Was having a fairly decent day till Mum called me to say my Grandad had just had a stroke, waiting for news and deciding whether to drive up to Bridlington. Fingers crossed for him

All the best Sparky. Nearly 2 years now since my girlfriend's Dad had a stroke. Hope your Grandad makes a full recovery.

Just been to the most pointless, embarrassing, and insulting "Back to work" meetings down the Jobcentre.

Do these people really think i've not been phoning companies, using the internet, looking in the paper for job vacancies, sending my CV via post and e-mail, looking through the Yellow Pages and contacting every fucking company in the line of work I want, every day since i've been out of work?

That's fucking 1 hour of my life i'll never have back.

Had a job interview.

Now very sleepy.

What job Chimney Sweep?

You'd make a cracking Chimney Sweep.

I've been to work all day and be wound up something chronic by the Sporting Wigston mouth piece.

Apparently i'm not cockney enough to be a chimney sweep. I've tried, believe me.

Damn it, my next guess was going to a 19th century shoe shiner. However if that requires more cockney prowess than chimney sweeping.

So what's it doing then?

I applied there once, didn't get the job like, can't remember what it was doing though.

Best of luck anyway :D

P.S give me my old railway shirt back

An hour? :( Think I have to have another of them soon. Sigh.

Mixed day lost money on a bet (bloody federer). But found out that I can have either 1st class ticket to Houston + £500 expenses or a Economy ticket + £1000 expenses.

Not sure which one I will have, but its nice to have a choice.

Well it should have been an hour, It was 45 minutes for me because I spent this first 15 minutes in the pub :giggle:

I'm surprised they let me in tbh, and if they didn't let me and I missed the meeting it said I could lose my payments so I must thank them for that.
