Brainy Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 Wouldn't exactly do him much harm. I see Henderson and Nielsen being ahead of him next season, so I think yes.

I think Logan should be ahead of henderson tbh, hendo is old and losing it. Logan is young and on level par with Hendo may aswell play him as sub keeper, to build for the future. Plus if he does well he may be spotted and off he will go for a nice fee which we can put towards a top quality striker that will keep us in the prem end of next season.

Tubes Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 i think nielsen will be first choice and with henderson having more experience id have him as backup and send logan out to get that experience maybe for a season and see how he gets on
alanf0x Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 No - feel Logan should be pushing Neilson for the number 1 jersey. I would like to see us move Henderson on and get in a bit of extra cash to spend on a player we are in more need of...i,e a bloddy winger!
Thracian Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 I've yet to be convinced that Neilsen is better than either Logon or Henderson and it might be prudent to find out before we send anyone out on loan. I really find it extraordinary that people assume new signings are so much better that what we already have yet have never even seen the newcomers play in many cases. Furthermore, if it worked like that, I cannot understand why we've slipped so far from the days of the 60's, or even from the much more recent MON days, when our team was a match for almost anyone.

This I agree with. I'm quietly confident Neilsen will be our number one but we are in no rush to ship anyone out on loan so let's bide our time and make sure the right decision is made.

For the record, how many times have you seen Neilson play (live, as opposed to on TV or any other media source) to make such a judgment? Logan's positional sense hasn't impressed me at all, and while Henderson isn't the best either, I'd still prefer him to Logan. On that basis, Logan should go out on loan.

Little to quick to jump on Thracian. I don't think the competition for the number 1 shirt would harm anyone. He had a decent run in the team last year, but still looks weak in certain areas. It wouldn't do him any harm to get some first team football though, consistently.

DB11 Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 I see Henderson and Nielsen being ahead of him next season I hope so, they're the best two keepers at the club
Wezleylowski Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 I hope so, they're the best two keepers at the club How do you know how good Nielson is?
Pete_foxes Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 I think he should definatly go out on loan. When he came in for the last few games of the season when Wortho was here, Logan was very poor. henderson & Nielson will fight it out for the no1 jersey.

Sorry Thrac, but the fact that Jimmy's played 398 consecutive games at a pretty much equivalent level to the Championship, been involved with the Danish national team and was captain of his team, winning a league title and goalkepper of the year twice is sort of hinting something... Of course he might not be that good, but his past record suggests he is far superior to anything we have at this moment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In answer to the actual question, yes Logan should be loaned out but to a reasonable League 1 team. Anything less, bollocks.
Father Ted Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 It all depends on how much more Milan wants to pay for all those Pukka Pies he's been eating!
sdb Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 he needs to improve considerably so yes, send him out on loan and leave us with our best 2 keepers (hopefully). Hendo's a better keeper without doubt and i'm guessing Neilson is if we've actually spent money on him!

Micky Ruddle Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 Yes, i think he should go out on loan. Maybe for a few months, just to give him some confidence.
