Ric Flair Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 I'm making a u-turn. I'd actually really like us to sign Tommy Miller who has been released by Sunderland. His goal scoring record for a midfielder is superb, really superb. He's on a free transfer (Milan loves them) worth a 2 year deal. He averages about a goal every 4-5 games. 10+ league goals from a midfielder on a free transfer would be priceless.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 I like that we are getting linked with some really top notch Championship players but it means nothing until we sign one or two attacking players of pedigree. I would be well pleased with the likes of Clemence, Hendrie, Ka'abi, Cohen, Todorov and Saganowski but I don't want any more signings that make me feel indifferent. Now is the time to crank it up and excite the fanbase ahead of the pre-season fixtures. The next two weeks I want to see at least one midfielder and at least one striker of real proven quality.

Ric Flair Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 I always thought he'd be a decent signing, he was great at Ipswich. People have said he's not been very good since then but his goalscoring record in the championship doesn't lie. To be fair to him, he was playing in a very poor Sunderland team in the Premiership last season and still stuck a few away, not very good by his standards but in a team that amassed just 15 points, it doesn't surprise me. This season, Keane ignored him and he had a small stint at Preston, which didn't really give any indication that he's lost his form forver. Get him in.

I know it's ten years go since the imfamous Kaamark elbowing game when he was in his prime but surely be nice to have his creativity around for a season or two. What do you reckon?

Fear for him a bit in this division to be honest. Fast paced, physical... not sure he could cut it anymore. No thanks.
