Phube - you seem content with anything that doesn't involve horror scenes or Sheffield United...ahh, more horror scenes. I get it. It's just a horror thing.

THERE SHOULD BE A FILM FORUM, SOMEBODY MAKE IT HAPPEN

 Not sure what you're on about there (not the Sheff U thing!! :) ) I love horror films, and really liked the Ring, but I preferred the Grudge (scary little Japanese boy!!), Battle Royal, Hostel, Saw. But 7 is a good score from me.

At least everyone's agreed that American Beauty is an excellent film.

Also, in the Orange ad thats on before films (at least in the odeon), is the woman playing Joan of Arc/Cheerleader the girl from American Beauty? The slutty one?

It's "I don't care if it is France, that's sick", which is one of my favourite lines in just about anything. How DARE you mess it up? :P

I need to find that ad online.

On the subject of poor football films I thought the adaptation of Nick Hornbys fever pitch was pretty good :dunno:.

They took a good book and turned it into a shit chick-flick

Your very mouthy today aren't you

The Empire Strikes back is one of the greatest films ever, Return of the Jedi isn't a patch on it.

How do you like them onions.

I got my number around the wrong way...the ewok film pulls a paltry 4, a film for the lovers of teddy bears everywhere.

  • Flight of the Navigator - not seen, is it like The Neverending Story?
  • Gremlins - not seen, looks a bit crap.
  • When Saturday Comes - poo, 2.
  • Goal - looks crap, not seen.
  • Speed - 4, without Sandra Bullock, 2, without Cruise, 5. I hate Tom Cruise like nothing else.
  • Romy and Michelle - never seen, thank god.
  • Trois couleurs: Bleu - not seen.
  • The Ring - not seen.
  • Godfather Trilogy - I'm surely the only person not to have seen any of these?
  • Monsters Inc. - seriously good-looking movie, 8.
  • The Incredibles - not seen.
  • The first Star Wars Trilogy (old) - good, but I couldn't be arsed to watch them again - 6,7,6.
  • The second Star Wars Trilogy (new) - the first one was dull, 4, so I've not bothered with the rest.
  • The Mexican - great film, 8. I have to say I like Pitty and Robbo at times. They give good comedy.
  • Hot Fuzz - really want to see this, I hope it's like Shaun Of The Dead, but without zombies.
  • The Full Monty - best seen just the once, 5.
  • Bridget Jones Diary - yaaaawn, 4.
  • I Robot - I Havenotseenbot.

  • American Beauty - absolutely love it, 9.
  • Fight Club - It's been on my +box for ages, unviewed as yet.
  • Blue Velvet - not seen.

  • horror film - not really a fan of the slasher/Freddy genre, so I'd have to go for a thriller like Silence Of The Lambs or Cape Fear.
  • kids film - Jungle Book.
  • sci-fi - dunno, Alien maybe?
  • comedy - probably something a bit ironic and dumbass like The Anchorman or Airplane. I should be able to do better than that, but I can't think....*edit*, of course, The Big Lebowski! Thanks, Jesus Quintana! Doh.
  • action - dunno really, I don't like stuff with cars and explosions and the like. 's all bollocks, init?
  • war - I bought Apocalypse Now recently, but I've not watched it yet. I'll say Apocalypse Now.

Saw it last night, had to sit in row 2 because it was rammed. Okay film I guess, some good humour in it without being too cheesy although being a 12A you're going to get a portion, at times though you just can't work out what's going on (might be due to the fact I was literally sniffing the screen - note TBJS is not a serial cinema-screen sniffer). Could have been alot better in my opinion, the ending was a bit of a mash-up!!!

  • kids film - Shrek
  • sci-fi - Turbanator

  • Favourite film of all time - Cannot Say

Worst Film: Gandhi - so far from the truth and distorted from reality it should be a sci-fi\mythological. Harry Potter was a more realistic Gandhi epic!!

Do you mean Return To Endor?

I got stung by a bee watching that film. :(

Some many of you are commenting on films and yet I have no gauge as to whether you have any celluloid taste. If you would care to rate the following out of 10 so that I may be able to assess how much I rely on your comments in future and then add comments if needed.

  • When Saturday Comes - Not Seen
  • Goal - Not Seen
  • Speed - 4/10
  • Romy and Michelle - Not seen
  • Trois couleurs: Bleu - Not Seen
  • The Ring - 5/10 American - 8/10 for the Eastern version.
  • Godfather Trilogy - 9/10 - only the final one prevents a perfect 10.
  • Monsters Inc. - 9/10.
  • The Incredibles - Not seen.
  • The first Star Wars Trilogy (old) - 7/10.
  • The second Star Wars Trilogy (new) - 3/10.

Event Horizon scared the hell out of me when I first saw it, I need to watch it again.

I seem to remember enjoying it.
