apart from the obvious i have a strange hatred for Norwich. There really is something in water around them parts. Would anyone really miss Norwich if they wernt there ? They are just a nothing club and yet they have the cheek to base themselves miles away from anyone else !!

I have long campaigned to have Suffolk and Norfolk cut off from England and given a great big push so they float off toward Europe. I am giving consideration to including Lincolnshire in that as well.

I am sure that all three counties produce sausages and nothing else - and I hate sausages.

I like sausages.

But I think it's a fair idea. A worthwhile sacrifice.

We'd save Wils though and rehouse him on the civilised 'mainland' though of course.

ps we're not jettisoning Kent are we?

Sorry, just a couple of points.

Boston won the confernce a few years back which last time I checked means promotion to the football league, they've also not been relegated since, so why exactly shouldn't they be in the football league.

Why exactly do Fulham fans support Chelsea.

And Forests glory years were in the late 77-78, 78-79, 79-80.

It would be tough going getting Suffolk & Norfolk to float off to Europe but Lancashire I'd say that was impossible, you'd either have to take Yorshire with you or go for a long trip around Scotland, is it really worth I ask you?

Definitely not.

I wouldn't accept those terms.

Besides, I like sausages.

And Yorkshire. :dunno:

Just not Leeds. ^_^

I hate Norwich as much as the next person on the basis i went there once with Blackpool in a league Cup game and came back with a £500 fine, but saying that if it weren't there nor would be Colemans and that would be a disaster as i don't think i could eat a roast dinner without they're tastey compliments.

Reading - Overrated. Prefer playing computer games or listening to music.

Best of the bunch ;)

Lancashire can just be used as a refuse dump.

Lancashire > Yorkshire. Yorkshire is the arsehole of the world. I'd sleep that little bit happier in my jim jams at nighty night were Yorkshire burnt to cinders.

Rangers - Loyalist pricks. Smelly lowlives who cling to royal ties despite the fact that most English hate them.

Chelsea - Like Rangers, except actually English. Mostly. Like to pretend they're from wealthy areas but clearly can't afford a good dentist (or tattooist for that matter).

Southampton - Fat, mouthy fans. Only thing they can be proud of atm is the picturesque scene in Titanic when the ship leaves the harbour.

West Ham - Anything from East London should be shot. First I ever heard of them was when their fans killed that police dog.

Millwall - Like West Ham, but probably a bit more inbreeding.

Arsenal - South London gypsies.

Crystal Palace - Like to pretend they're an honest, working class team. But they're just as filthy as other Londoners.

Newcastle - Scots with their brains kicked out.

West Brom - Clearly the lesser species in the WBA-Wolves derby.

Ipswich - Not only is the team mediocre, so are the fans. It's hard to hate them cos they just sit there like a piece of furniture

Teams I don't mind but probably should:

Cardiff - Gotta love the Welsh. They are well ard.

Leeds - We're quite friendly with the Leeds supporters club over here. Good lot of blokes.

Tottenham - See Leeds. That and the fact they're one of only a few London teams who aren't inbred.

Wolves - Bloke who got me interested in Championship football was a Wolves man.

Man Utd - Keano. Fans aren't too bad.

Aston Villa - Fans are well ard. Flying the flag for the midlands atm.

Liverpool - Fans gather at the same venue as Celtic fans in Melbourne. Fun to sing 'you'll never walk alone' together across the pub.

While my Old Firm preference is green, and while I can't say that politics hasn't had an influence on that decision, I think it's sad that either club's reputation should be damaged by the MINORITY of sectarian supporters that drag them down. I know a fair few Rangers fans and they're all pretty sound, Scottish guys. It disappoints me to see Scots dragged into Northern Ireland and it disappoints me even more to see Scots football dragged in, too. But what sickens me (and I'm sorry to say this, because you seem to be a fairly decent lad, Dan) is someone from some million odd miles away getting on board with the hatred for a SCOTTISH football club because someone about thirty odd generations back in his ancestry might have come from Ireland?

1. The loyalist, hard-line, sectarian unionists in the Rangers support are a minority.

2. A majority of Rangers and Celtic fans are Scottish, and proud.

3. As far as I'm aware, "most of the English" don't hate Rangers.

Arsenal - South London gypsies.

Arsenal's a North London club.

Crystal Palace - Like to pretend they're an honest, working class team. But they're just as filthy as other Londoners.

I've never known Palace to have a reputation as a working class establishment, I usually look East (or North) for that in London. Moreover, I live in London and consider myself (as do plenty of the Irish community I'm mates with down here) a bit of a Londoner myself. Besides, isn't mocking Palace for being NOT working class and then branding us all "filthy" (presumably in some snobbish context?) slightly ironic?

Only thing they can be proud of atm is the picturesque scene in Titanic when the ship leaves the harbour.

You mean the ship the Irish built?

oh & if there's one set of hardline fans / football firm I DO hate - it's probably the fooking Shrewsbury EBF. Bunch of dickheads.

Most Rangers fans I've met have been decent folk, like you say. I recently sat next to one at one of our club dinners (where I had haggis for the first time, top stuff!), and he was a top bloke and mates with our president  Agree that they are mostly Scottish, and proud.

Nevertheless there is a culture to the club I don't agree with. I don't think 'sectarianism' is the right word to describe this - it's a stupid word overused by the PC-brigade in the Scottish media. I'm a Church of Englander - same as the Rangers bloke who was at our dinner. Couldn't give a toss about religion, it's definitely political.

Fans of the Old Firm decide for themselves how deep they want to involve themselves in the clubs' cultures. For some, that's too far into it (violence wise) and for others it could be a passing interest in the football. Everyone else is in between. I sing Boys of the Old Brigade and Men Behind the Wire along with most others in our supporters club - don't know about all of them but I see it as a celebration of cultural heritage. As long as opposing fans aren't kicking each others' teeth, I couldn't care less about Gers doing their Red Hand salute or singing Billy Boys, as long as they're not disrespecting me or getting in my face.

You obviously aren't aware of the strong cultural identities in Australia that some people have (considering we don't have a 'history' of our own per se) and many Celtic / Rangers fans are 2nd / 3rd gen Australians or whatever and still are brought up with the culture of the clubs.

Arsenal's a North London club.

If you know Arsenal's history you'll know they used to be a South London club, hence why I used the term 'gypsy.'

Besides, isn't mocking Palace for being NOT working class and then branding us all "filthy" (presumably in some snobbish context?) slightly ironic?

No.

Smart arse.
