Foxhateram Posted 17 July 2007 Posted 17 July 2007 hmmm, i think that's a little paranoid - based on that so are porter and mattock, given training session performances and lack of alternatives down the left that's not gonna be the case...i'm sure MA just wants to look at certain areas, probably the back 4, given the inclusion of sheehan... additionally, i can't imagine anyone will play 90 minutes so early in pre-season. intereting that there is no inclusion of fryatt mattock and porter would have thought MA would want to look at these guys, although maybe they have picked up knocks from saturdays games and MA is playing the sfar card saving them for saturdays game. We have enough players this season to rotate the team which i think is great and to be able to leave out some of our better players from last year and still have a good looking side makes me proud to be a city supporter again. I have high hopes this season hopefully these an all winning pre-season can give us the lift to take us far. would like to see the following team tonight. .....................Nielson....................................../sub for Logon chambers...n-gotty...stearmen...sheehan.........../mcauley to sub for N-gotty. Considering Gradel was very impressive at the weekend, i'd have expected him to be in the squad. The likes of Hammond and de Vries really needn't be getting chosen in our friendly squads. Worrying.

At least it's early days. They've still got plenty of time before the start of the season to loose that place.

I just wish we'd pay their contracts up and fook them off. Surely the fact there's been little interest in them all summer is enough evidence that they shouldn't be anywhere near our first team.

Hume Fryatt Cort De Vries * Hammond * Sappleton * Not exactly going to scare the sh*t out of the other teams is it? The *'s probably won't feature, leaving us with Hume, Fryatt and Cort. Cort will be injured all season. Hume and Fryatt have had their chances and I don't think either one of them is good enough. So yeah, still need a LOT of work up-front. 6 strikers, but 2 are transfer listed and one is 17. Not looking good
