Stevosevic Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 I've noticed in various posts that "the rumours about DJ may well be true." Can someone please clear up what they are? Cheers

Stevosevic Posted 22 September 2007 Author Posted 22 September 2007 He kissed the badge when he scored against Watford though!
Milky Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 He misses Allen...He's not the only one. If only you knew...if only.
lcfc_thefoxes Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 he looked good when he came on today, shame he didnt start
Thracian Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 He thought he was joining up with Martin Allen and is said to be unhappy that he's gone. All the changes are bound to have been disruptive.
BedsFox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 He's annoyed the flower beds are now over-grown
Mr Happy Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Nah the real reason is hes only just realised he signed for the wrong blues. Shame really, leicester sounds so much like chelski
Micky Ruddle Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 How can anyone play under a manager like Ginger.
lcfc_jme Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 He was gently jogging and looking extremely disinterested after being on the pitch for 5 minutes. Which makes him a good player to some people, apparently. 1 or 2 threatening signs in the corner of the pitch, but other than that he was generally poor, much like the rest of the team. "looks like a park player" was the comment I heard from somebody.
Geo V Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Im not sure about the rumours but obviously MA has had a big impact on his career and he may have chosen us ahead of the other rumoured interested sides like Watford due to MA. If that is the case he may be upset but those worrying feelings may be forgotten unless Megson continues to either substitute him or do what he did today and put him on the subs bench.
David O'Leary Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 He was rather upset when MA left. along with the rest of us
Glen_lcfc Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I don't know what the rumour is. But I think he was by far one of our better players yesterday, far from looking dis-interested, like most of our team, he was running around and making a nusiance of himself, the luck didn't fall for him thats all.
Simi Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I stll think he can do a lot for us this season. Yes,, he's not had the best of starts, but normally when he gets a chance he will stick it away, he needs consistency and a regular partner if he's going to succeed. Neither has happened so far.
stevec Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 along with the rest of us Not quite - I was glad to see the back at him - you seen the state of our squad? Have you seen how many positions we have "no" quality players to fill? Notice our lack of left side players, decent goalscorer, creative midfielders, right wing? Who built that? Not that I am supporting a "rumour" as football runmours are pretty much 99% bullsh*t, if this was true then he needs to get a grip. Managers move on all the time not just in football but in the real world. Doesn't mean you have to stop doing the job you are paid good money for.

dandannieldanok Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Not quite - I was glad to see the back at him - you seen the state of our squad? Have you seen how many positions we have "no" quality players to fill? Notice our lack of left side players, decent goalscorer, creative midfielders, right wing? Who built that? I totally agree mate, for me our squad has just got bigger rather than much better. 12 players were brought in before Blackpool yet Allen still played a defensive midfielder on the wing, a potentially talented but vastly inexperienced left-back (because he had failed to address the situation) and an already failed transfer-listed striker.
stevec Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Not that many. Ok and I'm not saying I'm right - its just what I see as 1 of 25,000 back seat managers eyes, but for me we have no-one you could call "quality enough for a promotion hoping side" in the following: LB, LW/Midfield, Attacking Midfielder, Right Wing (on the basis Allen, the gap in between and Megson been playing Hume there), Striker/Goalscorer So if a first team is 11 and that makes 5 positions - thats a fair percentage of the first team. We almost had to add GK if it wasn't for the loan of Fulop (lets hope they never recall him) - although I'm pretty sure the signing of the Danish plank was not Allen's fault Tell me which positions I have it wrong? Don't tell me Sheehan and Mattock are "quality enough for a promotion hoping side" - because quite frankly they are not - yet.
stevec Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 gone on then???who do you think was responsible for bringing in this large quantity of very average players, if you seriously think it was Martin Allen then you are very very wrong!!! I agree - we will never know what happened behind the scenes. We know Allen insisted on DJ but beyond that who knows who decided on the players. I'm sure Allen was not responsible for a lot of them. I bet Milan came up with Clem - based on Agents phonecalls rather than Allen thinking that he would go after him. However, as a manager you should know your squad and what positions you have quality in and what you don't (he had all summer, all those pre season games). You then go after those positions - the left side especially was a huge failure.

Daggers Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 How can anyone play under a manager like Ginger. The rest of them managed last night, apart from Campbell. On current form he does not deserve a bench spot let alone a multi-million pound fee. He was shite last night.
