MPH Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Do you reckon he'd be good enough? well if they are going to consider going for a league 2 player then i dont see why eastwood would not be good enough. out of all the strikers being mentioned i reckon he is one i would like the most http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH0qTMSi3y0 he scores some average goals in this but he also scores some absolute pearls. look out for the goal he scores about 1 min 10. squeezes it in from the line. he is also very direct, very fast, takes people on. not lazy like mcleod.
shen Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Besart Berisha? The guy who scored against England B a few weeks ago for Albania, had a stormer of a game that night. It's about time we start beating the likes of Preston and Burnley to a half decent player. Indeed, Berisha is a talented player! If the reported price tag is actually true, I really hope we compete with them! He spent a season (2005/2006) at lowly AC Horsens in the Danish premier league, and was by far and away their star player. You could in fact compare his impact on Horsens' season to Zidan's season at Mainz this season. He scored a range of goals, all skillfully executed. At around £300.000, I'm convinced he'd be a steal.
shen Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 something you heard or just a wish? He's way out of our league..
Ric Flair Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 He's way out of our league.. Naaah he's not. He's been at Shaktar for several seasons and not really made much of an impact. He get's loaned out fairly regularly. He was at Pompey when Mandaric was there and with the Serb connections as well, it could be a possibility.

Shakthar isn't exactly a poor club, and I doubt he'd ditch Champions League football to join us. Having said that, in the unlikely situation that hes interested and we can afford him, I'd welcome him with open arms!

Gené and Tonic Posted 14 June 2007 Posted 14 June 2007 Carlton Cole? Completely forgotten about at West Ham
dandannieldanok Posted 14 June 2007 Author Posted 14 June 2007 Carlton Cole?Completely forgotten about at West Ham True but I still don't think he would like to drop down a league, plus his wages would be through the roof.
Stevosevic Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 True but I still don't think he would like to drop down a league, plus his wages would be through the roof. And it would be difficult to get a young player to leave London, especially one who, in my opinion, doesnt seem too bothered about actually playing football.
GianEmmo Zola Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 hope no ones mentioned it but id like to see Jermaine Easter here, im getting ready to be shot down
dandannieldanok Posted 16 June 2007 Author Posted 16 June 2007 hope no ones mentioned it but id like to see Jermaine Easter here, im getting ready to be shot down It's not a bad suggestion and we were rumoured with him in the papers last week. However, one-trick pony comes to mind as in being very average before last season. Unless we got him really cheap I'd rather stay clear.
pazey69 Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 Trevor Sinclair, Lee Hendrie, Billy Sharpe, Izale McLeod and Danny Murphy will do fine.
Tubes Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Simon Whaley from Preston not a bad call ive noticed him before steady player
Toby or not Toby Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 not a bad call ive noticed him before steady player agreed
MPH Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 agreed mamady sidibe. but only to stop the big lump from being that annoying player every club seems to have that happens to play well against them.. and them put him in the reserves and never play him. or better still, send him round the schools teaching all the 6 year olds..
dandannieldanok Posted 18 June 2007 Author Posted 18 June 2007 Simon Whaley from Preston I'm not sure, I wasn't overly impressed with him when Preston came to the Walkers.
shen Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Rade Prica Linkage He'd be no more than average over here...
ScrumpyFox Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 David Bell - Luton Town FC The guy is a friend of mine (so obviously slightly biased) set up their goal against us at the walkers. has already said he would jump at the chance to join us when I asked him Won a few end of season player awards, so Luton will be reluctant to let him go - but he certainly doesnt want to be playing league 1 next season. has already spoken to coventry this summer but would rather come to us
