Anish Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Since when has the fosse gold kit been popular? I can't stand it and I'm sure many more fans can't either. It's a rubbish kit and was only brought in to make money for the club - a decision which (I bet) has backfired...hence the club's decision to flog it at every opportunity. Anyway, the fosse gold kit was meant to be the 'third kit' - and if any away kit was going to be worn, it should be the black one.
Matt Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Wheres the Fooking black kit gone its the nicest we have 66834[/snapback] 'Racist' apparently
TornadoShaunUK Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 I'll probably get flamed for saying this but I actually dont mind it myself.. obviously Id prefer we played in the blue home kit, seeings as it doesnt clash with red nor the refs kit, or the pitch, so i dont see why we can't just play in that, but still - I actually prefer the the gold kit to the black - its that light blue stripe that puts me off =/ if it was plain black.. or.. 'dark blue' which is what its more like, itd be better...
Nationwider Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 They should be in blue shirts - end of story. As for piss-poor away kits, the red shirts/black shorts or green/yellow shirts/green shorts combos from the late '80s make the Fosse Gols effort look award-winning...if you can remember that far back
Ricey Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 We should play in blue I agree. However I do like the gold kit
Alexikokopops Posted 19 February 2005 Posted 19 February 2005 The Gold kit does its magic again!! Gold for every FA Cup tie!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111
Anish Posted 19 February 2005 Posted 19 February 2005 The club's debatable decision was vindicated after all! Keep the gold kit for the next round too!
Bert Posted 19 February 2005 Posted 19 February 2005 Do you think tht we'll wear it if we get a home draw?? always a possibility
Louise Posted 20 February 2005 Posted 20 February 2005 From the Guardian: Leicester were sporting a dull beige away strip rather than their traditional royal blue, and their efforts in the opening exchanges were just as uninspiringhttp://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/...1418456,00.html From the Telegraph: the Championship club's play was a good deal brighter than the drab, beige strip they preferred, no doubt for commercial reasons, to their traditional blue.http://sport.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jh...20/ixfooty.html
MC Prussian Posted 20 February 2005 Posted 20 February 2005 The Charlton Athletic official website even mentionned a "grey kit". www.cafc.co.uk
Cobbo Posted 20 February 2005 Author Posted 20 February 2005 Still a shite kit, stop being supersticious people Edit: The Guardian said our efforts in the opening stages were as uninsoring as our kit? We started bloody well, cheeky gits. I will have to have words. Such a cheap bit of journalism.
Guest Daniel Posted 20 February 2005 Posted 20 February 2005 I actuall like this kit now, mine arrived this morning. First time ive wore a City shirt at a game in well over a year.
Durnerz Posted 20 February 2005 Posted 20 February 2005 I like it,and its worked every round so far so if it aint broke, dont fix it
Who ate all the pies? Posted 20 February 2005 Posted 20 February 2005 The kits growing on me..when I first saw it I wasn't a fan, but now I've got used to it. Still prefer the black kit to the gold one, could be a hell of a lot worse though!
Jonbluefox9 Posted 20 February 2005 Posted 20 February 2005 As a kit, I don't like it but as a shirt on it's own I think it's ok. Not a very good colour for a kit though.
City Fan Posted 20 February 2005 Posted 20 February 2005 Anyone know what colour it actually is? I think its supposed to be "gold" but has ended up being a watered down shitty colour.
