Milan Mandaric has targeted leicester!

Sorry, I missed this repsonse! My point is that until its signed and sealed, MM isnt in a position to arrange any deals. He may put some feelers out and I`m sure has had conversations about possible players with RK but the deal isnt signed so its no different to you or me going upto RK and saying we have £5m for him to spend. At this stage its hypothetical. My point is made more valid by the fact that RK has sold 3 players, one of whom he is quoted as saying he would like to have kept (COG) and said something along the lines of "everyone knows what finanical position we are in" and stuff like "we now MAY be able to bring in ONE on loan". That doesnt strike me as someone who is over confident on incoming finances, does it you???

Most of that is padding for example re COG it's not like he's going to say anything derogatory because there's no benefit to anyone. Re affording loans, yes sure we've only got a brass fathing but it's also a nice smoke screen when it comes to negotiating deals.

Just posted on Sky...

Milan Mandaric is expected to complete his takeover of Leicester this week but the former Portsmouth owner is unhappy it has taken so long, claiming he has already missed out on three transfer targets.

Mandaric made his official bid for The Foxes on 1st November but the takeover has been delayed and he is still awaiting the green light.

Last month the due diligence procedure unearthed considerable extra debts at The Walkers Stadium, forcing Mandaric to make a revised offer.

The club's shareholders have yet to approve his new proposal and Mandaric admits his frustration is growing as the transfer window draws towards a close.

He told the Leicester Mercury: "It is becoming a bit ridiculous now. In fact, I have lost three transfer targets I had an eye on who might have made a difference.

"January is going by and when I look at what needs to be done it is very frustrating.

"It has taken four months already. I could have bought London Bridge in that time."

Chairman Andrew Taylor insists there are just one or two minor details to be resolved before the deal can be completed.

"We have had all the information we require. There are just a couple of small, inconsequential issues to be sorted out," he explained.

"I felt that suggesting last week as the end of it was a bit unrealistic but we are very close now and the next few days should see the end of the process."

But we can afford a loan signing and thats all his deal is with Stoke http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...p;channel=& . I cant see that being a deal we missed out on

It's likely all Mandaric will allow us is loan signings until the summer. Plus, Kelly said we might now have enough for a loan signing. But is it enough to pay for a player from the premiership? So, even without MM's money, I doubt we could have afforded Griffin.

Who knows, it's all getting abit tiresome......all these remarks about missing signings etc will only put pressure on those holding up the deal!!!! <_<

I am.

But that doesn't have to prevent me from expressing my opinion, does it?

These days, we're involved in one of the biggest happenings in recent Leicester City history. I concur that a takeover must be completed on a thorough basis, with all loose ends tied together. All sides should get the most and best out of it.

However, when you look at the way some board members of this so-called professional football club are clinging on to their seats, when in fact, they should be more interested in and concerned about running the enterprise, then that's worrying me. The club is still in debts and I wonder why the people on the board have not been as proactive as others when it comes to financing since we've escaped that monster called administration. Now along comes one rich guy who - and that's my assumption - wants to do good (and I do know about the franchise rumours) and invest money, good money in this institution. From all the news that I've heard so far, the club has been rather reluctant in opening their books (a behaviour that is still making headlines at the current time) and reaching an agreement among its shareholders.

The whole process could've been completed way faster, if it hadn't been for some opposition. Again, nothing wrong with that. But the way the public has been misinformed and misled and the way the current owners are treating the club, that's laughable.

We're currently 9 points adrift of a relegation spot, with one more game in hand. We're approaching the 2/3 mark and we're not doing too good, result-wise spoken.

I do hope that the recent player sales and leaves do signify a start into a brighter era.

BUT... the whole back-and-forth business reminds me of a kindergarten game with neither side willing to let go of the rope. I can see the reasons behind that, but not only is it childish, it's also poison for the current state we're in.

Again: I've been patient for a long time already.

The clock's still ticking.

Which table are you looking at, reads better than the one in front of me.

Edited. Sorry. Completely forgot about Barnsley.

How could one forget Barnsley?

They're to be watched out for from now on...

I doubt Milan Madaric wanted to sign Joey Gudjonson some how, you'd think we'd missed out on Maradone the way some of you lot go on about him!

Do you really think it's all down to our club that we have had these delays, MM himself said in the press it was due to the Legal side of things. Why is everyone so quick to blame! The fact is we have no idea why there have been these recent hold-ups! I just hope its done quickly! Would like to see 4 loan signings come in, then total re-build in the summer.

Like I said in another thread, all these statements are doing is putting pressure on those stalling the process!!

Totally agree, i think whatever the deal, bringing MM's Millions in to the club is the right step forward but MM knows exactly what he's doing in the press - the shareholders will all be reading these articles and feeling the heat!

You know what? B*llox to it! I'm sick of bloody reading these takeover stories now.

I given up actually caring, we're sh*t, no players are coming, we're stuck with kelly. This season is another write off! If we stay up that's as good as we can hope for!

Cheer up buddy, it's all a game and MM definitely is the master of it, he will be in the helm by the end of the week, and then we'll see if MM is true to his word, and freshen up the team!!
