts "attractive" girlfriend 7. Close-up on one well-endowed blond jiggling up and down before kick-off 8. Pundits to agree that England still have a chance without Rooney 9. Commentator to mention that Crouch has many aspects to his game 10. Crowd to remain perplexed as to what they are at the end of 90 minutes 11. Everyone to agree that he is very tall...again 12. Sven to explain that the result was not the important thing but it was good to see how that players got on with each other and adapted to their new responsibilities and then everyone in the pub will get blind drunk and all agree that lifting the cup is a foregone conclusion

You're right. Carrick has been amazing this season. He did play sh it in the last friendly though.

I don't agree Carrager is going to suck hard in that role. Another player out of postion, I really dont see the poin in including Micheal Carrick in your squad if your going to play people out of postion, in his best postion Sven is losing more and more marbles every day. It just seems to have been a massive downward spiral since Rooney went down against Chelsea.

I'm sorry but i think Carrick showed his naivity in the role against Belerus, Carrager as defender (and has played in the role before) will be more defensivly disciplined and will allow Gerrard and Lampard to attack without fear. I do agree we need another striker but i don't want Defoe or AJ and would rather take Bent or Beattie.
