ALLEN SACKED - CONFIRMED

It's obvious which signings were Milans and which ones were MA's.

Hellings, Neilsen ...... not featured in any squads. Milan not took it lightly. He wants a yes man at the helm to play the players that Milan wants to sign.

Someone mentioned on here about the "new manager" already known and agreed deal (which I agree is likely), however I don't agree he will have a choice in which players get signed. Thats Milan's area. Like it or not the new manager will work with what Milan gives him. And if he doesn't then he will follow MA.

The one plus point..............De Vries may not be favoured by the new manager ???

That's only a plus point if DeVries has been totally useless to us... and that appears to contradict current thinking amongst many fans at the moment.

The manager has alreay been picked.

Two days before the transfer window closes, the new manager - unveiled or not will be behind any incoming transfers, and will have been behind them for the last week. Otherwise the media would not have known that MA was leaving more than four days ago, as they clearly did.

We will have a new manager by the end of next week and that manager will know exactly who these signings are, even if we have never heard of them.

I don't believe that this is simply about the ruffling of feathers or pride over the JFH affair. It is deeper than that.

Milan's three year business plan of a premiership assault has changed. As he said in his statement RE: MA, the key is the promotion push for this season.

The share deals he did upon buying the club, the tv rights money for those being relegated next year means for him the financial outlay and the need for goals and points is paramount.

N.

Good stuff, nick - controversial but, more and more, seems to be utterly plausible.

certainly it would explain the shocking lack of form and focus at forest.

Things to consider:

1. MA proved nothing in his time here, he is not a god

2. MM most succesful manager, harry redknapp, is NOT a yes man

3. MA is not coming back

4. The players will, of course, be disrupted by this, but better now than later, MM clearly didn't want MA anymore, he had to act now, as it would have been harder if the team had hit a run of form. Players these days are used to managers coming and going. who says any off them were happy with him?

please, please, please - make the madness stop - MA won't come back. Move on.

I've modifyed the petition now, still worth signing perhaps?

Milan Mandric you have angered  and upset me  and i believe disgraced this club and its loyal band of supporters.

Martin Allen delivered one of the most comprehensive and well ocherstrated victory's on the weekend, one that I have not witnessed in a long, long time. Instead of the enormous praise and congratulations that Martin deserved, you have placed your personal pride at stake by making a rash and ill fated decision to remove this man that I believe would take the foxes to the top flight once again.

I hope that you and your suits understand that a football club is bigger than the individual and your failure to accept others professional opinions could be Leicesters downfall....I do hope not.

Get on the petition and let rip...this is not the last you will hear of it. Wednesday August 29th 2007...a terrible day in foxes history.

In the end the is more to this than we will ever know.

From things that i have head (only hearsay (not the band) granted) that allen upset a lot of people at the club not just Milan.

Asked a memeber of staff (don't want to name names) what he thought and all he said was "eccentric" with a stern look on his face. Didn't seem too impressed.

Not in anyway disappointed.

Allen always appeared to be a man who has managed to elevate himself to a falsely high station through positive talk and actions. I do not believe for one moment he had the intelligence or and abilities to produce successful football at the level we are aiming for.

The standard of football we are producing, his constant bullshitting and the paucity of numerous signings must have been sending MM mad.

If you lot have aspirations of getting back into the top flight you were never going to get back up there with a manager that couldn't lift clubs out of the lower leagues. At the Dons we were the second highest spending club in the league, so relatively speaking, as a transfer budget ratio he probably had greater money to spend with us.

All Mandaric ever said was that he admired Allen's passion. Passion alone doesn't win you the league, you need other attributes on top of that.

Abrupt as it is, personally i'd rather lose a manager now then half way through or at the end of season.

True... let's not forgot that a lot of MK Dons fans didn't rate him because of his eccentric ways and particularly upsetting staff... at the end of the day I back MM because:-

(1) He has the money to make as a force in England

(2) He wouldn't just buy the club for them to falter.

