Flynny Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 Three loan signings and some money in for an underperforming player. Two 22-year-olds and one old timer... I can't see how we'll be much worse off - except for being concerned about who these guys will keep out if they do not represent a genuine improvement. We might have missed Williams skills if he'd shown any signs of using them with any effect, but he hasn't really. So, presumably, we've got a bit of money in the bank, potentially a bit more to come, have not really lost an asset because his contract was ending anyway and have two players who might improve, plus one other for, I imagine, about the same wages as Williams was on just by himself. I just hope we've not bought three duffers. If they really are duffers, we've not actually 'bought' them, and as I understand, most loans can be terminated by the club for which the player is playing without penalty pretty much whenever. Difficult to see a downside, really.
Joe. Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 These are the replies so far on the Cardiff forum: hasnt had much of a chance here to be honest mate. Dave jones is fairly tough too, if you dont cut it your out basicallyhes a fast guy tho is glombard, may do wonders for you, good luck to him depends entirely on where he gets played, if its a as a striker he is worse than Andy Campbell with broken legs, as a winger though he is a lot more effective. Simon Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 Pity we can't manage a striker that is known for scoring some bloody goals. But we have the Horse
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 I like Glombard, he was very highly rated at Nantes I don't know where it all went wrong. I should think him being shipped out has something to do with Petter Whittingham. Seven appernaces his hardly giving him time to settle into England and the Championship. Very intresting signing. filbertway Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 Not for the last few years! New start, new horse , I bet he gets at least 10 goals this season for us. As long as kelly actually plays him and doesn't just give him 10 minute sub appearances.

Milky Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 Not for the last few years! I'd say it was more the service that's the problem than the strikers themselves. I still think fryatt and hume can put it away, but they really do have to feed on scraps.
