Fulop - 7 Kept us in it. The guy is class.

N'Gotty - 6 Not as good has he has been, but stuck to his task.

McAuley - 6 His fault for the goal, quite dissapointed with him tonight.

Kisnorbo - 7 Class act. Won everything in the air.

Mattock - 6 decent performance, got well stuck in.

Hume - 7 The guy ooozes class, and works so hard.

Jimbo - 6 Really unlucky to get injured, started off well.

Clem - 8 AWESOME. Led by example, scored the winner, justa awesome.

Sheehan - 7 Good wing play, good crosses, great free-kick.

DJ - 6 Great runs off the ball, MDV could've layed him through once or twice, seems to get bullied, got nothing from the ref.

MDV - 6 Worked hard, got fouled a lot, wasted the ball a lot as well.

Chambers 7 - Plaenty of energy, great ful leading to his booking which prevented thema clear goalscoring opp.

Stearman - 6 Gave a bit more pace and energy at right back

Fryatt 7 - Changed the game held the ball up well, sed the channels well, class apart for our 2nd goal.

Fulop - 8 - Smashing game. Neat, tidy. Well excecuted tackle.

N'Gotty 6 - Not great, good enough. Climbing a bit.

Kisnorbo - 6 - Not at his usual standard today.

McAuley - 6.5 - Better than Kisnorbo, could have done something about their goal if he hadn't stopped dead thinking there was a foul.

Mattock - 6.5 - Didn't impose himself on the game, but did perfectly well enough. A few great balls into the box.

Hume - 7 - Worked hard as usual, some sloppy passing.

Clemence - 9 - I'd have given him an 8 without the goal, but superb. A class act.

Wesolowski - 6 - No time to make an impression.

Sheehan - 8.5 - Had a stormer in the first half, played well before his goal, and the goal sealed it. Bought the ball nicely into the centre and crossed well enough.

DJ - 6 - Amazingly unlucky and frustrating game. I thought he was awful towards the start but he improved steadily. Had a string of baffling decisions all go against him.

De vries - 6 - Decent.

subs

Chambers - 7 - Did a good job out of position. Pacey. Rash tackle could have cost us a goal, mind.

Fryatt - 8 - Involved in both of the last two goals, looked lively and up for it.

Stearman - 8 - Looked up for it as soon as he was on the pitch. The defending he did he did well and his goal seemed cooly dispatched. Got a bit carried away afterwards attempting some sort of unesscessary scissor kick clearance? lol

Fulop 9 (Made one superlative save and two or three more good ones. His decision making and handling were superb and the only think I'd fault was his erratic distribution. He's starting to look one of the best keepers we've had here for ages. Kept us in the game at times.)

N'Gotty 5 (Looked vulnerable and weary at right back. I really think he's a much more effective centre-back and see no reason he should keep the likes of Chambers out of his rightful place).

Kisnorbo 6 (How the Forest players tormented the big men on the floor with their twisting and turning. This game was such a good example of how vulnerable we are against fast, lively footballers who play the ball to feet. We were second to everything after the break).

McAuley 6 (Lost concentration and lost his man completely for their goal having been distracted by what looked a justified appeal for a foul on Devries, I believe. My comment for Kisnorbo also applies.)

Mattock 6.5 (I didn't think he'd get a recall but Mandaric seems to rate him and he played as solidly as I've seen this season. Linked particularly well with Sheehan first half).

Hume 6.75 (Eventually played a vital part in us winning the match but seems too far away from the danger areas in his wide position. Didn't complain though and his 100% "never quit" ophilosophy eventually paid dividends).

Wesolowski 6.5 (Injured and replaced and how we misssed him. From playing smooth passing football and being on top for much of the first half we became disjointed and overrun in central midfield where Chambers so rarely picked the right pass and sometimes looked lost)

Clemence 7.75 (Wonderful winner after a game of ups and downs).

Sheehan 7.75 (Trademark freekick for the equaliser, his second goal of the season. Produced a near goal-line clearance and probably posed our biggest attacking threat in the first half with three telling runs into dangerous areas and several probing crosses. Retained possession well too. Quieter second half when so much of our passing dried up but still retained his positional discipline and was clearly absolutely delighted with the result at the end).

