Simi Posted 1 January 2007 Posted 1 January 2007 Baffles the crap outta me too. Couldn't believe it. He can't be anywhere near proper match fitness - he's not played much at all for months! I don't even remember if he's played any part in any of the recent (haha!) closed-door games or not! That actually pisses me off a little. I got nothing against Kenton, but it was dreadfully silly to throw him in like that when we have fully fit options available. I mean Maybury fell out of favour for a while, but he's had plenty of games recently. Why not use him? It's not as if Johansson is unfit either. Why he was dropped too baffles me. There'd better be news of injuries to these or I'll be very disappointed in the manner this team was selected. Surely if Nils is unfit he would take an unfit left back over an unfit right back to play at left back! And even Alan Sheean wherever he is surely he could find it in him to play 90 mins. When you have the option to play your players in the right position why do the opposite.
MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2007 Posted 1 January 2007 If this team is about to dissolve, then so be it. Fighting spirit? Engaging performance? Where, oh where have you gone?

Sheehan must be in a wheelchair or something if Kelly doesn't believe he would have done better than Kenton. Or is it just down to Chosen Men again?. Someone will doubtless have a logical explanation. I actually feel as sorry for Kenton as anyone else. He was left like a waterless traveller in the desert and an already struggling team was never going to save him from the heat.
Matt Posted 1 January 2007 Posted 1 January 2007 Rumuor has it!!! Has anyone else heard this? Why was he on the bench today??? Because Kelly though he'd annoy everyone and play O' Grady! Won't believe anything til I see a link (does no include transfer rumours.com!) - More shite on there than was on display at the walkers today. Really...looks like he was going with a majority vote to me http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=30691
AyewJoking Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Dont think Hume would quit the mighty Leicester for a few months of getting thrashed in the Prem only to end up back in this sh1thouse of a division.
lookwhaticando Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Really...looks like he was going with a majority vote to me http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=30691 So Kelly does pick his teams based on what he reads on FT! So which ****ing muppet told him to pick THAT XI?
lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 So Kelly does pick his teams based on what he reads on FT! So which ****ing muppet told him to pick THAT XI? Kelly must have picked yesterdays team, infact yesterdays squad, when he was completely steaming drunk on New Years Eve/New Years Morning. There was no way a completely sober man would have picked that squad. Dropping McAuley? Bringing in Kenton and O'Grady? Leaving Nils, Hammond (I know now he was injured but I didn't before kick off ) and McAuley out of the squad after they've been 3 of our better performers recently? Awfully strange that is when there are no real problems defense wise and a couple of them lads hadn't played first team football in fooking ages. Not to mention a couple of them would have only been half/three quarters fit.

lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Elvis Hammond, one of our best 3 players in recent weeks. That's how bad we've become. Do you beg to differ? Somehow, I don't think you can argue with it - the fact of the matter is Elvis has been one of our best players over recent weeks, and has actually contributed with a couple of goals. Which recently is more than can be said for Hume and Fryatt is it not?

MC Prussian Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Correct Long like the king of rock n roll Well, he rolls. Not quite rocking at the moment, though.

davieG Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 From Sky Watford land Gers striker Adrian Boothroyd has made his first foray into the January transfer market by signing Moses Ashikodi from Rangers. Ashikodi has signed a two-and-a-half year contract at Watford after impressing Boothroyd during a recent trial. The Hornets have agreed to pay a nominal fee for the teenage striker, who joined Rangers 12 months ago from West Ham United. He made just one substitute appearance during his time at Ibrox and has not featured at all under Paul Le Guen. But he has been brought to Vicarage Road to bolster an attack currently shorn of the services of Marlon King and Hameur Bouazza. Ashikodi could make his debut for Watford in Saturday's FA Cup third round tie against Stockport County.

If they're serious about staying in this division they will send Darius Henderson packing and sign someone who actually has some sort of proven goal scoreing record. Moses Ashikodi is not what they need.

Leicester Lass Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Could find a big stick? I hear MDV has one of those
DaveyJ Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Hume'd be sh*t in the prem. He's not really doing that great here, although with better service I'm sure he'd be scoring more. But in the Prem against far better defences he would be lost imo.
Guest big chris at the back of g2 Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 if hume leaves will have no fight in the team he is the only one wid his heart in the game apart from tiatto
Geo V Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Hume looked set for Sheff Weds earlier in the season when he couldnt hit a cows ar$e with a banjo. Im not sure all this squad rotation thing is working for us although loads I suppose have been enforced. BTW, when is Craig levein coming down to buy the turds like De Vries and Rab C Nesbitt FFS??:?
DB11 Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 He probably is. Reminds me of when Wigan took Connolly (our best striker leaves and we are in deep crap, takes us ages to find another half decent one..... you know the rest)
Eastern Fox Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Watford won't want him now, if they ever did. They've just bought a lower league striker, from Rotherham, BBC: Watford sign Hoskins.
Mort Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 I sold Hume to Watford the other day on Fifa Manager, twas my first January window and somhow (with my 2.5mil transfur budget in the summer ) but they where offering £500k so it seemed like good buissness and i was fairly happy with my strike force... not that this has any bearing on reality you understand
