Nah try to get the NRR up when 2 down, this is a meagre total. Seems like every year in T20 our NRR is rock bottom and we need 1 more point than those around us to make up for it.

Listening to The Cricketer podcast and they reckon we’re signing Stephen Eskinazi from Middlesex next season on top of the three already mentioned. Always thought he was decent, though his Champ batting average is only just over 30. T20 average is higher and first class over 55.

There's enough wickets left that we can still afford to be a bit aggressive in our batting. Shame he couldn't connect with that one properly but its not disastrous at this stage. 

 

If we were 4-5 down I'd perhaps start to get twitchy, but we need less than 10 per wicket remaining.

Are the 3 Eskinazi, Davey and Green? Richard Rae mentioned Tattersall from Yorkshire last week although I may of misheard

In contract until 2026, so must be asking to be released. He knows Handscomb from Middlesex and grew up in Australia.

As @Bert said, all four. They mentioned Tattersall along with Davey and Green and then added they ‘understood’ Eskinazi is joining us. One of the presenters, Nick Friend, is well associated with Middlesex.

They said that Eskinazi was still to be confirmed, which implies that the others are definite. They also said we were the most active in signing players, laying the ground to have a real shot at staying in div1

Would moan about the age profile about some of those but we’re going to need some serious experience in division 1. Still think the second overseas spot is going to be the big one.
