Derby Fan Here...

Our only chance to get anything from this game is to link arms in a circle and spend the whole 90 mins passing it from one another in our own half.

Knowing kelly for his attacking ways this might just be his next plan.

Derby will score within 10 mins and go on to win by 3 clear goals.

doubt we could beat torquay at the moment.

Come On, lads!! We usually raise our game for the big boys and our local rivals. If City don't concede early in the game, it will be a close call!!!! And no, I haven't been on the beers this morning!!!

If we do win it could send them back down to the play-off positions aswell as putting us pretty much safe, so Kelly can leave on a high, Milan can get a new guy in for the last few games so he can see what we've got and maybe run out a few of the youngsters.

If Derby score an early goal I can really see no way back. Then it could turn into a rout :(:frusty:

Also scores some amazing goals!

Anyone seen the volley at Cardiff?

I was there, it was irritatingly good and also can be clearly marked as the moment Cardiff's season went wrong and Derby's started going right, I'd say. My prediction for Friday is a horrific 0-0 first half, followed by 3 goals for Derby and a consolation goal for us :(

Look how far weve dropped since we tanned them 4-0 at there gaff!

was it a ian marshall hattrick that day?

Your thinking of the 4-2 win at Filbert St when Marshall scored his hat-trick. At their place when we won 4-0 was a Heskey brace, a Marshall header and an Izzet header.

Think your site went down last night, that's why I didn't reply or anything!

Ours always seems to do that :@

As for what I know about Davies rift with the board, the story goes as this.

Davies comes in.

Brings all of the staff from Preston.

Apart from assistant David "Ned" Kelly.

Kelly gets placed on "gardening leave" by Preston.

We want him but we don't get a deal with Preston.

They want compensation but we don't want to pay anythign because he isn't being used by them.

So we start and continue the season without an assistant manager.

Come January time Davies still wants Kelly but once again we can't reach an agreement with Preston.

Davies becomes frustrated with the board because they're not willing to pay the £250,000 that Preston want for him.

And basically it has all escalted from there.

Or so the story goes.

There are other things that have been mentioned but this seems to be the more likely reason.

Hope all is resolved by the summer because if it's not then I can see Davies walking.

There is also a suggestion that if Davies does get us promoted then he will tick that box off on his CV and walk... possibly all the way to Manchester City.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit BUT Kelly's contract with Preston is up in the summer so it is likely that we will get him then.

Will have to wait and see.

I actually don't feel to bad about this one, McAuleys back and the Sheep never beat us at home. No Steve Horward for them, I think we may scrape a point if we're lucky.

I don't know if it is the sunny weather - but I am considering turning up to watch it, with the little'uns. Must be the sun.

Am I a bad fan for hoping we get absolutely tanked and Kelly get's the sack on the pitch in front of all the angry Leicester fans?

Nah, can understand why, but i live and work in derby so would rather beat derby.

But win 2 more games get safe, and then sack him at the end of the season.

Big plus for us that Howards out for them. He's been quality this season.

Yeah he has but we didn't struggle at all against Barnsley, although they were VERY poor.

If you're anything like them then I doubt that we'll have too much trouble of beating you.

Although teams do have to raise there game against the bigger clubs.

Hopefully, you'll just be another Barnsley.

We are VERY poor at the minute. In the last 6 games, current form reads you lot second in the league, and we're 23rd. I think that says it all to be honest. We may well be getting a spanking on Friday.

Believe me, you won't get a spanking.

We've only killed off Colchester (5-1).

We tend to grind the results out so when we score, don't expect much more from us upfront, maybe the break away goal.

If we win, I'm expecting to come on here and read... "but we were all over them for 80+ minutes."

We look shaky at the back though. When we concede, we tend to capitulate and give up, meaning there's little/no chance of us getting back into it. I'd expect you to beat us comfortably, by at least 2 goals - even without Steve Howard. I know form doesn't matter when it's a local derby, but really, it will do. We're extremely low on confidence and have forgotten how to win. Completely the opposite for your lot.

Oh, and as for "we were all over them for 80+ minutes", I can tell you don't read this forum much. I can't remember us getting to say that about many, if any, games this season! lol!!

Its simple -- Derby will produce a good all-round solid performance and get a 2-0 win. We will look dire as always.
