Joe. Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 We've had a mare of a year and the Ashes have come at the worst time possible. We're playing our worst cricket for a long time and are going to get slaughtered by the Aussies
Shum Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 We've had a mare of a year and the Ashes have come at the worst time possible. We're playing our worst cricket for a long time and are going to get slaughtered by the Aussies Monty in - you know it makes sense!
Bert Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Troy Cooley (Their bowling coach) was watching Harmy in the nets yesterday and said that he will be back to his best, causing the Aussies problems.
The People's Hero Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Simon Jones is a good bowler BUT he's just gone up in people's estimation since he hasn't been playing. It doesn't help that Anderson just doesn't have the quality or control for this level. Jones is good, but don't build him up too much, he's not world class. I beg to differ with whoever said Jones wouldn't swing it in Oz though, of course he would.

I beg to differ with whoever said Jones wouldn't swing it in Oz though, of course he would. He might not quite be world class, but he has a massive impact when we give him the ball. And its definitely handy to have a bowler in the side you know is probably going to pick up at least a wicket or two behind Harmison, Flintoff and Hoggard. Something you can't really say for Anderson or Mahmood.
Joe. Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Apparently Monty's coming in for Anderson so it's looking up
lildave3 Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Apparently Monty's coming in for Anderson so it's looking up Yeah i heard that, good decision.
Sparky Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Apparently Monty's coming in for Anderson so it's looking up great news , come on england
Nationwider Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Get in. The Ashes are ours!!! Mmwahahahaha!
marko Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Hopefully Monty plays but Fletch will find some $h!t excuse. We need to win the toss and bat, bat, bat. Get Glenn McGrath on that dodgy heel asap. Come on Fred and Co

Get Glenn McGrath on that dodgy heel asap. Come on Fred and Co Impossible. We're hit and miss with the bat. We think the batsmen have survived a shaky period, and they look comfortable, progress at a slow but steady rate, and then BAM!! From nowhere, two wickets fall and we're on the ropes, looking at a major collapse.
lcfc_jme Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OH MY WORD, ENGLAND HAVE NAMED AN UNCHANGED SIDE, SO NO MONTY PANESAR :@ FARMER IS THE ONLY SPINNER IN THE SQUAD!!! WE'RE ON FOR ANOTHER HAMMERING
Nationwider Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Giles and Anderson are going to have to take wickets in this game to justify their selection now. We really need to bat first and post 400. I'm going to bed now felling very I hope to awake tomorrow at 6.30 to watch the final hour with England 270-2, and feeling very
Milky Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 Excellent! At least we've won the toss. We have hope.
lcfc_jme Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 Excellent! At least we've won the toss. We have hope. Batting or bowling?? My SkySports Broadcast has cut off temporarily
Milky Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 Batting or bowling?? My SkySports Broadcast has cut off temporarily it's obvious ok i'll tell you. we're batting
Wils Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 Excellent! At least we've won the toss. We have hope. There's always hope. Isnt there?
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 Well we're batting first I suppouse that gives us a slight chance.
lcfc_jme Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 it's obvious ok i'll tell you. we're batting OK mate cheers I mean for the information and the sarcasm and everything.
Milky Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 OK mate cheers I mean for the information and the sarcasm and everything. no worries goon mate. it really was very obvious though.
lcfc_jme Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 no worries goon mate. it really was very obvious though. Yeah looking back I realise that OK. Don't need it drumming in to me. But then I suppose that's what idiotsfriends are for ey? I can see us being 3 or 4 down before lunch in all honesty though.

We must not keep giving wickets away like strauss hooking the ****er in the air all the time.
lcfc_jme Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 ey? ey? depends if we made stupid silly errors again. We must not keep giving wickets away like strauss hooking the ****er in the air all the time. Yeah Strauss makes the decision to hook at the wrong time and always gets out to it. Flintoff gets a rush of blood constantly and departs cheaply, and KP is completely inconsistent, never know whether he's going to be brilliant or a major let-down. If the Aussies get their tales up early on (removing two of the top 3 before we reach 50), we're going to struggle an awful lot with the bat. If we get to lunch losing only 1 wicket I'll consider it a success
