It is funny when we get record temperatures in April and then it actually gets colder in the summer......maybe we'll have a september like last year which might make up for it a little.

Prague and Austria have had terrible floods, so a bit of drizzle and cooler temperatures aint really a big deal.

Good few days. My brother in law came out of his Coma and is now taking (amazing given where he was a few days ago) and we sold our house in less than a week on the market for above asking price.

Good to hear you BIL is improving!

Congrats on the sale. Have you already bought another home?

Last day of my 40s today :(

From my experience, in a couple of years time, you wont even remember you had the 40s   :dunno:

Had a turkish bath today and managed to do jeremy's joke on peep show to Nancy while I was in the sauna. best moment ever

Thanks.

Moving into a rental for a while until our new build is completed in Dec.

Did you rent a place up there or do you know people? Been trying to find a cottage or something for my girlfriend and I to rent but cant find anything nice.

We stopped in a little hotel but I found several places worth looking at. Definitely give Groupon a try if you haven't done, they seem to have various lake district breaks on at the moment.

We stayed at a nice little hotel called The Cavendish Arms in Cartmel which I'd certainly go back to. Lovely area though, I reckon most places would be pretty decent.

I'd you're looking for something more cottage-y we did find this place as well which has great reviews.

Collapsed onto the floor after pulling a muscle in my back. Had the morning off work, as I really can't move. I'm 21 now, god knows what my back will be like when I'm older.

You'll be fine. The person pushing the wheelchair will take the strain.

Haha turns out it's a prolapsed disc.

I'm pretty sure I did the same 2 years ago, but never went to the doctors, I assume there's little you can do but rest?  I have had back problems since then, not any pain but it doesn't take much thesedays to give me back ache.

Apparently so. I've been prescribed stronger painkillers but that's all I can do apparently. Can't get off the couch, or anything. it's weird!

That's what I thought, just one of those things.  I remember having to look after my niece the day I did it....that was a long day.  Took quite a while before it felt better.

Heel quickly my friend.

Got a pain in my shoulder. All on the inside. Painful just lifting the arm or doing things like opening car door from inside. Think it could be the ball/joint causing the issue. Any one else had similar problems?

Horrible things if it's a bad one. I've got a herniated disk that puts pressure on my sciatic nerve which has just flared up recently. It's been fine for the last five years or so ever since I had a cortisone injection in my spine. If it ever gets bad make sure they know because physio often did me **** all for the pain. It got to the point where I literally couldn't get out of bed in the mornings and couldn't sleep at night.

I'd had a good day. Work was going well. Had to do a presentation to a bunch of Docs this afternoon, and it went ok.

Then I started driving home, thinking about how well the day had gone and looking forward to this evenings curry as I was hank marvin....and didn't notice a fookin mobile speed camera van on the side of the road. I'm not sure what the limit was, but I think it was 30. I'm pretty sure I was doing over thirty and a nice big hundred quid fine is going to land on my doormat.

Great........
