Lester LXXIV Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 I think Thierry Henry will be the next through the door because he is unsettled at arsenalJust because Commons has rejected a new deal at forest doesnt mean he'll come here Although I wouldnt mind seeing him here, we need to bolster our midfield and he could be the person to do it. Plays the same side as Jarvis doesn't he? I'd prefer Jarvis out of the 2
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 Berkant Göktan from Munich 1860 Ha My Mrs has seen him play, live. Not to shabby apparently.
Ric Flair Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 Ha My Mrs has seen him play, live. Not to shabby apparently. Scored 10 goals in 13 starts for them this season. A good little player, just always falls short when at big clubs. A bit like Connolly really.

A bit like Connolly really. ha sort of, except slightly better than Connolly and the clubs he failed at were slightly bigger than Connollys. EDIT: Just checking but you do relise 1860 are in the German First Division/Championship/Bundesliga B/2 Whatever it's called

Germany's 2nd division can't be any better than ours or much worse for that matter? Get him in.

morris1234 Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 there have been many links about billy sharp coming to us. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...+of+speculation S****horpe striker Billy Sharp admits he has had enough of talk about his future. The 21-year-old has attracted attention from a number of teams following a superb season in League One. The likes of Norwich, Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday have all been linked with Sharp and he concedes he would consider a move if the right offer came in. But he is not happy with the amount of speculation there has been and wants to have time to mull over the offer of a new contract from S****horpe. "I have had enough about all the talk to be honest," he told the club's official website. "I keep hearing this club are interested and that club are interested but I have not even had a chance to consider my new contract offer from S****horpe. "I still had a year to run on my contract but they have scrapped that and offered another two years. "It is great other clubs are interested and if the right club comes in I would like to speak to them." personally i would like him but it depends how much they are wanting for him and it does seem that there are other clubs with stronger rumours.

Dear sweet lord it is bad, it's not a patch on the Championship...take it from, a now former, 1FC Koln season ticket holder!
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 As we need at least two quality central midfielders, any chance of signing up Richard Chaplow as one of them with a cheeky bid. What do people think?

Mort Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Chaplow might be possible... i rate the lad, it would really depend on what state WestBrom are really in and which players their able to retain, they'll struggle to fend off bids from top flight clubs here and abroad for Koumas, Gera, Kamara, Davies etc... but they might be a little more comfortable swating a bid from us for "Chappers".
damo7lcfc Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 on my wish list would be... richard wright pistone lee hendrie billy sharp...tho doubt we'd stump up the money for him leon best David Thompson Claus Jensen Trev Sinclair Tommy Miller a lot of these a free agents from prem clubs but are proven prem players n could add quality to our squad i believe for next yr....what u thnk? also for the promotion push next season i believe we would need a new left back, 2 quality centre mids, possibly a winger and another striker...to add to cort, hume, fryatt....as hammond looks to be on his way
Who ate all the pies? Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 I agree with Tommy Miller he was a quality player, still is I hope! He is what I would consider to be a 'Martin Allen purchase'. Hard working, not afraid of a tackle but still creative.
ronnup Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Routledge is supposed to be off, definate talent and we need wingers
Stevosevic Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 John Oster - i think hes a good player and a realistic signing for us.
Mark Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Besart Berisha? The guy who scored against England B a few weeks ago for Albania, had a stormer of a game that night. It's about time we start beating the likes of Preston and Burnley to a half decent player.
HankMarvin Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Eastwood: May be leaving Martin's ready to offload Freddy Southend chairman Ron Martin has admitted for the first time that he may be forced to cash in on star striker Freddy Eastwood over the summer. Wolves have already failed with a £1million bid for Eastwood, but with only a year left on his contract an improved offer could tempt Martin to let the prolific 23-year-old leave. "We are reluctant sellers but at the same time we don't want to keep a player who isn't happy here," Martin told the Southend Echo. "I wouldn't say Freddy was unhappy but like every footballer he wants to be at the highest level he possibly can. There has been continued interest, which is what you would expect because he only has a year left on his contract. "The offers so far, though, have not been cost affective from our point of view. We know Freddy can be instrumental in helping us get back up into the Championship, but then so could the money and you can never say never." Eastwood has hit 65 goals in three years for the Shrimpers, who won back-to-back promotions before failing to beat the drop from the Championship last season. hope we put a bid in
