Raj Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Against Blackpool we played well and had 20-odd chances and could have easily won 3 or 4 nil and it have replicated the Watford match. The first half of forest was terrible though.Against QPR we were dire, against Forest we were dire, against Charlton we were dire. Allen may not have had the results, but the performances in general were very good and things were coming together. YOU MUST FORGET MARTIN ALLEN Even if we won all our games under him 3-0,4-0 3-1 he would have gone. End of. Forget about him and what he did footballing wise. It was a non football decision. FORGET IT!
Webbo Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Sunderland were in relegaton zone at Xmas last year. They got promoted. Im not saying we will BUT we have time to get it right eventually Exactly. It's either a total disaster or 'we've gonna win the league' on here just lately.
Bluefoxtim Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 We are still only a few points off 6th with a game in hand. It's very early on. Let's not completely over-react here. Hopefully with time we will eventually settle on the best 11. As we were for much of last season. The fact is the side doesn't look like it will string a run of results together so we will never manage to close that gap, just drift slowly away.
maddog Posted 22 September 2007 Author Posted 22 September 2007 Like someone other said, your typing like you represent Leicester when your not, be lucky you have got Mandaric because if we didn't we'd be in a league lower, just count yourself lucky. Your never satisfied, then why not go and watch someone else play, because i doubt Leicester would want fans like you sitting in their stadium. im just typing down what i think im not trying to speak for everyone else or anyone else. sorry if it sounds like im speaking for everyone but im not trying to and don't mean to and dont even think i am

No i think its pretty much 50-50 and most people who don't rate Megson don't come on this forum. Why should i go and support someone else ? I have supported leicester all my life and just because i don't agree on something. I should go and support someone else ? How does that work you frickle twat. Go on the foxfanzine where theres a few leicester fans who feel like me aswell.

Hopefully with time we will eventually settle on the best 11. Or we're one point and place off the bottom 3, depending on which way you look at it. Judging things on the league table after 6/7 games doesn't really mean a lot. Judging things off the performances are a different thing, however.

They tell you to fook off and support someone else.

I really can't wait to see you go to see Mandaric on Thursday, because he will laugh in your face. Oh yeah, 2,000 posts i've retired until all these ****wits have gone.
Mort Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 I think its worth separating the issue of "wanting Allen back" and "wanting Megson out". Its pretty clear that (results and pre match pep talks and waving to the kop aside) Allen's position had become untenable, to think that he's coming back is simply delusional and even if it wasn't there's little to suggest that his return would be helpful. On the other hand there is no such reason to think that Megson should ever have been appointed in the first place or that he cannot or should not be removed, he was a poor choice from a poor field (quite an achievement considering he was competing with the likes of Reid and Roeder!) and has done nothing (in an admitedly short period in place) to suggest (and all we're looking for is a "suggestion") that he can achieve anything as our manager. So should Allen have gone? - Porbablyu by all acounts he made his ow postion untendable. But should Megson go (or should he ever have been appointed in the first place)? - No (and the vast majority on this site thought so at the time) there was and is better out there and the club and MM should have realized this, its far far from an ideal situation I'll admit and yes we'll be made to look even more like a laughingstock but if thats what it takes...
Bluefoxtim Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 1. Show me the sources that it's 50/50 for megson It's probably worse than that.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 2-0 defeat to Charlton, didn't even try to attack and get back in game. Id give him a few more games then get him out if results dont come our way. i know we can't get Allen back and no good manager would want to come here as there is no job security with Milan. I would put Taggart in charge see what he can do. Possibly another former player as assistant. Former players look like the only passionate possible managers who will really care about Leicester City. Them and Allen who we won't get back.I just cant believe this has happened, so much optimism pre season, thought it would be different with new signings, Hossein Kaebi and Martin Allen, but Allen has gone Kaebi hasn't and probably won't play and most of the new signings apart from Clemence, Dj, Chambers, N Gotty don't even play Disgraceful post. You must be one of those idiots from tuesday night chanting "One Martin Allen", although you probably didn't go to that game either. Typical armchair-esque drivel.

Smudge Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Un-fcuking-believable.We are only Leicester City, not Real Madrid. Bad news for you Maddog. Whoever we have as a manager, we will sometimes play awful. We will lose games. We will sometimes get our tactics wrong. Even if we were a top side. Just how long have you been watching football? And don't look at your watch!! Face it, we have a 2nd rate squad with a few shining stars. We won't get better for a while yet. You have no idea how many goes I had at saying the same thing.........spot on Just how long have you been watching football? And don't look at your watch!! Bloody funny, I needed that.
Suffolk_fox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 That might be down to the choice of options. Where was the it's only his 2nd game ffs option? Just one of the reasons I haven't voted yet.

You show me the source for everyone being behind megson. 2. Moaning because we are turning into leeds Utd. Moaning because i care about the club. What shall i do join the foxestrust ? 3. Atleast on foxfanzine the people have supported leicester since the filbert street days. Most people on have been supporting them since we moved to the walkers. Yet think they are the real fans of leicester. Jog on ?! Sorry danny dyer ... Sweet as. 2000 post awwwwww bless get him a golden watch.
Raj Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 na went to Forest twice, im possibly one of those idiots who actually goes to all the games to support Leicester City Did well to get onto a computer after the Charlton game pal...where are you Grenwich???
l444ry Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 It's no good keep moaning about the oily rags. It's the engine driver who is the man to focus on. Why should he get away blameless? This club is in no better a league position than when we were skint and with Rob Kelly. Shouldn't be a suprise though - City are only where Portsmouth were consistently placed without Redknapp. I've said it before and will say it again: Unless Mandaric strikes lucky again and some future manager bails him out, we'd better get used to this stuation.
davieG Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 That might be down to the choice of options. Where was the it's only his 2nd game ffs option? Seems the choices are quite simple really two are for getting rid either now or relatively soon and one for keeping him, 60+ for him to go isn't showing any allegiance - that's seems pretty emphatic.

Well he has been on record to say even if it takes him 20 managers to suceed he will use 20
