Views On Season Ticket pricing

Recommended Posts

Milan Keen to Listen

Milan Mandaric would like to hear your views on Season Ticket pricing as the club look to sustain an aggressive push for promotion next season.

Milan said: "I stated when I arrived at this football club that I want it to be in the Premiership within three years. I would view anything else as a failure.

"I will make significant funds available to the manager to improve the squad.

"I have been impressed by the phenomenal support you have given the team and wish to hear your views on season ticket pricing for next season.

"For the current season our prices have been lower than most of our rivals, which is shown in the graph below.

"I am planning to put season tickets on sale before the end of April and therefore I would like to hear your views on pricing by the end of March.

I have asked for:

* Better pricing structure for young adults

* A Student season ticket

* Rob Kelly to be sacked

* My 10 % discount to be given back

* The club to commit itself to the reintroduction of standing sections

* An interest-free instalment payment option

:)

I wrote something like why would we buy a season ticket let alone pay more for one if Rob Kelly is still in charge.

Why does Milan think we will pay for season tickets in April when it is likely that Kelly will still be in charge and we have the same playing squad?

Give a little, get a little Milan.

My email:

Hello

I've only had an ST for 3 years and really haven't seen much quality soccer. I'm thinking about not having a ticket next season not on cost but on lack of quality on the pitch.

I'd like the pricing to be less of a steep rise to move for example from P3 to A1. The corners of the ground rarely fill up.

I come from well outside of Leicester and it would be nice if the club would set up a far-away-foxes area in addition to other areas eg for singing. The second half move your seat scheme last season was a bargain as we got to sit in the West Stand for no extra cost (and the footie improved)

The 6 pack idea was novel but I'd like to see the ST holders get the best value for money for the home games (eg kids for a quid does make one wonder whether to renew a 14 year olds ticket for example)

How about throwing in the first home Carling Cup and FA cup ties tickets for ST holders? These matches are often either poorly attended or just after Christmas. If the club gets drawn away and knocked out then tough. if they are at home or win away then the ST holder gets to go to one additional game.

I'd like to also hear a little more as to how mascots and players escorts are selected. The rules were changed last season and maybe ST holding kids should have more chance of success than 'members'

On the field I'd look to restructure not only the team but also the wage structure with bonuses for playing, wins, assists, goals and clean sheets as this may motivate the players.

And please reinstate the reserve team. How can players play together when they've not had the chance to gel (basically the loanees vs QPR really did not seem to know each other)

And appoint Thracian as manager

Did Milan really say "...as shown in the graph below"? Was he holding a graph at the time? It's only a minor irritation, but what is the point of claiming it's a quote when it's not. What do they take us for?

In any case, the graph seems to show to me that despite being the 17th best team in the league (or wherever we finally achieve), we have the eleventh highest average ST price! Admittedly the graph only seems to be based on a 17-team league as far as I can tell.

I thought about asking for more free student tickets and discount on beer at half-time :P

Hang on...there are only 10 teams with higher season ticket prices than us according to the graph,as there are 24 teams in the Championship (well there was last time I counted) that makes our ST prices above average already surely? :dunno:

Well they can't really do that until the Government allows standing sections again can they?

Edited by davieG, Manwell was feeling too lazy to do it, I'm not sure why because he never seems to be working.

Shouldn't that read Government?

No it's still wrong Davie, the Government do allow standing sections just not in the Premier League.

Change it again :whistle::D

Or the Championship, within certain guidelines, either way it's still the Governments decision.

So, now we've all finished debating ... :P ...

I think the club should commit itself to the idea of re-introducing standing sections.

I think the Trust should also publicly commit itself to the issue of re-introducing standing sections.

I understand the legal aspect to actually placing terracing back into stadia, that wasn't the point I was making...I would like our club to lobby on our behalf for the right of all teams to erect terracing again with a view to improving the matchday atmosphere and experience for a large number of supporters.

I like this. This is what I will ask for myself (provided I'm welcome in the stadium by then lol!). I don't expect much, if any of it, to be listened to, but it's worth a shot. :)

How about an Exiles deal?

I know people including myself go to as many games as possible in a season, which includes the full price away games. However, every time I have to pay the full price which is fair enough if I only went to about 5 games a season, but it's a lot more. I cant get a season ticket as i know, being a student in London, there are games I just cannot make. Why not have some kind of exile deal where if you attend a certain amount of games, e.g. 7, (preventing any old person benefitting from this) thereafter you pay the average price of a season ticket per game?

Kind of a complicated idea and i've not emailed it as a suggestion but I think it would be nice for those not able to attend EVERY match to receive some form of loyalty appreciation.

Example... I have probably been to 12 home games and 4 away games this season so far, for every home game i'll pay Xpounds more than an average game for a ST holder, over 12 games (and on the side away games) there's a lot of money difference, even though i'm travelling 100miles for a home game. I don't mind so much if it's not EVERY weekend, but I think it would encourage those not in leicester who a few times a season think, "well i've got the weekend off i'll travel to Leicester" only to find a 24pound ticket to watch park football.