(3) Is the only multi-millionaire who has ever wanted to put money into our club; nobody did that even in our darkest 2002 hour

Ok granted that his tenure wasn't long enough, but barring Watford, four of the other games (counting F*rest) weren't convincing

We have no evidence at all that Mandaric has put money into the club.

Apparently former shareholders are still awaiting payment for their previous holdings.

And the summer spending spree, and consequent expansion of the payroll, could well have been financed by loans - which will have to be repaid to Mandaric at some stage. That's how things happened at Portsmouth.

Far from clearing the club's debts, the chairman may well have added to them.

Does anyone seriously still believe this man will take us back to the Premiership?

Heroic Allen is sacked

Mandaric sacks boss Allen 18 hrs after he saves life of defender Clarke in dressing room.

Exclusive by James Nursey 30/08/2007

Ruthless Leicester owner Milan Mandaric sacked Martin Allen yesterday just hours after the manager helped save the life of Clive Clarke by giving him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Allen, only appointed the Foxes boss in late May, was one of the first on the scene when Clarke, 27, collapsed after a heart attack at half-time in Tuesday night's Carling Cup tie at Nottingham Forest. Allen attempted mouth-to-mouth to revive Clarke after the defender lost consciousness in the dressing room.

Allen, 42, said: "I'm fine. But a lad nearly died on Tuesday night and 24 hours later I've been told to leave.

"It is very strange after four games, two wins, one draw and one defeat but I can't say any more for legal reasons."

AdvertisementClarke's heart stopped beating twice and paramedics at the City Ground eventually got Clarke breathing again by using a defibrillator.

Dubliner Clarke, on loan from Sunderland, is now in a stable condition at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre undergoing further tests.

But Allen's brave role in the terrifying drama has not spared him from the axe following a series of rows with Mandaric.

The colourful chairman, who took control in February after selling his Portsmouth stake for £25m, fired Allen yesterday morning before visiting Clarke in the afternoon.

Ex-Brentford and Barnet boss Allen, who has brought in 14 players this summer at Leicester, was last night coming to terms with an astonishing series of events.

Leicester, who are ninth in the Championship, were losing 1-0 at Forest on Tuesday before the match was abandoned and have put academy manager Jon Rudkin, coach Steve Beaglehole and goalkeeping guru Mike Stowell in charge for Saturday's game at Plymouth.

Chelsea reserve team coach Brendan Rodgers is the surprise name in the frame with Gary Megson and Neil Warnock also on the list of candidates.

Mandaric is now looking for his fourth manager in six months at Leicester after releasing a statement about Allen's exit saying there was a "difference of visions".

Allen's final result was a 4-1 home win over Watford on Saturday when Clarke played 90 minutes.

And Mandaric is hoping the defender makes a full recovery after claiming Clarke was yesterday talking with staff and family.

"It is encouraging news that he is stabilising and has sat up and spoke and is quite comfortable and resting," revealed Mandaric after visiting the player yesterday.

"While everybody at the club was hit by the sadness caused by such a tragic incident, we have now been lifted by the remarkable progress Clive has made over the last 24 hours.

Welll shocked doesn't really sum it up.

I hope MM is ready for the pressure he has put on himself. I think the fans would have given MA another month to show what he could do before the real pressure came on for him to go. However, in getting rid of him MM now needs to bring someone in who is successful from the off, a win in 2 games or your out!

The money is great, but in an football club, the Manager has to be the person calling the shots around which players come into the team and who gets picked each match, this feels like a very dangerous precedent has been set.

Not very easy to argue against ATM

I'm shocked and disgusted by this. It's not the way to treat someone regardless. Even after 4 losses but especially after everything that's happened this week (Watford and then the stuff at Forest). It's a joke.

