Really want to have my rant, im so pissed off with being a England Fan.... All it seems to be is "England Expects" Shite in the paper on the news and then as usual its the fans who suffer...

US!!!

I did watch the game and i thought we did play well upto the penalty, then after that, GAME OVER!!

I am not confident when i watch any England team play.... but all that aside we shouldnt be struggling in this group... No disrespect to Russia or Croatia because they are good sides... very difficult in fact... but we should be beating them....

It always seems just to be a over hyped thing when any England team plays, everybody jumps on the bandwagon....The media get excited, everyone gets lashed (which is fun by the way) and then bang we are left to wonder what might of been......

fooking shit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not good enough!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Absolutely agreed. We're better than this.

Gutted

Fair play to McClaren for keeping the shape of the team and they defended like lions but if only we would approach games without fear like Argentina and Brazil do when playing away as we would have beaten these easily. We just haven't got the belief. We saw how we could play when we upped the urgency when we went 2-1 down but by then the horse had bolted so to speak.

I think we need a manager who will allow the players to express themselves and cut out all this crap of Rooney and every other striker coming bacl to defend so often and lacking the energy to do damage in the other end of the pitch in the second half.

Bring on Zico!

IMHO it all goes wrong for our budding sportsmen and women at an early age - we're not taught to win. Nowadays we're told that winning is bad because that means that somebody else has lost and that's not good for their self esteem!

Schools don't tend to encourage competitiveness - it's all about inclusion.

My lad's football team have a chap playing who is nearly 13 stone! He's 10 years old for Christ's sake! He can hardly move. Surely there's a Health & Safety issue here - what if he falls on someone or kills himself through trying to run? They paint his 'shirt' on!

But oh no - apparently just because he's 'overweight' it shouldn't stop him playing football. There are other kids at the school who are fitter and can play better football. What's that all about?

School sports day? It's not about the winning, it's about the taking part? B*ll*cks! Winning is first and second is nowhere!

When I was at school you had to accept that there were things that you could do and things that you couldn't. That's life - get over it!

I've got dodgy eyesight without specs or lenses so I couldn't be a pilot. I accepted that - I didn't expect the RAF to build a jet fighter especially for people with dodgy vision.

Apologies if I've offended anyone.

Rant rant rant blah blah blah etc etc

Absolutely, my sister spent 3 years at school in the US and the difference in attitudes huge. In the US if you finish second its almost like finishing last, here you'll get an MBE.

But I do believe it has something to do with the spoilt lifestyles of the players, watching england I notice very few players who really seem to fight, its like they would rather have the summer off to renovate their new multi million home or spend a month on a yacht than play for their country.

I don't think its that we aren't taught the importance of winning, I think its more to do with the importance of not losing. That in itself creates fear and makes our players not perform like they should do. I am sick of the defending that our forwards have to do. No outlet when we defend corners, Rooney running back today, Heskey last time.

We really need our players to be aloud to express themselves as we have evidently got some real quality players but are so scared of losing that they dont play to there potential at International level but manage it fine domestically for their clubs.

Drawing with Macedonia was are key game and will stand out.

Still take the 97 away game in Italy

Needed a draw and Italy where a much better side then Russia. England played for the shirt, playing with passion and with their hearts on there sleeves. Incey bleeding and Wrighty up front, non stop running. Gazza playing like a true englishmen and not tarting about like lampard.

You should play with passion when you wear the shirt. Look at the rugby guys ... Passion.

So I'm the only one who thought we were defending too deeply for over ten minutes prior to us giving away the penalty and that well completley deserved to lose.

Ah well. I'll enjoy Euro 2008 with or without England in it, I could do with Tournament off. Fed up with us slating every player that has something resembling a bad game, over hyped expectations and ridiciclous media interest and the just under 59 million rent a fans.

McLaren out.

Yeah but every single football fan would love that one final with england in it and that one english victory. Then we could all die happy. Still rather it be Leicester in the F.A Cup final still but thats never gonna happen.

Great goal from Rooney.

Never a penalty.

Didn't deserve to win anyway. The game that cost us ultimatly, was Macedonia at home. If we can't beat the mighty Croatia, Russia (albeit no mugs, especially at home) and Macedonia then we don't deserve to be in the tournament in the first place.

We still have a glimmer of hope and that's all it is. Typical England relying on others to do the job for us.

Saying something inside still says we'll qualify, but maybe im that gutted im just clutching at straws.

I think we'll still qualify, we will somehow fluke it right at the end and no one will remember how crap we where. We will get to euro 08 and go out in the first round and the whole nation will be in uproar. If we get to the finals, we need to changed the manager to someone with abit of passion and heart.

Typed out three paragraphs and deleted the lot. To sum up. Just pissed off, we aren't going to make it. Neither do we deserve to.

Spot on MP.

6,000 or so in the ground could see it as clear as day.

Even Mrs Hullfox picked up on it and said we would lose if we carried on like like that.

Useless....

I have decided now not to waste my time with it all.... i like everybody else want england to do well....

But as i have said in previous posts im more of a club man....

Im more worried about what Leicester do....

We would prob even turn England over!! :):):):angry::angry:

To many ****ing players behind the ball causing confusion.

No, you weren't.

Defending like that always causes more trouble than it's worth. Russia weren't exactly flooding our defence with attackers, having all those plays behind the ball just didn't help at all. It just makes you sit a lot deeper, resulting in them practically passing a 10 yard pass and being in our area.

Amateur stuff.

It doesn't all rest on Israel, I have a sneaky feeling Macedonia could trouble Croatia in Skopje. I know its a long shot as they would have to win but they gave Croatia a real scare in Zagreb and as we all know they fcked our campaign right up. Come on Macedonia and Israel on 17/11/07 :scarf:

Even if we somehow get through I don't really get any sort of satisfaction from it.

So we're relying on Israel and Macedonia to qualify.

Marvellous.
