Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Probably Cesc Fabregas for me. You can't help but admire the way he plays the game. He's not blessed with extreme strength, pace or skill but he's fairly solid, keeps it simple, plays some really clever passes and rarely wastes the ball.
Finnegan Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Tomas Rosicky's probably my favourtie "non-Welsh" player ever. So it's got to be him! Bellamy, Savo and Simon Davies all come in a close joint second! By the end of the January transfer window, however, it's gunna be...
Daggers Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Joey Barton - to come through what he has been through and still play a decent game in an average team...he commands my respect for that.
Maybes Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 I like Robin Van Persie. Always rated him and liked his style of play, and he has a sweet as a nut left foot.
C-man Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Joey Barton - to come through what he has been through and still play a decent game in an average team...he commands my respect for that. He's a legend after today Thierry Henry or Fabregas, possibly Stevie G.
bigneville Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Joey Barton - to come through what he has been through and still play a decent game in an average team...he commands my respect for that. Is that because you like his arse????
Tommeh Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Gabriel Agbonlohour without a doubt Gerrard close 2nd
Maybes Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Gabriel Agbonlohour without a doubt Gerrard close 2nd His accent is far to annoying
Mark Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Sol Campbell at the moment, the only player thats been regularly scoring points for my fantasy football team But yeah, Fabregas is awesome. I remember watching and being amazed by his performance and debut I think for Arsenal in the Charity shield a couple of years ago, the best performance I've seen from a 16 year old.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 September 2006 Author Posted 30 September 2006 Fantasy league is evil, I've always hated Andy Johnson but now I have to want him to score cos he's in my team. It's difficult.
lildave3 Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 There's a lot i like but if I narrow it down to one it would be John Terry. Fave young player would have to be.....probably Micah Richards.
lcfc_jme Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 It'd have to be Cesc Fabregas, Super Stevie G or everybody's favourite entertainer Jimmy Bullard
lcfc_jme Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Gerrard - the man's just pure class. Where would you play him, on the wing or in the center of the park??
shen Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Henry... one of the most gifted players of all time.
lookwhaticando Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Where would you play him, on the wing or in the center of the park?? Centre - give him a free role, tell him not to worry about the defence. Gerrard + Hargreaves in the middle is what it's all about. Sorry Fat Frank, you don't fit no more.
Janx Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 campbell End of Discuss Fact..... the same reason as Mark! err or Jaskaleinnen...(sp)
lcfc_jme Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Centre - give him a free role, tell him not to worry about the defence. Gerrard + Hargreaves in the middle is what it's all about. Sorry Fat Frank, you don't fit no more. I'd like to see that for England, I reckon it'd work better than Frank + Hargreaves. Won't happen for a while though with Hargreaves injured and the gaff playing Gerrard on the right. I personally think Lampard is over-rated, but people believe his is better than the hype surrounding him.
SystonFox Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Gerrard first and foremost for the belters he scores in the most important games for Liverpool. and then Thierry Henry gets upmost respect for his goalscoring record and his style of play. he's also started to head the ball from set pieces grabbing a headed goal against Sheff UTD
Thracian Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Henry for now but Olle Gunnar Solksjaer if he get's back permanently. Defensively I like Gabriel Heinze cos he reminds me how people used to tackle. He's not phased by anyone or anything and supports the play with skill, effort and determination. If only we could get a left back like him at Leicester, and keep him fit.
