Mixed news on the squad for the visit to Gloucestershire, Josh and Rishi make the trip however Mike (back) and Scriven (abdominal issue) are both ruled out. Kimber somehow keeps his place.

Ahmed, Budinger, Cox, A Green, B Green, Handscomb, Hill, Holland, Hull, Kimber, Patel, van Beek, Walker.

I’m expecting Patel in for Kimber and Hull for Scriven, though I wouldn’t be entirely surprised to see either Alex Green or Walker ahead of Hull. No mention of Trevaskis in the squad.

One thing in Hull's favour is that in the opening round of fixtures, Derbyshire's left armer Luis Reece had an absolute field day on the same ground with match figures of 10-97 as they romped home by 9 wickets.

Hull was out-bowled by Alex Green in the 2nds the other week so it will be interesting to see who gets the call.

Excellent start, we’ll get a better idea when we’ve had a bat but the pitch doesn’t look 47/5 bad.

Holland’s bowling has been perfect for us, economical and taking wickets. Gives the others more room for attack too.

Isn't that Hull's role?

Shaw with his highest ever first class score there.

He’s too raw for that still

Bracey is a very good bat, his England call up seemed to somewhat derail his career but towards the end of last season and so far this season he's turned it back around and he's been superb so no issue with not not being able to shift him. He can do that.

Frustrating to see the tail hanging about so long though. Hull's figures are again poor, we could do with him finding his England form as think that's the best he's bowled outside of white ball cricket. Credit to Green who stepped up today with the 5fer.

Bowled well until the end really. Didn’t expect to be in the position really at this point. In the back foot big time.

Dreadful start with the bat, at least we have Mike and Scriven to come in and rescue the situat.........oh.

Website does say they were injured. If Lewis can go big then we’re well in the game but need a partnership somewhere

Take the point. That game was at Derby though.

Hearing that Callum Parkinson had a big fall out with the Durham coaches in pre season and has been frozen out not sure we need him but would be a good signing for a few other sides

Given that Trevaskis seems unfavoured we could do a lot worse than Ahmed and Parky as a spin pairing for the Blast if Parky would otherwise be sat doing nothing. Would prefer we just play Trevaskis though as he's a good player.

Ahmed made get picked for England during the Blast so availability could be patchy. So Parky would be a good option otherwise we'll only have Travaskis as a spin choice. Would sooner went for another Goldsworthy loan though but can't see that happening.

Can't see Ahmed getting an England call this summer
