Chrysalis Posted 12 November 2006 Posted 12 November 2006 I have long felt STs are too cheap, a couple of seasons resulted in huge cuts which have never been recovered. Matchday tickets need to be cheaper and STs more expensive. Although I expect both could rise under milan which I think is a fair price to pay for more team investment.
davieG Posted 12 November 2006 Author Posted 12 November 2006 refusing to speculate works both ways of course, you are speculating they intiated the contact. That was might point
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 November 2006 Posted 12 November 2006 David Wilson, property developer who is worth hundreds of millions of pounds, is leading the bidding group from the midlands as far as my sources know. He's worth a net 400 million (roughly) I find this hard to believe, he's had plenty of opportunities to put money into the club and not taken them. I've been reliable informed he has no desire to buy this club. He already has largish shares in the club and has done since we came out of administration, you would of thought he would of bought the club then if he was interested. He's also a old man, he's in the process in passing his business down to his sons. I don't see why he would want this at this time in his life seeing as he has never wanted it previously. Sounds like bollocks from the rumour mill to me. However people change you never know. Where did you hear it? If this is true he should be able to table a bid that will piss all over Manadaric's fiancially, and being a Leicestershire he would recieve less cynicism from the Ultras of this world.
teblin Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 I can't see them saying no. As they are going to anouce it on saturday before the game (tell me if thats not the case) There would be uproar if they had rejected the bid. FInger crossed.

Ric Flair Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 The two options that have been stated, there's only one winner surely here. The board have already said that they have been seeking 'outside' investment to take this club forward as they've taken us as far as they can. So asking our shareholders to double their outlay isn't 'outside' investment and surely this avenue has been pursued before, I mean we've been seriously struggling for money for a few years now. Unless another serious consortium come in with a bid, then I think the shareholders will find it hard not to accept Mandaric's offer. The fact they can get their money back, will be a massive factor for some of them. Reason being if they weren't bothered about getting their money back then why has their been a song and dance about Milan's 'derisory' first offer for the shares.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 Milan is third from the right in the back row. That suit has to be reason enough to throw your full support behind him. Oh and presumably that is the Birch as well, sitting down.
Master Fox Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 That suit is pretty smooth. Is Birtch in the No.16 shirt with the really cheesy smile...??

There is another option, they do absolutely bugger all, stating that MM's bid was full of holes and they were unable to accept it with no mention of raising any further cash themselves.
