Three loan signings and some money in for an underperforming player. Two 22-year-olds and one old timer...

I can't see how we'll be much worse off - except for being concerned about who these guys will keep out if they do not represent a genuine improvement.

We might have missed Williams skills if he'd shown any signs of using them with any effect, but he hasn't really.

So, presumably, we've got a bit of money in the bank, potentially a bit more to come, have not really lost an asset because his contract was ending anyway and have two players who might improve, plus one other for, I imagine, about the same wages as Williams was on just by himself.

I just hope we've not bought three duffers.

If they really are duffers, we've not actually 'bought' them, and as I understand, most loans can be terminated by the club for which the player is playing without penalty pretty much whenever.

Difficult to see a downside, really.

These are the replies so far on the Cardiff forum:

hasnt had much of a chance here to be honest mate. Dave jones is fairly tough too, if you dont cut it your out basically

hes a fast guy tho is glombard, may do wonders for you, good luck to him

depends entirely on where he gets played, if its a as a striker he is worse than Andy Campbell with broken legs, as a winger though he is a lot more effective.

I like Glombard, he was very highly rated at Nantes I don't know where it all went wrong.

I should think him being shipped out has something to do with Petter Whittingham. Seven appernaces his hardly giving him time to settle into England and the Championship. Very intresting signing.

Hopefully he will have bags of pace which you desperately need in the league we are in. 3 signings bloomin' heck what going on?? :o

They say he is an awful striker but a decent winger

Horsfield can be reliable for grabbing the goals!!!

Not for the last few years!

New start, new horse :P:thumbup:, I bet he gets at least 10 goals this season for us. As long as kelly actually plays him and doesn't just give him 10 minute sub appearances.

I'd say it was more the service that's the problem than the strikers themselves. I still think fryatt and hume can put it away, but they really do have to feed on scraps.

Scored the goal that kept West Brom up a couple of seasons ago..... maybe he'll have to do the same for us

Trouble is he's far from fit and we have no means of getting him fit either.

He doesnt need to be fit, old school goal hanging for the horse.

Yeah but we've had Low and Sylla ...!

At least he hasn't got anything to live up to.

That record doesn't sit pretty. Like you said last time he hit ten was 01-02, after 40 games :o I've never rated him.
