Dr The Singh Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Tendulkar hits 50.....not looking good for England, we need a batting collapse and quick!!!!
Geo V Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Prior cant catch a cold at the moment but at least we got one wicket. I reckon we should have them all out for 500, then we`ll score 600 and Monty will bowl them out on a turning pitch for 80.

Milky Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 The pitch is starting to dry out. It's going to be very hard to pull this back.
Dr The Singh Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Thunder and intense rain predicted for Monday!!! Ahhh well, India have played this test match to plan.............................................and the the weather has had a big hand in helping them!!!
Raj Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Ahhh well, India have played this test match to plan.............................................and the the weather has had a big hand in helping them!!! Oooppsss sorry my mistake-- http://www.bbc.co.uk/whereilive/yourarea/
Dr The Singh Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Oooppsss sorry my mistake--http://www.bbc.co.uk/whereilive/yourarea/ I don't think the weather in this test match is gonna make any difference, unless India have a massive 2nd innings collapse while England batting a outstanding first innings!!!!!
Raj Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 I don't think the weather in this test match is gonna make any difference, unless India have a massive 2nd innings collapse while England batting a outstanding first innings!!!!! You never know in sport. As Greavsie used to say "its a funny old game!!" (although he was talking about Football!!! ) Mahendra Dhoni -92 from 81 balls.... i thought the one dayers hadn't started yet???
Milky Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Kumble just hit a century . Well done to the fogey. You know it's a good pitch when that happens.
Raj Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 India now have their highest score against England home and away. India 654-9 v England
Geo V Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 India have a team full of amazing Batsman and the only dude to score a century for them against England in the whole series is..... Kumble FFS!! No offence to the lad but it was his first test century and I think although we thought we had some tasty back-up bowlers in Anderson, Tremlett and Sidebottom we actually don't! We miss Flintoff, Harmison, Hoggard and Jones bigtime. They way the Indian bowlers were smashing us around was embarrassing!

Think nEngalnd will have a better chance in the 1 dayers, especially after Indias humiliation in th World Cup
Geo V Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Think nEngalnd will have a better chance in the 1 dayers, especially after Indias humiliation in th World Cup I dont! England are useless in the one-dayers themselves! India are one of those nations that have so much ability but have some mental problem going on . They are so talented and although they cant field for toffee, they are such good technically skilled batsman after years of coaching by Geo that they will no doubt over-take England as the worlds no 2 side soon, maybe even in this series (If they win this test match they leap frog England, if they draw it they are 4 points behind).

ENGLAND NEEDS YOU!!!!!! P.S- im sure most,if not all India supporters would have settled for losing this series and winning the World Cup,or even getting past the group stage!!!!

P.S- im sure most,if not all India supporters would have settled for losing this series and winning the World Cup,or even getting past the group stage!!!! I am thinkining of coming out of retirement like George Foreman did when he was over the hill. If all else fails I can always create a new style grill
RowlattsFox Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Flintoff was brilliant at clearing up the tail, we need him back. We have bowled better in this series then we did against the windies, the only difference being that the indians dont give their wicket away, even the bowlers. Ryan Sidebottom must be the unluckiest bowler alive, the amount of times hes missed the outside edge in this series.
Raj Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 and The Little Masters gone now!!11-3 Oh your all enjoying this NOW aint you!!! Wheres that bloody rain!!!
Milky Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 What the hell is Dravid playing at! He should've enforced the follow on. With rain expected later in the day aswell, added to the fact that his bowlers have rested over night surely it's a no brainer.
Geo V Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 England havent had the best of the conditions in this series but with overcast conditions and no rain due until 4pm, they can get a little respect back by bowling out a world class batting line-up for 100-150. Thats obviously if we can get Kumble out

Raj Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 It's exactly why India should be bowling right now India just want to save England blushes by not beating them 2-0!!
Geo V Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 It's exactly why India should be bowling right now Well, they dont need to win the game so to get the lads batting and give the bowlers a rest makes sense also. Enforcing the follow-on is OK if you have skittled your opponents out for 150 in 50 overs and your bowlers are still fresh but their bowlers did bowl over 100 overs so would have been quite tired. All they need to do now is bat England out of the game and let Kumble spin his magic on a worsening pitch on Day 5. BTW, I didn't realize that Sidebottom was injured so any hopes of bowling them out wont happen with the likes of Collingwood being a first change bowler!
