Dr The Singh Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 I feel so let down, the batting again has been attrocious!!! It was supposed to be a bating pitch and they let warne get the better of them!!!
Milky Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 that's well and truely pissed on my birthday bonfire
Bert Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 I knew we'd lose, i just knew it. I said at pub to my mate last night that we would. If we win the series now i will chop my nob off.
Shum Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 MONTY! Thing is, if they play him now which they should - he will be under immense pressure to perform and I can see him having an average game and then getting dropped for the 4th test. I think Englands selection policy in general has been poor.
The People's Hero Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Thing is, if they play him now which they should - he will be under immense pressure to perform and I can see him having an average game and then getting dropped for the 4th test. I think Englands selection policy in general has been poor. This is exactly what WILL happen if selected.
Milky Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 If we win the series now i will chop my nob off. can someone please use some legal mumbo jumbo to make this legally binding i also think you should cook it, perhaps bangers and mash?
Dr The Singh Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 can someone please use some legal mumbo jumbo to make this legally binding i also think you should cook it, perhaps bangers and mash? I was thinking COCKtail sausages!!!!!
Bert Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 I was thinking COCKtail sausages!!!!! It aint much bleedin' bigger :pinch:
Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 No team that had declared for 500+ runs in the first innings have gone on to lose the test.
lcfc_jme Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 fooking awful. tbh the only players undeserving of a loss in that test were Collingwood, KP and Hoggard. The rest of the players were embarrassing, and it wouldn't suprise me now if we went on to lose 4 or 5 zip.
Joe. Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 What a bunch of losers! All out for 129 is terrible. Cannot believe we lost that, could have definitely won it. Wait a minute, I can believe it, it's England.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 We need Vaughan back desperately. Flintoff is a poor leader. Another innings in this series where he gave his wicket away. Also, to echo the rants of many people, Monty Panesar must definitely replace Ashley Giles.
Nationwider Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Ashes to ashes, hopes to dust.... I cannot bring myself to watch the highlights again - it is too painful. I feel dirty, used and cheated. As a team, we batted like feckless idiots today, although I have a certain amount of sympathy for Collingwood, Pietersen and Flintoff (although his tactics today demand some scrutiny). Hoggy bowled really well too. The real villain is Duncan Fletcher. Let's just examine the series stats to date: AF Giles 3-262 @ 87.33 JM Anderson 2-303 @ 151.50 SJ Harmison 1-288 @ 288.00 GO Jones 4 inns 63 runs @ 15.75 Dunc - we need to take 20 wickets, and preferably not let Australia have 500+ in every first innings. I beg you to pick the following team for Perth in order to save further humiliation. Strauss, Joyce, Cook, Pietersen, Collingwood, Bell, Flintoff©, Broad, Read(+), Hoggard, Panesar. Of course, if Freddie's not fit, then that line-up, and England in general, are screwed.
marko Posted 13 December 2006 Posted 13 December 2006 Well it's time again ladies and gentlemen. I'm sure we'll managed to kop another hammerin. If 'nationwider' desired team play I WILL eat my own head!!! :w00t:
Nationwider Posted 14 December 2006 Posted 14 December 2006 Well it's time again ladies and gentlemen. I'm sure we'll managed to kop another hammerin. If 'nationwider' desired team play I WILL eat my own head!!! :w00t: Your head is safe Marko! My team was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. But England have done the right thing by getting rid of Giles and Anderson. Tea Day 1 - Australia 184-6, M.Panesar 16-2-69-3
James. Posted 14 December 2006 Posted 14 December 2006 Your head is safe Marko! My team was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. But England have done the right thing by getting rid of Giles and Anderson. Tea Day 1 - Australia 184-6, M.Panesar 16-2-69-3 why why why didn't monty play the first two tests!! he's now got 5 wickets for 90 runs on his ashes debut. shane warne's best ever at the waca is 4 for 83. absolutely colossal performance
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 December 2006 Posted 14 December 2006 A good start but after we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory (well a certain draw at least) in the last test I'm not getting too excited.
Daggers Posted 14 December 2006 Posted 14 December 2006 Can we re-do Sports Personality of the YEar...and give it to a real sportsman with personality?
Lord Nibblington Posted 14 December 2006 Posted 14 December 2006 A good start but after we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory (well a certain draw at least) in the last test I'm not getting too excited. I'm not either. Also remember the 1st day of the 1st test in the last series?
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 December 2006 Posted 14 December 2006 Can we re-do Sports Personality of the YEar...and give it to a real sportsman with personality? Is it just me who thinks elvis is reading the www.sporting-heroes.net writeing above him? Spooky.
Ric Flair Posted 14 December 2006 Posted 14 December 2006 The pressure on Monty's shoulders must have been fairly huge aswell, given the situation this shower now finds themselves in. Yet, he goes out and destroys the best spin bowlers figures at the Waca in his first ever day there! Sublime. Well done Fletcher you absolute cretin, high five Giles all the way back to the hotel. You've done well, have a tea and a scone to celebrate you fat ****.
