Kent Fox Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 STEVEN City: Fulop, Stearman, N'Gotty, Kisnorbo, McAuley, Mattock, Clemence, Kishishev, Chambers, Hume, Fryatt. Subs: Henderson, Campbell, Sheehan, Maybury, Kenton. Fez told me they played 3-5-2 at Charlton About three times
JoeyB Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Why do i think we are going to get severely battered tonight? Megson out thread anyone?
Eastern Fox Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Is that the official line up? I wish it was a joke but yeah it's real.
martyn Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 wtf is Maybury doing back?? Again, no big man on the bench so, what will we do if we're 1-0 down with 5 left....consolodate and take the 1-0 or can anyone else envision a 35 pass move ending with a slide rule pass through to DJ who nonchalantly chips the keeper to send the crowd into raptures..
Mark Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Why do i think we are going to get severely battered tonight?Megson out thread anyone? We won't get battered with that many defenders out. Megson will be delighted and it'll be mission accomplished with a 1-0 or 2-0 defeat. Twat.
Geo V Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 On the plus side speedsters Young and Moore are on the bench as well as Carson. 5-0 City
Eastern Fox Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 We won't get battered with that many defenders out. Megson will be delighted and it'll be mission accomplished with a 1-0 or 2-0 defeat. Damage limitation . He brought on more defenders against Charlton at half time, he's bringing it to a new level now-before the match has even started!
Kent Fox Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Surprised MDV or Cort is not around. Playing for pens anyone??
Lillehamring Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 I read on here, a member saying Megson had said we will be playing three at the back. Possible 3-5-2?Still crap team. yeah, but for 3-5-2 to work, don't you actually have to have attacking wingbacks? time for staerman and mattock to shine... speaking of which, i'm surprised mattock has jumped ahead of sheehan... really not looking forward to the (even worse) side we'll have when kish is knackered at half time...
Clogger Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Sadly, this sort of defensive team selection isn't going to help Milan out tomorrow night.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 3 attacking players in the 16..... Chambers in midfield?? Stearman a wing back?? This is pathetic
sdb Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 i like the look of that team tbh, we'll lose of course but the team shouldn't concede many a lot depends on how much licence the full backs are given 2-1 villa common citeh!!!!!
Lillehamring Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 i think i'm now just interested to see how fryatt and hume play together after a while apart - if they actually get the ball!
mitch11 Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 we have got two out and out midfielders in the squad. says it all
Lord Nibblington Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 i think i'm now just interested to see how fryatt and hume play together after a while apart - if they actually get the ball! Course they will! They have to kick off, don't they?
Lillehamring Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 just realised that my 1.000 post could be something along the lines of: '8-0! with seven defenders - what a fu(king disgrace!'
JoeyB Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 We won't get battered with that many defenders out. Megson will be delighted and it'll be mission accomplished with a 1-0 or 2-0 defeat. Twat. Me a twat? or mego ? but with that line up, i see us playing really negative hoofball football. Having Fryatt and Hume up front against Davies and Mellberg, were never going to win that! ANd playing 5-3-2 or 3-2-3-2 prepares ourselves for some really attacking football by villa, seems to me like were going to sitback and try and relax
Blue Bob Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 What a sh*t line up. I love the blues but I have a feeling we are going to get battered tonight!!! I hope not.
mkingy Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Course they will! They have to kick off, don't they? Fryatt to stumble over the ball, and Harewood to knick the ball ahead of Hume, waltz through the defense and slot it home.
Kent Fox Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Laughable. Ha! You won't be saying that if we DO win! Everyone was slating the team and the subs at F****t, remember?? Keep the faith
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 My god Patric Burger's still playing AND on the bench for Villa - snap him up MM!