Campbell 5.5 (So disappointing really. Has ability but rarely looked like imposing himself on the game).

DeVries 6 (Not at his best. received plenty of the ball but simply make sufficient use of it with quick, clever knock-ons. However, he is so hard to keep out of a match completely and eventually had a vital assist).

Chambers 5 (Must be so frustrated playing out of position again. Gained possession often enough but just couldn't use the ball effectively. We really do cry out for a midfielder like Andy King on the bench. Look forward to seeing him at right back again soon).

Fryatt 7.5 (Re-ignited our ambition. We had gone so flat in the second half and were embarrassingly second best at times. Suddenly he posed a whole series of new and unwanted questions for the Forest back line and the team started passing the ball again at the same time. Vital assist).

Stearman 7 (Showed his capabilities as an attacker once again with the equaliser that so lifted our team and deflated the opposition. Seemed determined to pass the ball on the floor as well, a welcome return to what he does best and something which quickly caught on with the rest of the team).

Tactically:

We did well first half but needed to be fitter because we were caught half a yard short so often in the second half when Forest passed and moved so much better than us. Again I thought we sat too deep second half and had insuffient runners to make good passing options. The substitutions all had a purpose and I thought two out of three were successful.

Altogether a night to remember. Not only for our excellent gesture in giving Forest their one goal lead back but for the spirit we showed in wresting victory from the jaws of defeat.

Fulop 8 Good saves at vital times, looked a bit vulnerable at times, he is such a large unit he isnt scared to come 15 yards for crosses, but its a lot more difficult when theres 6 players in between that 15 yards! Could improve his decision making but has such a presence between the sticks, he really does. The opposition know hes there and ready to claim the ball.

N'Gotty 5 Looked very tired and 2 games in 4 days is probably too much for the old campaigner. I still like his game though, he rarely gives it away and is so strong.

Kisnorbo 7 Solid performance, nothing spectacular really, they didnt really pose much of a threat in the air so he was fine there, and seemed to deal pretty well with the tricky Tyson.

McAuley 7 Same as Kisso. But play to the whistle!! It was so clear the disappointmebt on Kisnorbos face when we conceded the second goal. But hes so good in the air is Big Mac. Another thing that shocked me was his pace aswel - he was keeping up easily with Agogo who is no slouch.

Mattock 6 Did what he was asked. Defended well, good positioning, didnt take any risks really and put a few good crosses in which had we of had more than one player in the box, we may have scored from.

Hume 7 His normal dynamic self. Didnt do an awful lot, but when we needed him in the final 10 minutes or so, he seemed to up his game and combined well with Fryatt. Seemed scared to shoot though for some reason, had numerous chances to shoot from range but didnt want to.

Clemence 9 The guy is awesome. You get what you pay for, and you get the experience of a player like Clemence. He is just a different gravy, the glue of the midfield, another who rarely gives it away and cracker of a finish. He's been due one, hitting the crossbar against qpr and watford. What a time to get it though!! Fantastic.

Weso n/a Started alright, seemed to be playing reasonably well until injury forced him off.

Sheehan 7 Cracking goal, seems to be coming out of his shell a bit more now and is looking a reliable player indeed. Whipped some great balls in aswel.

DJ 6 Looked poor in all honesty. Made some good runs, but as someone has pointed out, seems to get bullied and the ref gave him absoloutly nothing in fairness. Not his best night.

DeVries 6 Looked back to his old tricks again. Looked like he did 2 years ago - lethargic and just generally rubbish, but seemed to improve when Fryatt came on and a valuable, very good assist.

Subs

Chambers 6 Chambers in central midifield?? Another Megson tactical masterclass. I dunno where he got thayt one from i really dont, but his energy seemed to work ok, not great, but ok.

Stearman 7 Goal!! Get in, did feck all 'part from that but scored well done!!

Fryatt 8 Changed the game. Held it up, ran the channels, ran at their defenders, a brilliant cameo, and hopefully he'll challenge DJ and hopefully in the process help with DJ's form - we need competition.

