wurmer Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Fookin stupid decision at this stage IMO. Sigh, here we go again....
DBEightyFive Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Think I'm gonna get my shirt printed up with Allen 1 on the back now
Hackneyisblue Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 and..... http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=8...ytoid=528286228 It's probably all bollocks and please don't shoot the messenger
Smudge Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 According to Barber's commentary he said Allen was behaving wildly in the technical area and I believe he said that he threw a ball at Clarke's head at one point. As the first half ended he stormed away to the dressing room. I just wonder what went on in there and was that the last straw for Mandaric. Firing someone after last nights events and having no replacement leads me to think it was an fairly instant decision. I guess we will have to wait and see........
Lanesy Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Still in a state of shock! MA is fantastic, he had the desire, passion, ambition and commitment to take us to the next level, i am sure of that. Something must have gone on because this just isn't normal. Milan has made a massive mistake, i just hope it doesn't effect our progress this season. It's not been a good 2 days really has it?
Dames Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 and.....http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=8...ytoid=528286228 It's probably all bollocks and please don't shoot the messenger The youth team didnt like the fact that they had to earn something the lazy gobshites. The coaching staff that were thier are near enough gone. And the women in the ticket office are horrible.
Don't call me Mad Dog Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 and.....http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=8...ytoid=528286228 It's probably all bollocks and please don't shoot the messenger Yes, that's exactly the sort of thing that happened in MK. Oh sorry, allegedly. Seems more than a bit coincidental that the same stories are coming out at Leicester, including telling the staff he allegedly didn't want anyone to contact / disturb him. Hope your next manager gives you the success you should have.
Yaxx Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 What a f^cking load of bollox. Has MM totally f^cking lost it?? So who the hell will he get in now? Roeder? Warnock? F^ck me, that'll get us all singing in the stands eh? Unless by some miracle he brings in Jewell or Coleman then we can forget about pushing for promotion. The team will just go to ratshit now. F^cking marvellous.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 and.....http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=8...ytoid=528286228 It's probably all bollocks and please don't shoot the messenger Well I've heard or read that FIFO thing before in an interview with Allen's PA at the club so that's hardly a secret. Did anyone else notice Adrian Whitbread run on the pitch on Tuesday night at half time and tell all the players to run in instead of just walking in at the break? I think Allen had a bollocking planned but I don't think Clarke was injured due to MA.
Eastern Fox Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 What a fu*king blunder by Mandaric after the outstanding performance against Watford. Remember the interview on Radio Leicester afterwards-MA seemed so confident and happy. I've lost a lot of respect for Mandaric-this is a ridiculously premature judgement on MA's ability as a manager and its so disruptive to the team, how are the players he's brought in going to react to this?
Steve09 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I just signed up here to get the reaction of other Leicester fans. I haven't read through all of the post so please excuse me if I'm repeating other people but this is how I feel... I feel so sorry for Martin Allen, he left his job at MK Dons where they were happy with him, for him to come to a bigger club, only to be told a couple of months later and 4 games gone he has to go, his family have been messed around and were in the process of buying a house and his kids especially, what does he do now? Milan Mandaric has a track record of this, on Sky Sports News just now they said he went through 8 managers in 8 years at Portsmouth :\ It was meant to be a 3 year plan to get us back in the Premier League, Mandaric has said tonight we have parted company due to different views (something along those lines) and we should keep on track for promotion, he thinks because he has spent a little bit of money we SHOULD be promoted this year. This is exactly what happened with Harry Redknapp, he left Portsmouth, 6 or so months later he returned, this was without the Portsmouth fans making much fuss over him leaving becuase the were in the Premier League and they had a good team, but Martin Allen was meant to be with Leicester long term in a bid to get us back in the Premier League and Leicester fans will make a point to Mandaric about getting him back, as I for one and I think I talk for most Leicester fans I want him to be our manager. If Neil Warnock came first time around or even now, I would be happy, but ideally I would like Martin to come back and if not, I feel so sorry for the guy, but I am hoping Martin will be coming back because his enthusiasm, determination and funny side were refreshing and its just what Leicester needed and still need, now it feels like were back in the dumps playing for 15th or so position. I'm glad I'm not going to Plymouth because with what happened to Clive Clarke and then the day after the manager is sacked, I don't feel like going to watch Leicester, as I bought my season ticket with the view of Martin Allen being the manager and after 2 home games hes not.
