Guest Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Once again City sit deep in the bowels of the Championship table and we fans have to endure more heartache and despair. At least this year we can smile at our full bank balance and the exotic names being linked with the club but surely this is madness. Players coming constantly and a new manager who wants new players before he's even checked out the old. Will KAebi ever play for city again? What happended to the Portugeuse winger? Do we really want Glenn Whelan? I'm at a complete loss.
Nationwider Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Do think we might all collectively have lost our sense of reason, perspective and sanity?
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Do think we might all collectively have lost our sense of reason, perspective and sanity? How could you suggest such a thing?! Next you'll be saying we're only six games into the season and three points off the top half...

We've played 6 league games out of 46. 3 of those have arguably been good results (2-2 Palace away, 4-1 Watford home, 0-0 Plymouth away) 2 of those were shite (Blackpool, QPR) 1 was expected (Charlton) We have a chairman with experience who has a put his money on the table. We have a manager with experience even if people don't like his 'ginger face'. For the first time since I started following this club I have some faith in the bank balance where I have had none before - and I'm over the bloody moon. Sure the Martin Allen thing didn't help but fooks sake, it's been a month. Give it a few games yet. I guarantee we'll get our arses handed to us on a platter at Villa Park but the first proper test will be Stoke at home.
Wycombe Fox Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 I've never had a signature but I just couldn't let it go. I guess I just bought a ticket on the pessimistic bus!
Staf Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Like someone said we have played six games i know we have been shocking in most of them games but like someone said we have played six games
Lord Nibblington Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 With regrad to the "It's only 6 games!" After the first game of the season when we lost to Blackpool, the common consensus was to wait 10 games, and see where we were before reacting to our season. Well, we're over halfway there now, and can people honestly say it's looking good?

Palace and Plymouth are shit, i'll throw Forest into the "shit bag" too, they more than matched us.
James. Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Palace and Plymouth are shit, i'll throw Forest into the "shit bag" too, they more than matched us. Oh come on. You've put 3 games in the shit bag and we didn't even lose any of them! Plymouth was a good result. I was there. It was a good result. End of story. Palace was an alright result, just disappointing we threw 2 points away in the last minute. Remember we rarely get anything at either of those places. Now I'm not saying things are peachy. I'm quite depressed about Leicester generally as well. But this negative feeling is a consequence of A LOT of overblown expectations before the season started. As long as we make PROGRESS this year (i.e. more points than last year, a balanced first team and a bit of stability off the pitch) I'll be happy. Milan did say 3 years after all (even if he didn't mean it..?). For me the current state of affairs is more of a log flume than a rollercoaster. Just instead of water at the bottom it's shit. And I don't mind getting covered in shit a few times if it means we get to the Premiership in 3 years. That for me is a realistic expectation still.

I didn't go Plymouth, so i can't say much about that. So yeah, its an O.K point, depending on how you look at it. Palace are crap. End of. We lost 2 points to a team managed by PT whom are also struggling so far. Forest was also a crap performance.

demon_dog Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Some people in the World worry about where the next meal is coming from.We worry about when our shit football team will win a game of football!!!! It's human nature Raj. My nephew is a High School sports teacher. His team went a whole season without defeat, won the schools league and cup. The following season they lost the third game they played. The kids threw stones at my nephews car, told him he was a crap coach, that he ought to be sacked from running the team. That's after only losing one game in his second season in charge. Just shows, no matter what you do, you just can't win either way.
