davieG Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 From that gospel of truth and reality the Mockery. Tiatto: I'm staying for another year Leicester City beat off other clubs, including one from the Premiership, to sign Australian midfielder Danny Tiatto for another season. Tiatto will rejoin City on Monday for the start of pre-season after being out of contract this summer. He had always maintained that he wanted to stay in English football and had interest shown from, among others, I understand, Sheffield United. But City boss Robert Kelly was relieved that the Walkers Stadium held sway. Kelly said: "I am pleased we have been able to keep Danny. He is a very competitive individual and a real winner to have in the squad. "He had the opportunity to go to other clubs but wanted to return to us." Kelly, however, is aware he has to curb Tiatto's energy and enthusiasm on the training ground to save his talents for the pitch in serious action. The Australian suffered several strains, bumps and bruises because of his all-action attitude, and that cost him in terms of appearances last season. Kelly said: "We are going to manage Danny a bit differently. He plays the same way on the training pitch as he does in games and that will have to change. "We want him to play 30-plus games for us and that means he needs to take a bit more care and save himself for games." Tiatto's decision to give it another go at City means Kelly has a left-sided player that could have been lacking in the make-up of the squad had the Australian elected to go elsewhere. The squad now come back to for pre-season training on Monday boosted by Tiatto's return which will add to the positive mood carried over from the end of last season. He prefers to play for us in the Championship than the Premier? This can only mean one of only two things either we've offered him a better cash deal or we've guaranteed him a starting place - either which stinks. Please don't come on here and say it's because he's loyal. I don't know whether to or
The People's Hero Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 Premier League club? My **** ar se. The Mockery buying LCFC spin again? Never!
Ajax Treesdown Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 WTF  Probably Watford?! They have just signed left back Chris Powell today who is about 37.
Babylon Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 I real winner? When exactly? He won £10 on the lottert last year.
Cat Burger Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 I dunno about crying, I think I'll john-p.com instead, that sounds like a laugh.
dandannieldanok Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 Could you imagine Tiatto playing for Sheff Utd up against Cristiano Ronaldo!
Poakey Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 Yet another positive post i see.Jeez i hope city players look on this forum as they'd be promoted by christmas with all the confidence they'll get from reading c r a p like this. Whats everyones problem with tiatto anyway,he had a bad season with injuries last season but the season before he was like a fans favorite. How many times did muzzy get injured??When i did see him play he gave it his all,hes an extra squad player for next season which by reading past posts on this forum we are only expected to get mid table at best,am i the only city fan whos looking forward to next season and think we can actually challenge for promotion? Why cant you just give him another chance, its not the end of the world, anyone else would think it was. De vries was our top goalscorer last season and he only played for half of it and he gets slated here.I think most people just put in post about these players is because it give them chance to type something hilarious like deep s h i t e etc..,Was you all slagging him when he scored that winner v Spurs? Come on City for next season!!

Plus on the De Vries thing, one good game does not make you a good striker. Did you not suffer like the rest of us in the Christmas 2005 period when De vries and Tiatto were in the team. And did we not vastly improve when De vries was out on loan and Tiatto injured?

Come on City for next season!! After Tiatto was sent off last season in the home draw versus Millwall, he should never have pulled on the Leicester City shirt again. He even dared to oppose the ref about the decision. Breathing fire as he waddled off, with no remorse, in the 57th minute. Before he got sent off he was pathetic, he's meant to play on the left, yet he fancies himself as a central midfield champagne charlie matchwinner, which of course he is not. The man is the complete antithesis of discipline. He's not up to it, and his contract renewal is a step backwards, simple as. And if you think he has done enough to warrant a contract extension, then you're a moron.
Daggers Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 ...had interest shown from, among others, I understand, Sheffield United. Interest, but no offer ~ and without a decent offer on the table he eventually agreed to sign up because no one else wanted him.

