Head Honcho Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 RUBBISH! Bruce wtf are you doing? You have made a film that is almost on a par with Speed 2 as one of the worst film ever made *Edited* It's impossible to make a worst film then Speed 2 so you have my apologies!
Alexikokopops Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! I was watching the original trilogy the other day and were getting excited about 4.0 I knew deep down it was a foolish thing to do.
lildave3 Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Well the reviewers said it was awesome, how dare they possibly be wrong.
Blue Bob Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 I watched, thought it was OK but not as good as the reviewers have made out it was. Didnt have enough one liners that Bruce is good at. I think these all action movies dont really work when you are over 50.
Simi Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 I had high hopes for this after seeing the trailer. Simpsons is top of the agenda at the moment though.
lildave3 Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 I had high hopes for this after seeing the trailer. Simpsons is top of the agenda at the moment though. Defo. And today's the day.
stez Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Well the reviewers said it was awesome, how dare they possibly be wrong. never listen to any reviewer, other than mark kermode he's highly opinionated, but is usually spot on.
Dr The Singh Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 never listen to any reviewer, other than mark kermode he's highly opinionated, but is usually spot on. It's not that bad, you will have to switch off your brain though!! It's got loads of action, thrills and spills, the plot etc does have gaping holes but what do you expect!!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 I've seen it, it was alright, nowhere near as good as some of the critics made out and certainly nowhere even MY NEWT LEE as good as the original.
MC Prussian Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 It was awesome, thought it'd be crappy. Up until the airfighter battle scene, it's all just perfect entertainment. And that's a hard thing to pull off these days. Quality movie, imho.
Edmund Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 It was obviously gonna be no way near as good as the first two. The first two were legendary. The third one was poor also but watchable. Another point is all the other die hards have been 18 certificate, but this one is a 12 or PG can't remember. basically it means that he can only use the word fooker once, which will be used on the yippi ki ya bit. All about die hard one tho. IMO watered down to cater for all ages = more cash money
JadeFalcon Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 ahh it was a pretty decent film, saw this the other week, and yeah the fighter sequence is a bit far fetched, but that is an actual experimental fighter in development, but the rest of the film deffo gets my thumbs up
Phube Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Every one I know who's seen it (including myself!!) think it's great... so I'm afraid Head Honcho you're wrong!!!
Flynny Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 It's too fast and too clean, and the best line in the entire film is censored with a gunshot. It's not awful, but it pales in comparision to the first two, at least.
Webbo Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 never listen to any reviewer, other than mark kermode he's highly opinionated, but is usually spot on. Mark Kermode (born Mark Fairey [1] on 2 July 1963) Didn't realise that Kermode wasn't his real name, I can see why he's changed it though.

Yeah, now he's gone from gay to a toilet. Fantastic. As for film-reviewers, Ebert's reliable. Unless you like really trashy films, I suppose.
Webbo Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Yeah, now he's gone from gay to a toilet. Fantastic. It's fair to say he could have chosen better.
Head Honcho Posted 26 July 2007 Author Posted 26 July 2007 Every one I know who's seen it (including myself!!) think it's great... so I'm afraid Head Honcho you're wrong!!! It's more far-fetched then Transformers ffs! I don't know why they bothered paying for Bruce Willis most of his scene were made up of Computer Generated Imagery and the scene where he fell from his truck onto the fighter jet was to be honest an insult to my intelligence ..............and the shooting at the end of the film Do me a favour!
sdb Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 i too thought this film was crap. SO boring, SO predictable. just a nothing film really imo. some nice effects but that was about it
