Ajax Treesdown Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Milan is the owner. Its his choice at the end of the day and I would never call MM. We have to go with Milan, even though this is very astonishing news. Good Luck Martin but it was never to be. I'm over it already!!!
Glen_lcfc Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Yes BFT THey are calling it an exclusive interview with MM on why Allen HAD to go ?
Dames Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Calmed down now but i feel dissappointed and betrayed. Whats gunna happen now ? With the Trauma of last night and now the fact the Managers been sacked what are the players gunna do ? Alot must be going through thier heads right now and i wouldn't be surprised if we was hammered by Plymouth on saturday. With no manager and only a few days left of the transfer window i dont see us signing any players that will fill the problematic positions so basically were stuffed. Prepare for another season of boring crap because were not gunna get another manager like Allen whos willing to give chances or try things out. So looks like another season of pain and suffering is on its way i'm afraid.
Trumpet Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Milan is the owner. Its his choice at the end of the day and I would never call MM. We have to go with Milan, even though this is very astonishing news. Good Luck Martin but it was never to be. I'm over it already!!! But without us, his job is not worth doing. We need to stop looking up to him and remember its his job to make US the fans happy, then himself, whilst doing his job and enjoying it, picking up some extra ££ along the way perhaps. I bought my season ticket because Martin was the most promising managers we've had here for quite some time and this has made me just not want to bother going down any time soon.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 At least the flower beds at the training ground will be a lasting testimonial.
Anish Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I know we'd be in great financial difficulty without Milan Mandaric but the way he's going about trying to achieve his goals for our club isn't a way I like. As supporters, we like to form bonds with players, managers etc and now a manager, who most people had grown to like so soon after being appointed, has been shown the door after three league games. To me it feels like we've wasted all of pre-season getting to know Martin Allen, letting him do things his way, making his mark at the training ground and the stadium. I may be looking at things from an emotional point of view but football is meant to be a sport full of emotions. We may do better with a different manager but I was enjoying Allen's character. I felt it would be entertaining and even if we lost we wouldn't have to put up with shit excuses. Roeder's like a talking book, he tells the same old story all the time! If we appoint him I'll be gutted. It may sound stupid but being a football fan isn't all about immediate success. For MM it appears it is, which is understandable. Agreed. The more I think about this, the more angry I get at Mandaric. The thing that I used to be so proud about Leicester City was that we were a community club with strong values. This club is so strongly linked with local schools, it's commitment to anti-racism is second to none, it was known as being a club with family values which gave people a fair crack at the job. We have given all our recent managers plenty of time, and as fans we've been patient and understanding over the years. But to sack a man after what happened yesterday, when one of our players nearly died, and after only 3 league games, is disgraceful. It's dispicable behaviour from Mandaric. I don't care if it's in the best interests of the club. It really hurts me when I think of the way we've disrupted a man's livelihood in the manner we have with Allen. I really feel for him. He went through hell yesterday and now he's out of a job. Milan you really have lost it.
Sods Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 The last 24 hours have been very emotional for very different reasons with City.I can't read anymore tonight on this forum - I'm worn out - so I'll bid you all goodnight. Hope for better things in the next few days. Ta Ta! Its because you have 4 posts left and no1 will be able to congratualate you.
Milky Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Yes BFTTHey are calling it an exclusive interview with MM on why Allen HAD to go ? Well that was a crap interview. It revealed nothing.
Bluefoxtim Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Cvnt. Even if we did miraculously get promoted this season - sacking him would have still been the wrong thing to do.
Sods Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 How fikle will we all look at the end of the season singing milans name. ::
davieG Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Well that was a crap interview. It revealed nothing. Well I hope you're not surprised, if you actually examine what Mandaric says in his interviews you'll find he invariably says FA.
Smudge Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Nothing will change Milan's mind now so all this venting is quite redundant, there's not a thing we can realistically do other than deal with it. I didn't think Martin Allen was doing that well but I absolutely thought he should be given a chance to prove himself; that option is no longer available. My concern is who the hell he's going after now. Anyone worth his salt will want to run the ship and not be MM's running dog. Paul Jewell has been cited as a top runner by some........hardly a wilting violet.
Don't call me Mad Dog Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 At MK Dons Martin Allen was 'allegedly' a nightmare behind the scenes, and whether he had zero confidence off the pitch, or was just a bully plain and simple, he ended up alienating a lot of the club people who keep the business going. All allegedly of course. From what I hear, he was also allegedly rumoured to be throwing his weight around at Leicester as one of the earlier posters suggested, to the extent that staff were threatening to leave. On the pitch, you couldn't judge him on his 4 results, but I suspect its not just Milan's ego that has caused this. MK Dons supporter and Martin Allen neutral.
Rincewind Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 didn't see this thread earlier. I was looking for general chat. I now realise whyu this forum is so busy. Just heard the news on the 10 o clock news.. bit shocked really. thought the 'argue' stories were just rumours. I thought overal Manderic was happy with what Allen was doing. There are one or two questions to be asked. Is Manaric the interfering kind of chairman? Does he want a yes-man? Was Allen too single minded for him. Did Allen ignore suggestions on team tactics? It will be difficult for a new manager to come in and work with the present players. I acxtually Allen spoke well after the Watford game saying he wants the players to give their all and thought he had installed that into the players despite the first couple of games..
Sods Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 What a joke. What a joke. No i keep thinking its a joke but its real
bezza1 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 hi guys first posting tonight. have spent the night reading through all the everything people have been putting and i must stay am gutted the MA has gone, i though he was going to be good for the club. Though having digested it for a few hours now am beginning the think thats it better now than later when we are struggling down the bottom of the table. We are all quick enough to boo if games aren't going well and calling for the managers head. If the two cant work togther someone has to go, MM won't he's the man with the money, the man who's trying to get us into the premiership. The os did say it was mutual so maybe it was as much MA than MM? having been to all the game so far and some of the pre season matches i did think that MA would have known he's strongest team by now, but i dont think he did and was still playing around with it. As for a new manager who knows as long as its not Warnock i dont mind but it will have to be a "yes" man to work with MM. I ts a shame that all this has overshadowed the events of last night, my thought are still with Clarke .. he was doing ok for us aswell.
ibbosuk Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Can't believe this has happened!!!!!!!!!!!! If he gets Warnock my family of 5 will be handing in their season tickets!!!!!!!!!! The only half decent person is Jewell but i want MA back I will miss his passion and his daily blog!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited at the start of the season and now I feel No dont hand them in I'll have a couple...please
bluefox82 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I know everyone is slagging MM off but if we get promoted i am sure you will all be singing his name from the roof top! lets just have a bit of faith with him and see what he produces!!!
Hackneyisblue Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 An interesting follow on from the dons fans claims of weight being thrown .... http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=8...ytoid=528285857
Bellend Sebastian Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Very sad to hear about this, but not surprised in the slightest. I'd hoped that all the stuff in the media over the last week or two was a load of nonsense, but I spoke to someone that has good inside knowledge of the club at the weekend (didn't post as I cannot name my source and what would be the point, it wouldn't be any more believeable than the made up stuff on here), and they said things looked very dodgy but people were crossing their fingers that it could be resolved. It's impossible to say how well Allen would have done if he's been allowed to get on with it, but I'm very sad as I had a really good feeling about him, a good feeling I can be pretty confident I wouldn't have about Warnock
davnet Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 No dont hand them in I'll have a couple...please Only if it's Warnock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