Come on City for next season!! It's all opinion but believe me my opinion of Tiatto has nothing to do with just last season, he's a very limited footballer so one legged that it makes him run around in little circles. He makes up for his inadequacies by charging around the pitch giving the impression he actually cares, even if he does care this is counter productive and leads to fouls, yellow cards and dismissals. By RK's own admission he is like this on the training pitch and leads to him being injured, yet another counter productive outcome of his headless chicken interpretation. I've never rated him and I can't help it if fans were seduced in the short term by this apparent passion. If what the Mercury is saying is true about him turning down a Premier team then that leads me to believe we are paying him far too much, heaven only knows what he was on before and it's no wonder we are flat broke. He doesn't even have a position in which he naturally fits - left back well that's just asking for trouble, left mid-field yes well that's where he's supposed to have been playing but he's never out there. I was in two minds whether to renew my season ticket this year, after being begged to by the club so that we can invest in decent players the clubs stabs us in the back with this poxy signing. Now you make think this is all melodramatic and maybe it is but this club is in my heart and Tiatto's signing makes it bleed.
Poakey Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 "Oh come on you cannot compare a legend like Muzzy with Tiatto. I'd have a crocked Izzet ahead of him anyway." yeah cause in my post i was stating the fact that tiattos a better player then izzet!Duh!!! Your right izzit was a legend but hes gone mate,he dosent play for leicester anymore or anyone else for that matter.I simply mentioned his name due to the injurys tiatto had last season when it seemed izzet had more injurys then anyone else who ever played for City. "Plus on the De Vries thing, one good game does not make you a good striker. Did you not suffer like the rest of us in the Christmas 2005 period when De vries and Tiatto were in the team. And did we not vastly improve when De vries was out on loan and Tiatto injured?" i remember when we beat wolves at home 1-0.awfull game and tiatto was our best player, awfull match but he kept going.i would say that particular match was our turning point last season.fair enough de vreis had gone but he still ended up our top scorer, dosent that mean anything?before you all jump down my throat no i dont think he should replace hume or fryatt but what if one of em get injured, what stiker we gonna use to replace em?oh yeah we will just unleash rooney or crespo. "After Tiatto was sent off last season in the home draw versus Millwall, he should never have pulled on the Leicester City shirt again. He even dared to oppose the ref about the decision. Breathing fire as he waddled off, with no remorse, in the 57th minute" Ha ha,is he the 1st player to ever get sent off for city then??least hes got some passion.ah sorry, maybe he should have shock the refs hand and gave him a peck on the cheek as he walked off.would that count as remorse? Is Rob Kelly a moron aswell then for giving him the extension?Nice response moron. i admit hes not outstanding but at least he plays the game with passion which i thought we loved at city but for some reason people on this forum use that against him, savage was no Pele but we loved him!the thing is iv never heard him booed at city, fans seem to be with him but on this forum everyone follows the same suit and slag players off that other users decide they dont like cause they think there clever following sheep and anyone who says different is not part off the in crowd and gets picked on and gets called names like moron, just like at primary school.for f###s sake hes a city player get behind him,he plays for your team!! sorry for not following the in crowd.
potter3 Posted 1 July 2006 Posted 1 July 2006 Yes but anyone who watches Leicester could see he didn't really do us much good last season
coale39 Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 he was pathetic, he's meant to play on the left, yet he fancies himself as a central midfield champagne charlie matchwinner, which of course he is not. The man is the complete antithesis of discipline. Too F*****G right. I dont know what your on about pokey2005. Passion? He just runs all over the place doing f**k all making stupid fouls. If he really was "passionate" he would stay in the left mid role and do a good job.
The People's Hero Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 I can't be bothered to read this thread, suffice to say Tiatto is sh it!

Maybe all the anti-Tiatto whingers should go and follow the trees, then they'd REALLY have plenty to moan about!

Maybe all the anti-Tiatto whingers should go and follow the trees, then they'd REALLY have plenty to moan about! Maybe you should support Germany for all the moaning you do about England. Following LCFC does not mean we have to be sheep, yes men and be satisfied with less than mediocraty.
macbeth Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 Maybe you should support Germany for all the moaning you do about England. Following LCFC does not mean we have to be sheep, yes men and be satisfied with less than mediocraty. too true ....the sychophants let sven **** up and had we achieved anything at the world cup it would have been despite him not because of him and if sven had listened to some of the concerns raised beforehand perhaps things may be different this morning .......... i don't want to see the same at leicester .. RKs done ok ....but we still have the right on this forum to complain if we feel stupid mistakes are being made
Micky Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 There are two scenarios to choose from: 1. Give Tiatto our support (even if we think he is poor) for the benefit of leicester. 2. Criticise Tiatto, causing bad feeling, a poor atmosphere and negative affect on the team. True leicester fans will know which one to choose.
davieG Posted 2 July 2006 Author Posted 2 July 2006 People don't seem to realise that you can disagree on a forum and still back the team 100% at the match. I've metaphorically booed many a player and the team on a forum but never booed either player or team at a game. Another thing I never, well at least as not as far as I can remember, and if I have I apologise unreservedly used the word hate with respect to a player or manager (Dennis Wise excepted ). I still think that the Tiatto signing is a very big error of judgement and I'm extremely unhappy about it and have the right to say so but will still cheer and shout for the collective team whom ever RK picks.
