Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 Reported fee is £4m! Cov have done well there then and hopefully won't replace him before Friday!
Ikon_Klow Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goooodbye. I can practically hear my mate's tears already, oh dear, oh dear. Cov-scum! Going down with the Ipswich! I doubt too much money from the sale will be ploud back into their club for new players. Basically, they are fuc@ed for cash. They don't own the stadium and the club is charged up to the hilt with creditors
Ikon_Klow Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 See General Football and Sport Section... Fair point, sorry. I posted here as we are playing them on Friday and thought it was very topical for out forthcoming match.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 I doubt Micky Adams will let a Micky Adams side go out against Micky Adam's old club and Micky Adam's current clubs big rivals without spending the four million Micky Adams has recieved for Gary Mcsheffere. They will have that and probabley another million on top of that spent in time for kick off, maybe even by the end of today
Ric Flair Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 Cov will be able to kit themselves out with biddies now! Seriously though, they've done very well to get £4 mill for him. If spent wisely they could get a squad good enough to get promoted.

I.e Micky Adams thinks it's to big.

MONreborn Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 Micky adams will be chuffed with this deal, now micky adams can use the money micky adams has recieved, as well as the money micky adams received from an indivigual who will be remained that micky adams sold to crystal palace when micky adams astutely got him on a free transer. Micky adams has never had any money to spend now micky adams has money to spend and micky adams is delighted.

Collymore Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 Exciting times to be a Cov fan. £4 million could be halved and it would still be an optimistic price for him. Imagine if we had £4M to spend now! You could get 6 players easily that would almost guarantee promotion. ... New GK = £750k 2 LW = £750k each (£1.5m) 1 RW = 750k 1 Midfielder = 750k 1 Striker = 750k and a big AND New high frequency tolerant concrete = 250k which = Showaddywaddy
NFFC Chris Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 Are Brum going to walk that league or what? There will be riots in Birmingham if they don't go up that's for sure!Far too much money spent there.Good business for Coventry though, could the playoffs await them?
Knighton Matt Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 How many times have you mentioned\typed Micky Adams!!! I think that's the joke Singh He always refers to himself in the third person and he overuses the term 'football club' to the nth degree.
Shum Posted 16 August 2006 Author Posted 16 August 2006 I think that's the joke Singh He always refers to himself in the third person and he overuses the term 'football club' to the nth degree. Hehe "That was not a Micky Adams side out there. Micky Adams will be working hard on the training pitch to get this football club where it belongs." Etc..

Dr The Singh Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 I don't get it!!!! Thanks for info, I will never make the same mistake again Well illustrated Shum, it made all the difference!!!
Bert Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 I don't get it!!!! Micky Adams always used to speak in third person in interviews. Anyway, as i was going to say - If Cov can get £4m for McShefferey, we can get £6m for Fryatt.
Tommeh Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 MCCSSHEFREEYYY WOOOOO MCCSHHEFFREEYY WOOOO He's Better than Henry He's Left the Coventry. lovin it !!! If anybody sings it on friday nigth i know where i heard it first
covcityfc_dot_com Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 you guys have got some funny ideas about our club mcsheffrey wasnt our best playing IMO stern john has more talent in his little toe than mcsheffrey ever will its just we dont play to johns strengths, also on the handful of times ive seen him so far our new CB elliot ward is better relatively speaking than mcsheffrey we also arent fooked for cash and dont owe a lot to creditors, we are in debt as most clubs are outside the top 6 in prem, but we are perfectly stable at the moment, and most of our debt is owed to the chairman and directors as i said somewhere else on here today, chances are we wont splash the cash before friday, so you'll be lucky another lucky thing for us is that ive heard mickeh adams doesnt let mickeh adams make transfers on his own and a lot of it is down to our assistant adrian heath, otherwise we'd end up with a load of crocks like you lot did
Thracian Posted 16 August 2006 Posted 16 August 2006 How much does that make Matty Fryatt worth? His scoring rate is not so good but he's younger? I'd still say about £2m plus extras but others may think differently.

Fryatt is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers outside of the premiership and his actual value is probably in between £1-2 million, but if he gets back to scoring goals like he often does and we do fairly well then his value would be about £3 million by January.

If he had started this season with a bang, we could've easily gotten between £3 and £4 mil on a deadline day transfer if you compare it to the Connolly transfer last season.