Less then 24 hours until the transfer deadline...no manager will be able to bring in his own players, do his own pre-season training or really get to grips with the squad. If MM claims it's not results but vision of the club then he should have seen this during the interview stage.

It's very unprofessional and a very poor decision in my opinon. I hope ther is a really good replacement lined up, something special.

What the buggery fire**** - couldn't believe this tripe when I read it this morning.

Where is the common sense in sacking a manager after this many games?!

It transcends all belief.

I think MM needed to pull his head in and couldn't.

Sure we're grateful for MM's input into the club, but that shouldn't make us his personal play thing!!! For ****s sake.

If the previous board were in charge we would not have players such as clemnce, Campbell and N'gotty here.He has the ability to lend the club money and will get it back when he sells the club 5 years down the line. Lets not shoot the guy down for christ sake, He being the owner is responsable for all the debt at the club.Portsmouth went through a couple of managers before he got got it right and he did get it right. All will be ok.

I'm still convinved there is more it than just MM and MA falling out. Nothing to do with results either.

He is banking on us getting into the premier league, its not shit or bust for him but could be for us. And with his current decision making i'm not as confident as i was.

While I don't question that money talks louder than most things, you really have to question the decision behind sacking a charismatic manager after only 4 games. It's lunacy.

2. MM most succesful manager, harry redknapp, is NOT a yes man

Which you may or may not have noticed, worked out so splendidly the first time he was at Portsmouth, in terms of him getting on with the Chairman, and staying in his job.

Posted

Well Ive personally had a day to sleep on it and have surprisingly woken up a little more philosophical after yesterdays events. OK its still a ridiculous decision to hire someone and then fire them 3 league games in but if MM believed that he wasn't going to be up to the job, then maybe its not going to be as disastrous as first thought. (Yep I'm clutching at straws lol).

Looking back, Milan may have been frustrated in MA`s inability to bring in top quality players or even come out at say that we were interested in them.. If you can remember, it was MM who was saying that we would move in for the likes of Saganowski when MA probably didn't want to bother. MA obviously prefers hard working and pacy players which is my preference too to be honest but MM craves the type of signings that would bring the fans back. A reporter on the Championship show the other day said that Robbie Fowlers arrival at Cardiff sparked 3000 shirt sales with his name on the back in ONE DAY. MM was arguably very disappointed in the attendance against the leaders last week where we only attracted 21,642 after an opening 26,650. Maybe with a couple of big name signings a few more would have turned up? Its just an assumption but someone who wants to get more money into his club like Milan will surely look at these things.

Of course Milan hasn't helped things with the MacKay/Fucillo situation and then trying to influence deals but maybe a high profile manager who has plenty of contacts may have been able to secure some better quality players than MA managed. Again Im only speculating but you would imagine a Harry Redknapp or Kevin Keegan maybe would have brought in better quality and wouldn't have to rely on DVD`s which is what MA has done at times.

Looking forward, and thats something we must do asap, I hope the next appointment will satisfy us fans because we are all concerned how the current crop will react to the sacking of MA.

Get it right Milan to get some respect back.

Don't agree with this decision. I was happy with the signings we made over the summer and it seems that we were making progress.

I cannot understand which top manager would be prepared to work for a chairman who wants to interfer and tell the manager how to do his job.

I was thinking last night of all the bizarre things I've experienced at Leicester since I was taken to my first game in Little's first season back in 1991. There's been penalty heartaches, little us in Europe, Pierpoint trying to force O'Neill out, admin, transfer embargoes after admin, La Manga parts one and two, dramatic comebacks, throwing away of leads, £5 mill on Aknbiyi, seeing us top of the premier league. This is possibly the most surreal, with our manager sacked 3 weeks into a season, with a player lying in hospital after very nearly dying on our dressing room floor. We are now a proper circus and a joke.

Club in crisis - again.

Just when it seemed to be going alright....

I don't think we are in crisis as we will have options and good ones too but this is definitely a body blow that we need to recover from quickly.
