DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Don't agree with this decision. I was happy with the signings we made over the summer and it seems that we were making progress.I cannot understand which top manager would be prepared to work for a chairman who wants to interfer and tell the manager how to do his job. I was thinking last night of all the bizarre things I've experienced at Leicester since I was taken to my first game in Little's first season back in 1991. There's been penalty heartaches, little us in Europe, Pierpoint trying to force O'Neill out, admin, transfer embargoes after admin, La Manga parts one and two, dramatic comebacks, throwing away of leads, £5 mill on Aknbiyi, seeing us top of the premier league. This is possibly the most surreal, with our manager sacked 3 weeks into a season, with a player lying in hospital after very nearly dying on our dressing room floor. We are now a proper circus and a joke. Well said.

Looking back to Saturday, maybe he already knew his fate as he was quite emotional and animated on the pitch before kick-off. I think he was already aware that he was leaving.

I think he was already aware that he was leaving. ....................as I said in a previous post. Yesterday was always going to be the day of departure-he wasn't going to sack him before the forest game(too much turmoil) and with no home games for a while it gives him time to appease the fans with the signing of a dynamic new manager. I get the feeling our new manager is going to surprise everybody
blue blood Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 my god what the fook is this bullshit? martin allen, we love you, apologies for this wank we have put you through....dont worry you will get a job soon and i have no doubt you will manage at the top flight. Milan, i hope you know what you are doing. you have just created many many enemies. You have lost a lot of trust and respect. Go build it back - something you did not need to waste your energy on. there is no manager in the world that is going to bring win fter win until we are the champions of europe. I hope this works out for you and me.
jonw88 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Does anybody know if MA's other backroom staff have left, like Adrian Whitbread etc. and the other guys he brought with him from McDons?
adam Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Does anybody know if MA's other backroom staff have left, like Adrian Whitbread etc. and the other guys he brought with him from McDons? Think they all have int they?Defo Whitbread
purpleronnie Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Have to say I didn't like the appointment of Allen in the first place he has never done anything at a decent level. I would have prefered someone who had managed at a higher level. Having said that the way he's been treated is poor to say the least. But he'll be compensated well, lets move on.
OzFox311 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 I am absolutely shocked... he is the most successful manager we've had for some time and he's sacked without even getting a chance to prove himself... must be something more there... All the best with the future Martin Allen, we have loved every minute you have been in the club and I am sure you will do well wherever you go in the future... To Milan: You better have a darn good replacement on board as if you don't and the season goes the south, I can assure you there will be howling from the rooftops from the foxes... I am shocked... totally shocked... oh well, not much we can do though but move on.
botFOX Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 is he the first manager from the championship to leave this season? then again didn't hurt sunderland last year
PaulRG Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Hi, this is my first post on here, still in a bit of shock 2bh, fair enough if he'd had 20-30 games and we were languishing in the 20th kinda area like last year, but after four games, a 4-1 victory over one of the championship favourites, and nearly a win at crystal palace, yes blackpool was poor but there were even bright spells during that. we need M.A back, someone with a bit of passion and determination, which others such as kelly and levien didnt have. please add ur name to this http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/save-martin-allen
timmyfb Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Mandaric is the one who has to go! Allen was never given a chance, hes quality and would have got us into the Premiership. But now hes gone! Im all for getting Grayson in, he's a Foxes legend and seems to be a top nic manager....looks like it might be on the cards too: http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sports-n...link.3159439.jp
jaffa1970 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Just got in from crappy day at work to find the best club in the world in turmoil yet again!! But if history was repeating itself with MA and his ways, as written about by MK Dons fans, then maybe it will be for the best. Can't say that I agree with any potential signing of JFH though. As supporters we are there for the players who pull on the shirt 40 odd times a season. Let's continue our support of THEM even if we are not totally happy or in agreeance with the owners way of dealing with things. Foxes never quit...and quitters never win..so don't go pulling the pin of your support of the players of LCFC..the greatest football club in the world.

Unfortunatly for the foxes there's always some idiot with too much money sitting on a horse wanting to rip a fox to peices....
London_Fox Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 My worry with all this anti-MM feeling which I'm sensing as well is that he turns on the fans for being ungrateful. It's difficult to balance the pressure of wanting Martin Allen back (or someone better) with a fear of losing MM...he doesn't have much time for people who don't agree with him. Remember what we did to MON during his early days with us and he never forgave city fans for that. I think MM is going to need to bring in someone exciting and give a proper justification for the sacking to appease the fans a bit on this.
OzFox311 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Explain As in he at least looked like giving us a team that could win games and play some sort of football.... Rob Kelly, great man but the chances of us winning matches were 30/70... everyone previous to Micky Adams, the percentage is even less... This bloke at least looked like taking us somewhere and now he's gone... it's really sad...

This bloke at least looked like taking us somewhere and now he's gone... it's really sad... What you actually mean is that he talked a good game. OK he wasn't given the chance to show us what he could do but to say most successful manager for sometime is stretching it a bit. Seems we have more dead wood at the club now then before he arrived coupled with some seemingly bizarre tactics and an ego the size of Belgium - It didn't look good for him did it? I'm disappointed he's gone but lets not big him up too much hey! Leicester City as a club will move on whatever happens and we all wish Martin the best of luck. Lets look forward to Chapter two of the Milan Mandaric takeover.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Does stuff like this happen at other clubs or is it just us? Squad sent home from La Manga for drunken hijinks, Administration, half of squad arrested for rape, Dennis Wise, the world's most protracted take over ever, and now four managerial regimes in the space of about 15 competitive games. You can say what you like, but you cannot call this club boring
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Does anybody know if MA's other backroom staff have left, like Adrian Whitbread etc. and the other guys he brought with him from McDons? Haha brilliant!
Bryn Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 Having slept on it, I think all hope is not lost. If we win at the weekend we'll all feel a lot better. What's done is done. Time to move on.
