davieG Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Surgery blow for star 30-11-2006 11:26 Leicester City midfielder Andy Johnson is set to undergo surgery that could sideline him until Christmas. He is facing the op to repair ligament and bone damage in his foot. He is definitely out of Saturday's game against Sheffield Wednesday as are fellow midfielders Gareth Williams (ankle) and Darren Kenton (calf).Boss Rob Kelly is also sweating on the fitness of captain Paddy McCarthy ahead of Saturday's game. McCarthy, who limped out of the midweek game against Norwich, is receiving treatment on shoulder and knee injuries. Source

Thracian Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Hopefully NEXT Christmas. You can be so unkind.
Dr The Singh Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Damn, We could have done with AJ, to keep the bench warm for the other players!!!
Graz Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Not good that he's injured. As shit as he may be, we need players. With Williams still out as well and Weso unfit, it doesn't give us many options over a busy Christmas period..
Lord Nibblington Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Shame. Really. I mean it and everything.
davieG Posted 30 November 2006 Author Posted 30 November 2006 But hasn't our decline started since his departure during the match against Sheff Wednesday? We've only picked up 1 point since then!
Chimp Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 But hasn't our decline started since his departure during the match against Sheff Wednesday? We've only picked up 1 point since then! Yes, having no options for midfield is a big, big worry. I'd rather Weso and Williams get themselves fit before Johnson though.

Daggers Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 It's all this redoubling of efforts I tell you.
Simi Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Not good to lose antoher player even if it is Johnson. Hopefully Williams and Weso will be able to get fit and stay fit.
lookwhaticando Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Just a shame he still gets paid for doing fook all. Actually, wait a minute... even when he's wearing the shirt on match day, he does fook all. Why do we pay this bloke?
Joe. Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 I bet when he comes back, he'll single-handedly save our season, scoring tons of goals. I hate to say it but since he's been injured we've been on this terrible losing streak. p.s I am not sticking up for him. I don't like him as much as anyone on this forum

I don't like him as much as anyone on this forum He also didn't play in a sizeable portion of the games in our unbeaten streak either... you can make of stats whatever you want Either way, he's still shit.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 I know it's wrong to wish injury on players but... it worked!
Durnerz Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 He'll be back in the underpass now by the station "Any Change?" Nope, you're still shit
AyewJoking Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 I wonder if he is genuinely injured or as badly injured as the club say. I dont think I've spoken to a single City fan who thought he should be in the team. RK seems to love the bloke. Perhaps he was persuaded to drop Johnson under increasing pressure and being out injured saves Johnson the embarassment. Just a conspiracy theory.
