Geo V Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 And one was edged just short of the slips. Khan is swinging it nicely and looks like he is up for taking five wickets plus. We need to be worried as he is beating the bat for fun. UPDATE - 165-5 and KP runs himself out the prat. Its all going wrong and Raj is dancing away no doubt
Cobbo Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Well Mascarenhas has just his 5 sixes in a row from the last 5 balls of the innings! Brilliant!
Dr The Singh Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Well Mascarenhas has just his 5 sixes in a row from the last 5 balls of the innings!Brilliant! That's just amazing!! From 286 runs with one over to go, to 316 runs, what a difference that has made!!!
Geo V Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Well Mascarenhas has just his 5 sixes in a row from the last 5 balls of the innings!Brilliant! Yeah I'm watching it, quality hitting but just as impressive was this kid who I must admit I had never heard of, Luke Wright who is a big hitting batsman who apparently is an opener but bats at about 7 for this game. Great 50 and well done to Shah as well for his 100 as he is another of those younger players who didn't start his England career too well but seems to have returned with confidence.
Milky Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 What an amazing comeback! 179 runs from the last 19 overs! We didn't look like getting 240 at one point. We needed those runs though on a pitch like this.

We needed those runs though on a pitch like this. Its so refreshing to actually have lower order batsmen in who can move there feet and smash the ball over the ropes. Thats what one day cricket is all about and its great to see the lads opening their shoulders and having a lash.
Milky Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Unfortunately the sun has just started blazing down. With that pitch aswell the batting conditions couldn't be any better.
Geo V Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Unfortunately the sun has just started blazing down. With that pitch aswell the batting conditions couldn't be any better. We are desperate for a wicket or two to stop the boundaries. India re at 6 an over and they look quite comfortable with it.
Dr The Singh Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Tendulkars on fire, India have reached 100 for 16 overs!! Raj must be wetting his pants!!! Edit: 14 overs!!!
Milky Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 They were always going to go hard in the powerplay overs when chasing over 300. Despite the start, 6 an over is still needed for the last 30. Can they keep it up? That is the question.
James. Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Ganguly gone earlier (get in Broad!), Tendulkar just now on 94 off Panesar. Tide is turning at the half way point... could be close.
Flynny Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Couple of wickets, but I still reckon its in India's grasp.
Brainy Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 What a game. Can't handle the tension. 313-8 4 from 3 balls needed for India.
Milky Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Great entertainment, and a good effort by England, you can't really fault them. 2 balls! oooh so close. Sets it up beautifully for the decider at Lords.
