Geo V Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 That Matt Prior has had a bloomin mare hasn't he???Any chance Leicesters' NIxon will get a chance??? Its not his best game but I dont think Nixon is the man at the age of 70 or whatever he is! BTW, all we need is 5 an over for 90 overs and its 1-1 Oh also, the thieving twats should have reduced tickets from £20 for adults and £10 for kids. Maybe at a fiver a ticket they may have half-filled the venue for what is basically a come and watch the game end in a tame draw or watch your nation England lose! Thieves I say!
Geo V Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 4 down with Collingwoods departure, lets all sit back and witness another Pietersen century as the rest lose their wickets at the other end! I know its a horrible thing to admit but Ive just backed the Indians to win at 14/1 for a tenner in the hope I can recoup the weekends losses on the footy. Come on India!
Geo V Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 Im the only one watching I see! KP does what he does. Gets to his 100 and then gives his wicket away. 19 overs to get me some money
Milky Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 Im the only one watching I see!KP does what he does. Gets to his 100 and then gives his wicket away. 19 overs to get me some money I've been watching it all day, all 5 days actually bar the leicester game Shame on you for backing India! Hope you lost loads England did really well to bat the entire day.
Brainy Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 Im not really into cricket, only internationals, but what did England have to lose today? It was unlikely we were going to win, if we played to draw we would still lose the series. Why didn't we go for the win? I presume it's not as simple as I make it out to be?

Hope you lost loads England did really well to bat the entire day. I lost £10 trying to win £150 but despite the England batsman trying to give there wickets away, they didn't quite give away all ten! one thing that cheesed me off was the pundits and a couple of the players who were interviewed almost gave us the impression that they would be trying to win. Of course its extremely impossible but the tickets were only reduced to £20 for a game that was basically all set for a bore draw as England didn't even try. I would have loved the openers to have lashed the bowlers about to at least try and get within site of the target after the first session. I know it is probably a 0.001% chance but why not give it ago to try and tie up the series???

NorthernFox Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 England have posted 288 - 2 with Bell and Cook both hitting fine centuries. LCCCs Stuart Broad in the line up. Cmon England...
Flynny Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Not as well as we could. No way we should finish under 300 with 8 wickets in hand. A good knock, but we could have done better. Broad opening the bowling.
Wilkesy Posted 21 August 2007 Author Posted 21 August 2007 England doing well in a one day match? Never. And India won the toss and put us in, expecting us to post a lowish score i presume
Joe. Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 23-2 India batting.Come on England! This is what we like to see
Brainy Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Decided to watch this today. Really enjoyed it. Prefer ODI's to test matches.
Wilkesy Posted 21 August 2007 Author Posted 21 August 2007 23-2 India batting.Come on England! Great stuff from England, but the Wall is now at the crease!
Flynny Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 And another! Ignore my last post, if we lose this... urgh. It's not happening.
Wilkesy Posted 21 August 2007 Author Posted 21 August 2007 106 - 6 off 33 overs - surely it is in the bag
Milky Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 155-8 It's been great entertainment watching this all day. What makes it even funnier is that India actually won the toss!   It's been pretty funny looking at all the Indian fans get quieter and quieter, sssshhhhhhh.