Eastern Fox Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Good post Steve09. I think Mandaric needs to make it clear what his intentions are towards Allen's sacking and the future of the club in general.
lcfc2k Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I was out bowling and it flashed on the screen in front of me at the point, I threw the ball in rage, I cannot believe this decson so early: 4 games: 2 wns, 1 draw, 1 loss!!! I mean what did Milan want........Gives him money to spend, bring in 12 odd players gel the squad, then sack the manager who will have to work with the same players! I mean transfer window closes around this time tommorow. I really hope you get us out of this, I thought MA was going to be our hero, the long intervew process and what hes given less time than Rob Kelly. Well I didnt go to many Leicetsre games last year due to uni in London, unless htings change drastically, I dont see myself being there much htis season, I went to 2 games this season one being Watford. It is gob smacking I really felt that was our best chance of having someone with passion and drive, o well back to square one. I agree boycotting is not a goodoption but it may have to be done to get our message that we like to give our managers some time. Who is out there that will really make a bigger difference! Im so angry tonight my blood is boiling!!!
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 My head feels like it's going to implode after these last couple of days. I really can't deal with this much stuff going on its insane. If someone had told me a week ago MA would be fired and Clive Clarke would suffer a heartattack i'd have never had believed them. I'm just going to go chill out with a cigarette and a beer, hopefully in a couple of days things will have calmed down all around the club. I just can't deal with all this.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 This is shocking this is so unprofessinal MA had the potential to be one of the best managers this club has ever seen. How is a club ment to succseed if you hire a manager then sack him after giveing him 3 matches, it makes us look like rubble complety embarrising.
BigGibbo Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 does Milan care anything about supporters? the club? how does he think this will effect everyone? especially after last night...speaking of last night maybe he is thinking of a certain email that was sent by a certain politician a couple of years ago... ' this is a good day to bury bad news'...
kylecoare Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 The fans should all sing Martin Allen songs during the next game. Martin Allens blue and white army. Milan will regret this decision, what a week.
Chimp Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 This is shocking this is so unprofessinal MA had the potential to be one of the best managers this club has ever seen. Really? On what evidence do you base that statement? Don't get me wrong, I think MA should have been given a bit longer at the helm and I don't agree (based on results) with his departure, but I really don't see why or how he is being proclaimned as the potential saviour of LCFC? One win, one draw, one loss. Some of his signings have been good, some mediocre, some bad. Tactically he got it right against Watford but got it so wrong in other matches... where in here are the signs of his apparant sainthood? Okay, you could say he instilled some passion throughtout the squad, but if that was only driven by fear (of the manager, according to rumours) then it's fake and won't last through any period of bad results, it'd just turn sour. Sure, be angry that he was never given the chance to prove himself for better or worse, but please, don't make out that he was Jesus, or something.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Milan has more money than sense i still can't believe it but i think he wanted a new manager in time before the transfer window closes so he can put in a 3 million pound Hasselbank
Nick Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Milan has more money than sense i still can't believe it but i think he wanted a new manager in time before the transfer window closes so he can put in a 3 million pound Hasselbank The manager has alreay been picked. Two days before the transfer window closes, the new manager - unveiled or not will be behind any incoming transfers, and will have been behind them for the last week. Otherwise the media would not have known that MA was leaving more than four days ago, as they clearly did. We will have a new manager by the end of next week and that manager will know exactly who these signings are, even if we have never heard of them. I don't believe that this is simply about the ruffling of feathers or pride over the JFH affair. It is deeper than that. Milan's three year business plan of a premiership assault has changed. As he said in his statement RE: MA, the key is the promotion push for this season. The share deals he did upon buying the club, the tv rights money for those being relegated next year means for him the financial outlay and the need for goals and points is paramount. N.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Really? Sure, be angry that he was never given the chance to prove himself for better or worse, but please, don't make out that he was Jesus, or something. IN MY OPINION POTENTIALLY i thought he had what it takes to make it as a manager with us he had all the charecteristics to susceed, Passion, Enthusiasm, Motivation and Balls also he was very well liked (just read this tread) and informitve. But at the end of the day we all move on and continue to support the foxes thru the highs and lows of which this is one. We have to trust that Milan is right and makes the right descions so we are back in the prem sooner rather than later knowing Milan did the right thing. Up the foxes Leicester til I die
Charnwood Norris Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 According to Barber's commentary he said Allen was behaving wildly in the technical area and I believe he said that he threw a ball at Clarke's head at one point. weggy1976 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Hmm...did Allen give Clarke his heart attack? don't post rubbish like that.
weggy1976 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 It's obvious which signings were Milans and which ones were MA's. Hellings, Neilsen ...... not featured in any squads. Milan not took it lightly. He wants a yes man at the helm to play the players that Milan wants to sign. Someone mentioned on here about the "new manager" already known and agreed deal (which I agree is likely), however I don't agree he will have a choice in which players get signed. Thats Milan's area. Like it or not the new manager will work with what Milan gives him. And if he doesn't then he will follow MA. The one plus point..............De Vries may not be favoured by the new manager ???
