Master Fox Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 It would be nice to get a premiership club in the next round. I would like us to either get Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool at home. I would be happy as long as we don't get another championship club.

Master Fox Posted 21 September 2006 Author Posted 21 September 2006 Cardiff! No, we would lose for sure
Phube Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 Either Arse, Chelsea, Man U, Scouse or Villa at home. Anyone else away!!
Head Honcho Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 Surely the whole point of entering any knock-out competition is to get as far as possible before being knocked out! So why on earth would anyone choose to have a top Prem club as an opponent in round 3? If we get drawn against a lesser club every round and progress, it's inevitable that we'll meet the top teams eventually.
Head Honcho Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 No, we would lose for sure .........and the fact that they're out would make it difficult

But now you come to mention it....Mk Dons Away!!!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 16 Prem teams out of 32. 8 Championship sides not including us ( most of whom are good ) 4 League one. 3 League two.

Suffolk_fox Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 I want to keep away from all teams from Buckinghamshire-memories of Wycombe are far too vivid! Seconded there! Another fall from our lofty position would be a fall too far I think

hairy Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 I'd enjoy a trip to old trafford again. Haven't been for a while now
lcfc_jme Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 I'd rather we got a tie against League One or League Two side, as that'd give us the better chance of progressing through, earning us a little more cash. It'd also give us a chance of playing a better side later on, which in turn would increase revenue from it (wouldn't mind a Championship club, but I'd want to avoid Premiership teams until at least the next round)
Daggers Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 I don't expect us to win it, but if we can pull home ties against top teams then that'll do for me...anything to fill the ground and the bank account.

Then pulling a tie against a top Prem side in the Quarter-final stage (round 16 would do but I'd prefer it to be later) or after would do a better job of that wouldn't it? The further we get, the more money and better chance of meeting top sides etc...
Master Fox Posted 21 September 2006 Author Posted 21 September 2006 Do we know who we're playing yet?
