Role models don't come much worse than him. he's done pretty well for himself, maybe looking up to the krays (much better in their day, it was) or jeffery archer or charles bronson (the criminal version) or various war mongers or --------- whomever, would be more desirable? 50 cent is pretty harmless really incidentally i'm reading 'enemy of god' by bernard cornwell the 2nd book in his arthurian trilogy, it's also the 2nd time i've read that trilogy. 'the lost diary's of adrien mole' are next up though

I don't know much about 50 Cent as a person, if someone likes the book and finds some inspiration then good luck to them. It doesn't mean he is going to go out and become a gangster, I like some of my Ernesto "Che" Guevara books, doesn't mean I am a revolutionist. Although I am thinking of it.

But anyway like The Milkman said if he wants to find the book inspiring then so be it, as long as he doesn't aspire to pop caps in asses and smack bitches of course.

Born in South Jamaica, Queens, 50 Cent began drug dealing at the age of twelve during the 1980s crack epidemic.[3] After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he was shot nine times in 2000. Fair play to him for sorting himself out however my problem is with that area of rap culture as a whole which is a whole load less innocent than Alice Cooper, in fact it's not really comparable in the slightest. Purely on a "I sorted myself out and have put my drug dealing past behind me" basis he may be inspirational. And I respect him for that. But I still don't like what he represents through his music. And this is coming from someone who still listens to some "gangster" hip hop. Does that make me a hypocrite? Probably!
