ALLEN SACKED - CONFIRMED

Most people on this forum bought into the whole Mandaric thing from the outset - me included - so it seems a bit rich to be baying for the guy's blood when he's doing what we all wanted him to do, namely provide strong and decisive leadership. If this all a bit upsetting for you, get a grip, or get on the phone to The Foxes Trust and we can all go back to the days of being run by dozens of bumbling do-gooders and director's loungue schmoozers. Because after administration had been seen off, they were just the best times, weren't they?

High-minded, highly-strung, big-mouth British managers like Martin Allen, Mike Newell, Ian Holloway, Graeme Souness (and possibly Neil Warnock???) are all totally incompatible with top flight football in England. Allen is too much of a loose canon to succeed in the current climate - he would be incompatible with most foreign owners.

Those that succeed are either unflappable, ruthless pragmatists - Ferguson, Hughes, Moyes - or Artful Dodgers not adverse to bending the rules and bending over for their masters - Allardyce, Redknapp.

The Daily MartinBlog was a jolly good read - if you like comics. But behind all the blue-sky thinking and buzz words, I don't think we really had a serious football brain at the helm. All the psychobabble was compensation for a lack of footballing substance. A soundbite here, a joke there. Pity the ball's not in his Carl Cort anymore. Good luck Martin - you're a nice guy, I hope you make it - and thank you for breathing life into the corpse of MDV.

The next manager will have to work UNDER Manadaric - them's the rules now. And if anyone thinks an anti-Mandaric protest is a good idea, explain to me in clear terms how this will help the team and I'll join in with you. And while you're at it, remember who paid for Clemence, N'Gotty, Kishishev, Campbell, Clarke, Fulop... He who pays the piper calls the tune.

You've made your mistake Milan. Get it right this time please.

A well reasoned and rational post, but it doesn't cover the fact that we've just been made a laughing stock.

For every bit of Allen's PR excercises there must have been a massive amount of unbareable shit going on behind the scenes for it to come to this.

On that much at least, i have to agree with you... more's happened that we know (yet) and jumping on Milan's back and blaming what Milan's "done" before we have any idea what Allen may or may not have "done" is just foolish and frankly damaging.

Time to rekindle the love I had for the team I supported as a kid. Come on Liverpool lol

Me too! Come on Leeds...

Not really! Leicester fan at birth and will be a Leicester fan at death!

To sack and have to pay off a manager so early on is a massive embarrassment and admission of getting his appointment wrong. The decision wouldn't have been taken lightly to say the least.

When managerial appointments are made, chairmen will also try to speak to all sorts of people for their opinions on the candidates in addition to the interviewing process. He must have known the man and the character and as much as you may dislike MA for leaving your club, we wont have a bad word said against him as he has set this club alight with his enthusiasm and charisma. Its just a shame the chairman has seen some stuff that he dislikes but that may be more to do with MM`s failings than MA`s.

It can't look good from the outside, can it? Not much I can say about that.

Not really sure what relationship would work going on MM previous form!!!

I understand and we were going through similar emotions when he went with a forboding sense of who the f**k do we get in now...Newell, Adams - beggars can't be choosers but hardly the most inspiring replacements.

The point is that it'll turn out alright and don't pay too much attention to names like Megson and Roeder being banded around, that's just the press...we ended up getting a manager that went almost unmentioned until his appointment.

does Milan care anything about supporters? the club? how does he think this will effect everyone? especially after last night...

speaking of last night maybe he is thinking of a certain email that was sent by a certain politician a couple of years ago...

' this is a good day to bury bad news'...

Mandaric is a fooking cvnt, i will never sing his name again, he is an absolute tvvat of the first degree :protest:

lets not be so pessimistic about MM ability to get a good manager:

1. the argument that he'll only sign pussys like roeder or megson - i dare any of you to go up to harry redknapp and say that... the bloke has real personality (tho he is a dick)

2. he chose martin allen - MA is not a bad manager, he wasn't sacked because of results or performance, that is apparent.

3. this is a really good gig, i'm sure plenty of managers will jump at the chance

That may be so, but without him admin was calling.

If we got Roeder I think I would literally cry.
