Things going well at Real, undefeated since I took over in about 25 league and cup games. BTW, UIve checked the history and I think Ive played about 6 or 7 seasons and Real have won something like 70% of the D1 titles (this is my first season). They finished 5th last season, 2nd the season before and won all the leagues before that so what was my target for the mighty Real Madrid???

Achieve a respectable position lol!!!

Everytime we beat some donkey side the board comes out and thanks me lol! :D

If anyone is after a goalkeeper i reccommend Shane Supple from Ipswich. Only 19 or so and is top quality, available for about 300K

Do you need to load the Scottish leagues for this though?

Im going to be playing this for the rest of the night. Im just inside the play offs with 18 games left, surely i can't slip up now.

Any other players you can reccommend, which are fairly cheap?

I'm having a funny old game atm.

Started as Hinckley, got them promoted and kept them up.

Got offered the England job (wtf :S)

Got England to the QF of the World Cup, battered the qualifying group.

Got offered the Covscum job. They were languishing in the relegation zone of League 1 at Christmas. Got them up via the playoffs in the same season.

Made it to the Champo playoffs first season of asking, lost to Bolton.

Won the Championship second season of asking.

Currently in the Prem, labouring away, in 19th position though.

Found a legendary little regen called Ryan McLeish in my first season at Coventry, I now have £15 million bids coming in. I may sell him soon and rebuild the squad.

Anthony Laffor? I signed him for 110K but he's played 2 games and is now in the reserves on the transfer list.

I won the title, cup and Euro Cup in my first season with Real Madrid and resigned, hoping that an Italian club would come in for me but Liverpool made a move and I accepted as they are my 2nd fav English team having supported them as a kid. Ive clocked up more air miles that Judith Chalmers! Woooooooo!

If you're not loading the SPL, you're an idiot. Low prices, over-rated players and thousands of British youngsters the gamer reckons have bountiful talent. All affordable to a Championship side with a low budget. Plus Shaun Maloney and often Derek Riordan are ALWAYS out of contract at the end of the year, Dean Shiels too. I've taken them to the Championship and the Premiership and have had them be star players for me on a free.

Nakamura, too, who'll boost your club sales. Whoever deals with Celtic's contracts is insane! Some other choice names:

Gary Kenneth - At one of the Dundees, loves the club so hard to get to sign but one of the best young deffenders in Britain (on the game.)

Willie Kinnibugh (sp?) - Can't remember, might be Motherwell? Seems to be decent on every game I play, again bags of potential.

Chris Smith - Fantastic keeper for about 90 grand, not Premiership quality at the start and you might need someone a tad stronger to support him when he's off form. But train him well and he'll be better than the likes of Supple. Better than Conrad!

Keigan Ayres - Hibs u19s. Bought for a League Two side last night on a game I'm playing for about 12k. He's fantastic, my scouts thing he's got enormous potential, I've only seen him in one game though so I can't say whether that's just randomly generated stats.

Patrick Clegg / Cregg (sp?) - Can't remember the team, but he's an Ireland u21 / u19. Midfielder who outshone Hughes / Williams and co by leagues for me.

That's just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. It's worth having a good look around the SPL, the Scottish and Irish sides and Youth International sides for decent players, seriously. Much cheaper than young English players but often just as good. It might be because the game over-rates them, but who cares at the end of the day? If they do the job, they do the job.

Oh, ps: Sign Joe Ledley. Next Ryan Giggs. :thumbup:

Scotland is indeed a goldmine for cheap starlets. I mentioned Ryan McLeish (regen, you won't find him in your game unfortunately) there for about £16k, got a full-back on a free who I sold for £6mil... it's almost as good as Scandinavia and South American countries like Chile.

Always sign:

Kenneth Stenild from Aab for about 80k. Best keeper on the game, Chelsea offered £8 million for him 2 seasons after I signed him for 80k

Daniel Galbraith bit more expensive from Man Utd but he has enoumous potential.

Carlos Vela and Carlos Javier Acuna are must buys as soon as you can afford them they will bang in goals galore.

Agree with the Carlos Vela call. I'm running two games at the moment, one at Real Betis where I had a board take over in my first season giving me about 60 odd million per summer to spend, haha. I got Vela after my first year for £13m from Arsenal and he's worth every penny. Expensive, but he's the most talented youngster I've ever found on the game, according to 20/20 scouts. Can't wait to see if he gets in Wenger's side next year to meet the hype. Pretty much any Mexican u21 / u19 international is worth a look at though if you're managing a top flight club - in real life they won the Fifa youth cup or whatever it's called a season or two back with some phenomenal youngsters. Vela was the top scorer.

Got a little boring though, I won La Liga and Champions League in my second season (Vela top scorer in the latter with about 11 / 12 goals.) So my other game's at Northwich Victoria, heh. I'm currently top of League Two and Thracian will be glad to know Alan Sheehan is my star left back / free kick taker :thumbup:

Well last night i decided to start creating a new database, complete with the Leicester squad from 2000. I was bored you see, could be quite good when i've finished though.