Fulop 8 - Unbelievable save at 1-1 preventing a certain goal. All round display was impressive.

N'gotty 6 - Had a tough night against Commons and distribution was a bit iffy at times but in general tidy.

McAuley 7 - Won a lot in the air and made some decent interceptions, does the simple thing under pressure.

Kisnorbo 7 - Very much like McAuley.

Mattock 6 - Stuggled at times I felt, especially as Lennon kept playing the spare man on his side and making it almost a 3 on 1 at times but stuck to his task and showed good maturity, some of his runs in the first half looked promising.

Hume 7 - Driving runs and worrying the Forest back 4, would have liked to have seen him have a go at goal when presented with the openings as he posseses a superb shot but did his job well adapting to the right side.

Clemence 8 - Brilliant display, calm in possession, organised quickly at set plays and capped it off with the winner, well deserved.

Wesolowski 5 - Battled well but game was brought to a premature end, just hope its not serious.

Sheehan 7 - Superb free kick and first half display was eye catching, second half seemed to run out of steam a bit but then showed his delivery into the box could present problems for the opposition, prefer him on the wing to full back.

Campbell 4 - Shoved off the ball far too easily and couldnt beat the last man, had a good effort saved but aside from that a performance to forget.

De Vries 5 - Didn't have anything go his way but instead of get frustrated and go missing he never gave up and made the contribution to the 3rd goal.

Subs:

Chambers 7 - Energetic, lively and uses the ball very well providing a decent outlet, adapted to the middle well.

Fryatt 6 - Neat touches and kept possession.

Stearman 7 - Was in the right place at the right time for the goal and held his own at the back during his time on the pitch.

Fulop - 8 - Super save and great tackle prevented certain goals.

N'Gotty - 6 - Rarely let his man get past him but did look sluggish.

Kisnorbo- 7 - Won alot in the air but concentration worrys me abit sometimes

McAuley - 7 - Show pace i didn't think he had in short spells but shut off for thier second.

Mattock - 7 - Solid, Good work down the left and some good balls.

Hume - 7 - Usual hard working but wasted some oppurtuntys aswell as carving them out

Weso - N/A

Clemence - 8 - Ran the show for us and what a finish for the winner.

Sheehan - 8 - Looks much better than Porter and what a goal.

DJ - 5 - Too lightweight and doesnt know how to use his pace.

De Vries - 6 - Ref gave him nothing all night but he kept at it and got a vital assist in the end.

Subs.

Chambers - 7 - Full of energy and was everywhere.

Stearman - 8 - Just for the goal

Fryatt - 8 - Brilliant Cameo, gave us a whole new dimension.

Fulop - 8.5 This guy could be the difference between an average season and a decent one.

N'Gotty - 6 Gave the ball away a bit, struggled with commons.

Kisnorbo- 6.5 Solid enough

McAuley - 6.5 As above.

Mattock - 7 Best game i have seen him have this season.

Hume - 6 Was very sloppy at times.

Weso - 6 Was driving force while on the pitch.

Clemence - 9 Superb, class act.

Sheehan - 8 Best game i have have seen the guy have for the club, better left mid than left back.

DJ - 5.5 Looks light wieght, though always a danger in the box

De Vries - 6.5 Not his best game, was fouled when they scored the 2nd, good work for the winner.

Subs.

Chambers - 6 Not a centre mid.

Stearman - 7 Only because he scored.

Fryatt - 8 Made a difference, will he get a chance now?

Fulop 6 - Couple of good saves, some strange decision making on crosses and wild distribution.

Mattock 6 - Got up and down pretty well, slightly esposed in defence.

Kisnorbo 7 - Solid.

McAuley 7 - Commanding in the air, suspect on the ground.

N'Gotty 5.5 - Some half decent crosses but passing was mainly poor.

Sheehan 6.5 - Great free-kick but drifted to far inside leaving us without an option on the left.

Clemence 7 - Bustling display, too eager at times but his goal was stunning.

Weso N/A

Hume 5 - He isn't a right winger at all, his passing at times was dreadful, the effort is still there though.

