The Stig Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 If this could be merged with the confident thread it would be good but I just want to see how its divided on this thread in terms of a vote. ARE WE GOING DOWN, YES OR NO??
Ric Flair Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 If things stay the same management wise then YES. I have a feeling that Mandaric could be tempted to coach and manage them himself for the last few games.
Master Fox Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 Yeah, the time has come. The warning signs are there for everyone to see. We are going down.
Phlashman Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 No, don't be stupid. We'll get a result befoer the end of the season.
Ric Flair Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 Yeah, the time has come. The warning signs are there for everyone to see.We are going down. It's true. We've rode our luck for 2 seasons before this and each time we got even luckier. The luck has ran out. The ex-board have achieved what they wanted to do all along. Little Milan Riding Hood couldn't save us in time.
Tommeh Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 I dont see why not. Teams around us are picking up points, e.g. Leeds, QPR Burnley, Hull etc. Were in freefall, no one looks as if they could give a shit, A point against Derby is seen as some miracle result..The day before Burnley win at St Andrews to go above us and clear of relegation. The coaching staff and players are probably under the impression they wont be here next season and feel it right to only show a slight bit of effore for the last 35 minutes in a east midlands derby on the tele! Relegation is now not unlikely but a huge possibility.
The Stig Posted 10 April 2007 Author Posted 10 April 2007 I just can't see the form improving, i can't see us getting a win.
Brainy Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 If we lose to Norwich on Saturday then I can seriously see us going down.
Ric Flair Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 We are surely the worst FORM team in the division aren't we? We're the new Burnley, they went 20 odd games without a win a while back.
Mort Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 I'd say it was 50/50 as to if we go down or not... I think we'll lose to Norwich so i wouldnt put any great hopes on that game, in the end its Barnsley or bust as far as I'm concerned. We're the new Burnley, they went 20 odd games without a win a while back. They had a strong start to the season to cushion the fall though
Joe. Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 The problem is teams below us are picking up points regularly where as we don't look like getting a point. I'm still confident though, so it's a no for me.

Milky Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 I only voted no because i so desperately don't want it to happen. I must admit though, i've already half prepared myself for the drop, in fact, i've almost come to accept our time is up. I'm just hoping big McAuley can tighten us up enough to get that result on sat.
MC Prussian Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 I feel disturbed. NO (at least I hope so, my logic goes in a different direction)!!
Daggers Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 If it up to us - YES, I can't see us getting another point this season. If others can play without any desire to remain in the Championship (like we are doing) then - No. But everyone else has spunk, they are all attacking the games to get three points. On balance, I fear we will. It will take three points and one spectacular effort to save us.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 Christ you lot are cheery aren't you. We'll stay up. Don't see Southend or Leeds doing enough to get another 6 points even if we are shit enough to not to get a single point between now and the end of the season (we will though)

Don't see Southend or Leeds doing enough to get another 6 points even if we are shit enough to not to get a single point between now and the end of the season (we will though) It only takes them 1 win and the confidence that 1 more will possibly see them about safe. That's the thing, even the teams like Leeds and Southend who are in a worse position than us, have much better morale in their camps. They have been down there all season and accept that only themselves can get out of it. I don't think our players have the stomach for it, for various reasons. Morale is at an all time low and we've rode our luck too many teams.

Yes but they need to win 50% of their games to catch us! even if we don't manage another point for the rest of the season which we will manage at some point!
Finnegan Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 The problem is teams below us are picking up points regularly where as we don't look like getting a point.I'm still confident though, so it's a no for me. We just got a point from one of the best teams in the league. We've still got Barnsley and Norwich to play as well as winnable / drawable games against Preston and Wolves. Yes, we're on shit form and yes I can see us finishing somewhere embarrassing like 20th. But I can't see Luton and Southend surviving and if Leeds do then Barnsley surely won't.
Master Fox Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 Thus reason we were so desperate to get Milan in before the transfer deadline, but the board messed that up and we find ourselves in this situation. I agree we’ve been absolutely atrocious for the last three seasons and it was evident from the first game of the season against Luton we were in serious trouble again. The money we have had to spend has been spent very poorly, and with a string of awful managerial appointments to fact that club has been run so badly I actually believe we deserve to go down. I've given up any little faith I had left in LCFC. Good luck to those who go to Grimsby etc next season becuase i won't be.

Luton are out of the equation as far as we're concearned, They'd need to win every game they have left to catch us. The only real worry is one of Southend and Leeds kicking on along with Hull and Barno doing enough to catch us and us getting releaged due to us pretty much not getting another reasult for the remainder of the season, To many ifs and buts for me.
