City_4_Life Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Best to get the defeat out of the way, Now we will go on and win the rest of the games this season.
Ozwin Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Kaebi, hurry up and heal yourself! Replace Newton on the wing and get Levi on the other side.

filbertway Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Best to get the defeat out of the way, Now we will go on and win the rest of the games this season. You are joking, aren't you?
Brainy Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 At least we'll have a few more faces soon, also Kisnorbo and Kaebi.
City_4_Life Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 You are joking, aren't you? What would make you think that.
Ozwin Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 I want to see De Vries' 'smashing volley' - Apparently it was a scorcher and the keeper had no chance.
filbertway Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 What would make you think that. Usually I would expect it to be a joke, but with some people on ehre you can't be sure
Pete_foxes Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Sounded like we created some good chances, just need to put them away.I'm quietly confident De Vries is to blame for us not scoring Also, why the hell did weso play on the wing????? Sounded like we can atleast take some positives from todays performance & i'm sure even though he didnt play Levi Porter will get the blame someway or another on here.
filbertway Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Off topic slightly... Doesn anyone know when footballe league review is on?
filbertway Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 If only Casino was in goal.. It would probably have been 3-0
Cal Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Can I no be fooked reading Thracian's drivel tonight. Than fook for work. That one day ban sounds quite good
CanaryNathan Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Very shocked with this result, thought you'd get atleast 2 goals! Never worry this early in the season though, Just look at Sunderland last season until Xmas time! On the other hand, decent result for us considering PNE had 15 corners and we had non, (0-0 FT), also 4 senior players missing due to the illness from that BBQ.
lookwhaticando Posted 11 August 2007 Author Posted 11 August 2007 On the plus side... we're not in the relegation zone.
Ozwin Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 *Typical 'Oh no it's going to be one of those seasons' comment*
CanaryNathan Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 It's still early days yet mate, you can't judge one game for a whole season! - as I said in another thread, look what happened with Sunderland last season, if they had judged from their early results they would of been relagated not promoted! Yes you could of done better but you could of done alot worse, just look at poor old Sheff losing 4-1 to ipsh!t Lets just wait for the first ten games before deciding and getting on anyones backs, maybe things could get alot better!
lildave3 Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Meh. Was a shamoblic performance imo, but i'm still confident of a top half finish. It's going to take time for all these players to start gelling and all that nonsense. Besides, even MON started shit.
SystonFox Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 it wasnt the worst of games but from the off blackpool looked the better side. we were never very convincing. De Vries volley was a screamer, shame it didnt go in. Hume had a screamer from about 20 yards which almost dipped in and was unlucky not to score with a header from about 12 yards. blackpool only had 2 real chances in the 2nd half, one skimmed the far post and one was deflected onto the bar and into the back of the net after that it was just one of those games we have, e.g burnley, hull, brighton, plymouth, watford etc. we even hit the post late on and blackpools keeper made 2 double saves i think. best player was hume or n'gotty. worst was probably newton but mattock had a stinker in the 2nd half.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Defeats disapointing - BUT - did Charlton, West Brom or Sheffield Utd win? Nope, most any of these got was a point. Had a bad feeling about today's game from about the 32nd minute on when i heard Stelling say about the curse - why do pundits and the like do that - tempt fate, couldn't they just stay quiet!
Brainy Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 Defeats disapointing - BUT - did Charlton, West Brom or Sheffield Utd win? No, but haven't taken advantage of that.
Webbo Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 I thought Blackpool worked harder and were better organised. Couldn't believe how narrow we played. It wasn't a disaster but very little to get exited about.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 11 August 2007 Posted 11 August 2007 No, fair point, piss on my attempt to raise spirits!
