Finnegan Posted 25 October 2006 Share Posted 25 October 2006 Normally the wave makes me cringe, but when it finally got pretty big during that injury break it was a fair thumbs up, actually. Took long enough to get geared up, mind, fookin' East Stand you boring bastards.

adam Posted 25 October 2006 Share Posted 25 October 2006 The mexican wave is rubbish. No need for it. Complete embarrassment. Theres no place for it in football unless were winning easily.
Louise Posted 25 October 2006 Share Posted 25 October 2006 Almost forgot! Douglas joining in with the wave from the bench was hilarious.

Sooper Steve's shin Posted 25 October 2006 Share Posted 25 October 2006 Martin refused to start the wave - got him his only boos of the night! Personally, I don't like it unless we're 5-0 up in a meaningful game with 2 mins left. How anyone can get it started at 2-2 in extra time, I don't know - clear egg-on-face potential there. Has any other club actually done the Mexican Wave on a regular basis since about 1988?!
Libertine Posted 25 October 2006 Share Posted 25 October 2006 We ALWAYS concede whilst doing the mexican wave. Except for last night. 'Tis good, but risky.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 October 2006 Share Posted 25 October 2006 Don't get me wrong, I'm not a massive fan of Mexican waves but I thought last night was a good night for it. Villa had turned up with their first team and over 4,000 supporters expecting a walk in the park and we turned it into a party for ourselves. lcfc_jme Posted 25 October 2006 Share Posted 25 October 2006 There was in E3! It was a bit quiet though. I heard something similar to it, combined with a couple of people saying " Lets go fooking mental! ".. Would have been great to get everyone at it but nobody took it on
