Dames Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 I'm actually quite looking forward to this now. I hope were all in good voice
Ric Flair Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Come on you Blue Boys. It's a one off game, there must be an outcome tonight, no point hoping to snatch anything. The game must be won, so try to do it from the off. Play without fear, Villa are expected to win. Put in a brave performance and the fans will be proud, put in a turgid and liveless display and you'll see a crowd of less than 20,000 on Saturday. It's up to you. 4-3-3 please.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 We can do this and need it for the old confidence booster
Koke Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 We usually raise our games against far superior teams ala Fulham and Spurs and even Villa last season we played well considering the circumstances we were in. Villa will play a second string side with the likes of Maloney, Petrov and Harewood (the black Homer Simpson as someone called him the other day, I think its safe to say that.. or not.) I just hope we don't sit back in a true Gary Megson style with a strategy of damage limitation - Otherwise it'll turn out to be exactly damage limitation. The team selection against Charlton were woeful, lets hope for some common sense tonight from Megson. Although I wouldn't put my money on it. C'mon City, put in a good performance.
Koke Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 And if we don't win tonight, then I hope Villa win the damn thing. I like their team.

Still think we'll get beat, but might as well get stuffed 6v0 going full pelt, than trying to defend and hold on. Lets go for it.
Koke Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Losing won't be a disaster, it's the manner in we'll lose in that'll cause uproar here. We are desperate for 3 points against Stoke on Saturday, and our confidence is very low. So if we put a good performance in tonight and lose by a two goal margin, then I think most of will be satisfied. Its the Stoke game and the league itself that matters, not this cup.
TrentVilla Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 And if we don't win tonight, then I hope Villa win the damn thing. I like their team. As a Villa fan I never thought that I would hear a Leicester fan say that! I think we will make a few changes tonight to the starting line up from Saturday but perhaps not as many as some people are expecting. As you will all know this competition has always been one MON has taken seriously and Villa certainly are this season as it represents a very real possibility of a route in to Europe. It is likely that you'll see Malonney and Harewood in the team tonight along with one of our up and coming young central midfielders Issah Osbourne. Petrov and Gardner will also probably come in to the starting line up while Davies who we signed from WBA is a certainty to start.

Its arguably your best chance for a European place as most of the big sides rest their better players so I expect most of your first team to be there for this one. As for us, as many have said its a one off game but regardless of the result I hope that we manage to come out of it with enough confidence to get us to where we were after the Watford game as we had a feeling then that we would be challenging for promotion, Two or three weeks later and its gone a bit pear shaped and we need to get back on track. Unfortunately I wont be at this game but lets hope the lads do us proud. COME ON LEICESTER!

The_Persian Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Hello everyone! This is my first post here but I frequently read your forum to get som info on what you guys thing about Kaebi. Do you have any clue on how the lineup is going to look like tonight? Is Kaebi included? COME ON LEICESTER!
Geo V Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Hello everyone! This is my first post here but I frequently read your forum to get som info on what you guys thing about Kaebi. Do you have any clue on how the lineup is going to look like tonight? Is Kaebi included? COME ON LEICESTER! He played in a reserve game yesterday so I dont think he`ll feature unfortunately. Most of us are getting increasingly cheesed off that he isnt getting the chance, lets hope it happens this weekend but I very much doubt it as todays match would have been the ideal opportunity to see him play.
The People's Hero Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Villa will play a second string side with the likes of Maloney, Petrov and Harewood (the black Homer Simpson as someone called him the other day, I think its safe to say that.. or not.) It's safe to call him that... I think. What you can't say is that all blacks are lazy, workshy, overrated nobs. Like he is.
Zingari Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 (in my best norwegian accent ) martin o neill !!!! your boys are in for one hell of a beating !! ( list of former AV greats to follow )

Manwell Pablo Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 Word on street is Maloney Davies and Osbourne are starting. And that the great Elvis Hammond is injured again, damn it!
Koke Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 What about the chant, your just a black homer simpson, is that allowed? Course it is. If I could make it tonight, then I'd start that chant. Its too funny to not share it with the Villa faithful.
Master Fox Posted 26 September 2007 Posted 26 September 2007 villa 0 foxes 2 ahh happy days at the villa ( not in a homo-erotic way ) Roberto Mancini was class that day. But when Arnie banged in that goal off the crossbar in front of our fans, well I don't think I can remember celebrating a goal it that manner whereby nearly breaking my ankle in the process. An angle of me going f cuking delirious on MOTD made up the fact I got started on by Villa fans and one man deciding to kick me for wearing a Leicester Shirt. Happy Days !! You'll Never Beat The Leicester!!! (Yeah, that's what we used to sing to Villa fans)
