Asha Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Boyle and Howard both brilliant tonight. Thought both guests, along with Parsons, were shit.
lildave3 Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 Kept wishing the American guy would just shut up. Me too. He annoyed me.
Corky Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 Kept wishing the American guy would just shut up. Yes, though Rhod Gilbert was alright.
lcfc_jme Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 Have applied for tickets to go and see a show this series. Not heard anything yet so doesn't look like happening. Still quality in my opinion, would much rather watch this than Big Brother or any other no-mark reality TV show.
Ultra Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 Hope they get David Mitchell on soon. Yeah, he's been on it before and was quality.
stez Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 if you don't like fair trade coffee, you are a racist loved that bit......i always feel a pang of guilt every time i go for the cheaper asda own brand
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 It wasn't great, thought Boyle was good though, and I like Rhod Gilbert. Don't know where to put this, so I'll whack it in here, Lee Mack tickets for Feb next year, ordered. Miles away but he's the one British stand up I really want to see but never have.
Asha Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Why doesn't Frankie go up for the stand up thing anymore? Apart from Russell, the rest were terrible at that.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Thought tonight's was the best of the series so far. Greg Davies is always a decent guest, and if they have a woman on there, at least when it's Lucy Porter I don't want to gauge my eyes out and slice my ears off.*Take note Yashere and Caulfield*

He was great.
lildave3 Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Why doesn't Frankie go up for the stand up thing anymore?Apart from Russell, the rest were terrible at that. Probably ran out of shocking things to say.

I thought Greg Davies' was good at that round. Thought tonight's was the best of the series so far. Babylon Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Yashere.... spit spit spit, don't dirty my eyeballs by writing that name.
The Doctor Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Brilliant last night especially from Frankie. personally i thought that FB wasn't as funny as last series after first 2 shows. he was much better last night though. starting to get fed up of AP and HD doesn't seem to be remotely funny anymore. first time they've had two decent guests this series though.
Ultra Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Frankie's been a bit hit-and-miss this series. But he's playing in Leicester on 6 May next year.

Libertine Posted 9 August 2009 Author Posted 9 August 2009 He's not that good live. 75% of the show is just stuff you've heard before.
morris1234 Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Hugh is boring me now aswell, he just does the shawodywody and car insurance jokes! AP does that weird walk thing like hes some sort of villain from scooby doo and i cant stand gina yashiray (spelling) not funny in the slightest just talks about being black, how she is from nigeria and black, how her mum is nigerian and black. not funny! however russel howard and frankie boyle make the show worth watching, very clever. oh and apart from his weird little thing he does after every joke (eeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) dara o'brien is a brilliant host! id like to see more of rhod gilbert and mark watson, both very funny! i quite like it when michael mcintyre is on and that other irish one (forget the name, did the phones 4 u voice). great watch though if you havent seen it!
Asha Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 He's not that good live. 75% of the show is just stuff you've heard before. And what percentage of stuff at a music gig have you heard before?
Libertine Posted 9 August 2009 Author Posted 9 August 2009 And what percentage of stuff at a music gig have you heard before? Not really a fair comparison. Music is way better live, whereas you want new laughs at a comedy gig.
