Flexx Posted 5 April 2007 Posted 5 April 2007 Agreed. He is amazing for me. His stats shoot up. I've got 5 or 6 young amazing keepers though. I collect them. Yeah i've got him aswell, but he's out on loan to Millwall and they arn't even playing him. Basically my whole squad is full of young foreign imports and now i've got 1-2 million bids coming in for them.
The People's Hero Posted 5 April 2007 Posted 5 April 2007 Middlesborough bid £3.8 million for Stenild every week. I turn it down every week. He's on £4million release clause and they haven't picked up on it. Idiots.
Brainy Posted 5 April 2007 Posted 5 April 2007 I can't stand that. Wigan kept enquiring about Stearman and Kisnorbo. Everytime I gave them an answer, they wouldn't accept the fact that they weren't for sale and just kept bidding. It was so serious, Paul Jewell even started praising them after a good match. Oh well. Kisnorbo has now gone to WHU because he wouldn't accept my contract
potter3 Posted 5 April 2007 Posted 5 April 2007 What annoys me is when I've had a foreign for about 3 years, it comes to offering them a contract and they can't get a new work permit One of them played very game for his country and is worth several million <_< I just had a dent in my title hopes from a 5-1 thrashing from Middlesborough :pinch:
filbertway Posted 5 April 2007 Posted 5 April 2007 BOLLOCKS. I've just taken Northwich Victoria to League One and my star youngster's been snatched up by Everton. I turned down the seven figure number but my Chairman overrode the decision and took the dollar dollar bill! Any idea if there's a way round such heinous back-room treachery? No there is not I scouted about 7 players who would be premiership class after a few years but I lost them for silly amounts of money like £1-2 million.

You can offer them new contracts. If it happens again ask for about £50 mil and they normally withdraw their offer, or you get £50 million

potter3 Posted 5 April 2007 Posted 5 April 2007 This game too erratic, I lose to Middlesborough (who are 18th) 5-1, then I beat Man U 4-0!
Simi Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Not been on this game in ages now . Really should go back on. The weather is to good to sit inside and play it.
Finnegan Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Agreed. He is amazing for me. His stats shoot up. I've got 5 or 6 young amazing keepers though. I collect them. Aye, add Lee Boyle (Villa) and Chris Howarth (Bolton) to the list of Chris Smith, Stenlid and co'. Actually, Conrad Logan isn't so bad since the January patch. As for the £50m suggestions, I'll give it a go - 'cos I've got another two they're all trying to sign. The problem is, despite my asking price the game still has a "value" for them and clubs will still bid at that value. And if a club makes an audacious £4m bid for a player I've told them is worth £50m, by board's still going to accept. I'll try it though, thanks for that. I also had a stroke of genius moment. I've just been promoted, if I offer him a new contract surely he'll have that "Isn't interested, has just signed a new contract..." notes for the start of the season?
Stevosevic Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 has anyone got a link for the patch? or know what page of the thread it is on? cheers

City Fan Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Just started a new game with Leicester and have made a flying start to the season!
Brainy Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 Started with York City yesterday. My media prediction was 5th but I usually struggle with lower league teams, so I thought i'd take the season to settle in and get to know the players. I finished 14th or something like that. I found a few areas that needed improvement for the summer and brought in a couple of players Michael Proctor (free) Richard Graham (free) Michael Bostwick (free) I know you mightn't of heard of them but thats the kind of stuff you get with York. My media prediction this season was 10th and because I thought the squad were good enough to challenge for promotion, I won't really settle for anything lower than the play-offs (5th). Late November and the top five are seperated by 2 points. I'm 3rd and relatively happy.
JoeyB Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 Blackburn are the way forward Will post some more stuff 2moro evening
Simi Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 Currently on a 9 game unbeaten run which has taken me to the top of the Championship in my second season. Interestingly, Newcastle, Blackburn and Villa have all been relegated.
Flexx Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 Im just too good on this game. All you have to do is send a few scouts to scandinavia, sign a load of 5 star players for around 20K, make sure your training is at least 4 star in each category, sign eddie johnson then sell him for 3.9 million, get your capacity up to 42,000, upgrade youth facilities and your basically there

Increase capacity to 43'000, then win the premiership in 3 years and sign Cristiano Ronaldo. By then you will be bored shitless of the game and be free to pursure other interests