Campbell 5 - Lively but too weak and failed to run in behind often enough.

de Vries 6 - Good control but inability to header is frustrating.

Chambers 7 - Neat link-up play.

Fryatt 9 - Excellent, strength and poise, held the ball up brilliantly, played major role in both the goals.

Stearman 6.5 - Good goal other than that nothing.

Apart from tidy defending for the entire time he was on the pitch, right?

Right?

Absolutely. He got us passing the ball out of defence constructively and on the ground. I couldn't see that he put a foot wrong and his goal showed a bloke who was prepared to go where it hurts and take responsibility.

I think he was asked to stay disciplined and to help us stay narrow because of Weso's injury and Chambers' inexperience in central midfield.

Indeed it was one of the things that impressed me. The Sheehan of old was a marauding player, constantly breaking forward into attacking areas but sometimes at the cost of leaving space to be exploited behind him.

Last night he remained disciplined because circumstances demanded it and seemed perfectly willing to play the role asked of him. Clearly too the manager didn't want Mattock being left too exposed with Forest going forward and I don't think he was.

Exactly what I thought. No hoofing either. I've seen him on as sub twice this season and both times he's looked a perfectly good first-team player eager to make his mark. I don't think he'll be more than good backup this season really, but he IS good backup.

I said to a couple of mates I thought Stearman would score. Lucky guess really, but he looked well up for it and I was so pleased when it went in.

Fulop 8 - some vital saved very composed yet again, sign him permanently please Milan

N'Gotty 6 - steady nothing more

McAuley 7 - very composed, won virtually everything in the air again

Kisnorbo 7 - some great challenges strong in the air as well

Mattock 7 - got forward well sound defensively best performance of the season so far for him

Hume 6 - a bit subdued, dint get wide enough at times

Weso N/A

Clem 8 - MOTM strong in the tackle, good passing and a well taken goal. took responsibility when Weso went off and helped Chambers through

Sheehan 7 - great goal and a very disciplined performance

DJ 5 - Gave too many free kicks and didn't impose himself on the game

MdV 5 - Struggled versus Morgan badly (not helped by the ref never giving him a decision), but did well in the build up to the winner

Chambers 6 - Solid enough, got around well and put his foot in which i suppose was all that we could expect with him in CM

Fryatt 7 - looked very lively when he came on, did more in his 20 or so minuets then DJ did all Saturday and last night combined.

Stearman 6 - popped up with the vital equaliser and was solid enough defensively although didn't have too much to do

Fulop - 8 (Commanding. Best keeper since Flowers!)

N'Gotty - 5 (Definetly a Central Defender playing Right Back. His distribution was shocking again last night. He rarely links up going forward, and looks uncomfortable when he does. Chambers must be fiirst choice full-back if we are serious about winning fottball matces!)

Mattock - 6 (Steady preformance from the youngster. Still a little early for him, but he did his job)

McCauley - 5 (Was very disappointed in the usually reliable Centre Back. Tyson was just too good for him last night)

Kisnorbo - 7.5 (Another master-class from the Aussie)

Hume - 6.5 (Out of position, but as usuall gave 100%. Would like to see him down the middle again)

Wesolwoski - 7 (Has been our best player this season, and was once again dominating in midfiled until his untimely injry)

Clemence - 7 (A mixed bag from Clemo, ut the goal pushed him up to 7)

De Vries - 5.5 (A poor second half, pushes his mark down)

Campbell - 3 (Can we swap him for Tyson. He's supposed to be quick but was out paced twice by their centre halves. Not strong enough. Brainless runs, terrible first touch. Not worth the money we paid, and I'm increasingly worried)

Sheehan - 8 (Best game in a City shirt)

SUBS:

Chambers - 7.5 (Out of position but is a great athlete who was instrumental in some of our better attacking moves last night. His movement into space off the ball, creating room for others)

Fryatt - 8 (Campbell would do well to learn from his technique. His presence changed the game in our favour).

Stearman - 6.5 (Still not convincing defensively, but got up the filed well to score his goal)

LEICESTER CITY F.C. - 10 (Very proud to be associated with the club today!)
